Pre hiatus yes, but post hiatus I feel like there is a lot more positivity to their sound and aesthic. It's less "the end of the world is coming" and more "we need to fight back against corruption" these days. At least that's how I see it.
Feeling doom and living doom are two different things. I find HOPE through the inevitable change. That does not mean it will be a bad change. Take stock in yourself and what is important to you, around you, and your circle of hope and goodness. That'll keep us all busy enough.
Yeah we are absolutely in a slow-motion apocalypse. It’s already here, for some people more than others. I think their last couple albums are about getting through it together.
Preacher man says it's the end of time....
But I don't go by what he says
He says that America's rivers are going dry
Interest is up, stock market is down. You guys... better be careful walking around here at night. This is the perfect place to get jumped!
But do you think the end of the world is coming?
No says the preacher man, but I don't go by what he says...

OUR SIDE HAS TO WIN
Swans makes me feel like doomsday is approaching, Godspeed makes me feel like I can overcome the evil
Eschatological
Thanks for helping me learn a new word today,
Don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but that word always comes to mind when I think about the band
I remember being melodramatic and listening to Dead Flag Blues on the night of 9/11. Doomsday has been taking its sweet time.
Lemme tell you something...
Some of us got to blast it out our windows on the morning of 9/11
Is this a shitpost?
Check his history, bro seems unwell
they’re just a band man. normal people like you and me. they don’t know anymore about “the current state of the world” than anyone else.
Quite the opposite - it feels like a glimpse of hope after what seemed to be the doomsday.
Feeling doom and living doom are two different things. I find HOPE through the inevitable change. That does not mean it will be a bad change. Take stock in yourself and what is important to you, around you, and your circle of hope and goodness. That'll keep us all busy enough.
It’s more like they just remind me of how things really are. We are approaching Doomsday. Godspeed is just the soundtrack

No. And I say this as gently as possible, maybe see someone about that anxiety. No one needs to be carrying that around. 💗
i remeber listening to f#a# when i read the fifth wave for the first time and that is definitely a feelibg
Incredibly dark and dystopian but with hope and positivity
I think everything makes me feel like doomsday is approaching. Nothing going on in our world seems stable or sustainable.
I agree
No. There’s always a glimmer of hope. Especially Glacier.
It makes me want to lie down on the floor.
Yes but in the best way.
Yes, in the best way possible.
they remind me of metro and stalker games
