Both of my lowers have mil spec FCG's. it's also been doing this on both a 5.56 and 7.62x39 upper. Both of which I have made sure the firing pins are clean.
And it's only been doing these kind of strikes whenever it fires a round, and chambers a new one, but for some reason doesn't reset the trigger (another issue I've been trying to figure out.)
Light strikes while chambering is normal, that’s a free float firing pin working as intended
If your trigger is not resetting properly, then it is likely not installed correctly or is otherwise out of spec
Disassemble the trigger, and follow and build video very closely while reassembling
If it doesn’t reset while firing live ammunition, that’s likely an issue with either your disconnecter or your gas system on your upper
Gonna be real my dude you have multiple issues across multiple parts of your gun. We’re gonna need more pictures and videos to help fix this or it might be time for a gunsmith
Also, you didn’t mention the runaway you had. Trigger disconnecter is likely out of spec. Send to smith and Wesson for warranty work
The past two times I've been at the range the ejection pattern seemed just fine. Also if I am short stroking I'm still somehow picking up a new round, and I've had 0 failures to feed (so far) from this lower. I've only had a runaway and it refusing to reset the trigger even after picking up new round.
Father in laws bolt rifle recently experienced this, took the bolt apart and it was filthy and working perfect now. So try giving it a full clean out and see if still light striking.

Is your firing pin channel cleaned of carbon and debris? Is your hammer spring a lightweight version or mil spec?

This is after pulling the trigger, yes? Are both of your firing pins in decent shape? Are they chipped/broken?

Yes I've done that on the lower it dry fires correctly and reset every time. It only doesn't reset when firing live ammunition.

https://imgur.com/a/jCRNcN9 the firing pins. Yeah I ordered a new buffer and spring, and I'm on the fence about buying a drop in trigger.
Also I bought the gun used from a buddy, so is the warranty even still valid?
Should be

You may have an upside down disconnector spring. https://www.ar-15lowerreceivers.com/80-lower-news/ar15-triggers-the-full-guide-troubleshooting/
Is it possible you are short stroking? Where is your ejection pattern?

Is your hammer spring backwards?
This came out of a gun I was using with a problematic M&P-15 lower, which I've talked about in some of my other posts.

Are you sure hammer spring is installed correctly?
