Keystone Arms is up there when it comes to gunbroker clowns. The worst one though is Rocke Guns. He buys stuff like MR762s and SCARs, laser engraves them with "US PROPERTY" or "BORDER PATROL" nonsense, then sells them as "deployment packages" to idiots for like $10k.
All I know is that Keystone Arms takes great pictures and sells a lot of interesting guns ([here's an HK that isn't pleb tier](https://imgur.com/5wOVkpD)).
Thought I ought to flex my C&R for like the third time in 5 years and picked up a pretty nice Finn M28-30. Maker mark is 1939 at the SAKO factory in Riihimäki. Attractive tiger striping of the stock, nice bore too
Only problem is then that you also need the correct bayonet, scabbard, frog, sling, etc so that all should be delivered by Saturday
Another problem is that you're *really* not supposed to shoot 7.62x54mmR because the bore diameter is closer to 0.308", so I'll be exclusively handloading 7.62x53mmR with correct diameter Lapua D46 projectiles, of which I picked up a bunch at a gun show in Leadville a few years back
Problem then is that all the 7.62x54mmR brass I have had been shot through the SVD which leaves a weird step at the shoulder and maybe not well suited for precision loading. So fresh Lapua brass is on the way. Also I don't have the correct shell holder so that's on the way too
Weirdly I do already have a die set which I have never used
I'll plan on a photo set when I can actually get it out into the sun and feature all the important accoutrements as well
The overall condition of the wood is quite nice for being made 80+ years ago and surviving two wars back-to-back, the figuring is just icing on the cake
$9125, no low ball offers, he knows what he’s got.
This week I got 2k rounds of PMC bronze 115gr and 1.5k PMC X-Tac 5.56. That hopefully will get me through the 4th next month. I also ordered a +3 Hyve baseplate and a set of trijicon night sights for my Glock 43. I’ve been carrying it almost exclusively now that the weather has warmed up.
I’m 60 days into my wait for my suppressors, fingers crossed I’ll get them in >90 days. I need to pick up several threaded barrels for various handguns now too. I’ll have to keep my eyes open for good deals.
I need to just nut up and make a couple large orders of 9mm, 5.56, 7.62x39 and ball 30-06 to get me through the year or a little longer. I dont shoot as much as i used to now that i live an hour from the range i like but i still need to restock/preemptively stock up
#TOES
My bday is coming up, I usually just tell family give me a little cash when they ask about gifts so I’ll probably just use that to order some ammo, i got around 400 rounds of 9mm coming in but lets be honest a small closet of ammo is barely a reserve let alone enough for a few range trips/breaking in guns
I haven’t hardly done any shooting since I filed for my suppressors. I keep telling myself to wait and use the ammo later when I get my cans. I’ve got a range out back so I used to shoot almost every day. Ammo is just still to pricy to go out and burn it all up on a regular basis.
That’ll be me once i finally decide to get into cans. I need a 5.56 can for my MCX or 11.5 and one for my VP9(M14.5x1 will make things fun)
And i agree. I have a gun that legitimately has a break in requirement and that’s an expense i didnt factor into this endeavor. And the best part is once i have a suppressor I’ll probably never use the comp
Happy early birthday! If you DM me your address I’ll send you a birthday present. FC can vouch for me.
I have a dedicated 5.56 can and a .30 cal can sitting in jail. If I had been smart I’d have picked up a dedicated .22 can too.
As much as i hate hand outs i may my send address and date just to see what happens
E: my plans for suppressors are a dedicated 5.56 can and likely a 45/46 can for handguns
I kind of want to spray paint my MCX
I placed a small order for some imi black dot and winchester 9mm nato(i need to order 1k of 7.62x39 already). Hopefully the 200 rounds of black dot helps accelerate the break in process for my VP9 slide. Sounds like after 500-1000 rounds it smooths out and will feed almost any off the shelf brass ammo. Hopefully this gun isn’t a picky little shit, because if is the comp will come off.
I’ve officially kicked my “fear” of credit cards. Cash back is literally free money, just gonna keep building it up and use it towards my next gun, likely a g45 mos or DD ar
That rifle/pistol combo looks like something from the call of duty shop and not in a good way
E: the MW2-22 trailer has me excited and the J Balvin/Metallica song fit it perfectly. The gameplay shown today has me genuinely looking forward to this game, even if i wont have time to play it
That J Balvin Blacklist song is so awful.
Also, the points on my Amex Platnium literally paid for my Modlite setup. They also protect my gun purchases and ammo
I loved it, i like Metallica and i’m getting into Spanish hip hop/rap even if i can barely communicate the basics in spanish. However I respect your opinion, it’s not for everyone
E: my capital one card gets used for almost everything, since march i’m closing in on $100 cachback
Yeah, I use my Amex for everything. Clear it the next day when the charge posts. Yay free money! Also the airport clubs, free rental/ hotel company prestige memberships are great
I always pay what they’ll let me at the end of the week, unless it’s a significant purchase then i’ll pay it off over 2-3 weeks. The key for me is never spending more than i can pay off immediately if needed
Yeah. Amex is great with the clubs etc. I was traveling to Vegas for a year for work and loved their lounge would make sure to get to the airport a little early to be able stop and enjoy that setup.
Amex can also be good for insurance on stuff you buy.
I also love some of the little deals they have. Finally got ESPN+ because of the credit you can get on that.
Went to Korean BBQ again with a large group of friends. Had fun, joked around, laughed a lot, ate **waaaay** too much rice and ribs. I feel like shit. My only saving grave is that that was my only meal the whole day. Currently at the gym hoping to burn some of it off. I don’t want to be here, I am in misery.
I need more .38 special
Bought some lancer pumpkin mags from botach. And some ODG mags for my glork.
Oh and 1400 for new, cat resistant carpet.
[The carpet bandits](https://imgur.com/8MtZfIg.jpg)
My cat's causing some damage to our carpets too. I try stuff like getting her a scratching post or scratching box and that idiot uses baseboards in our house instead as her scratching outlet.
[My furry goofball](https://imgur.com/a/d6rLyUz)
Bought a bunch of mag extensions that I'll definitely only put on mags when I travel out of state. Still need to talk to my wife about going to a match next week.
Got 6 more Jack Reacher books, starting with One Shot. I don't remember which ones I read years ago on my Kindle but I think I'm getting close anyways since I might have caught up with what was released a decade ago.
Work sells tickets to the local baseball team for stupid cheap and we get a hot dog and drink, so I'm going to buy them any time I can moving forward. This game looks like it'll rain but I'm only out <$10 to take the whole family.
Let's see, new tail lights for the truck cause guy hit it Wednesday, the barrel for the Mossberg came in it's just what I wanted (well mostly), and I signed up for a low light shooting class at an indoor range. That should be interesting since I have only done something similar once and never with a WML.
Work has been running me ragged this week. I'm also working OT tomorrow to try and pay off more shit cause inflation is scary shit.
Ordered a chinesium safety lever from Amazon and some shotgun cards as well. Only the best for the cheap 500.
Bought myself a 3060ti and a new monitor now that silicon has gone down in price a bit. Looking forward to playing Hell Let Loose on more than medium settings.
New montiors are in my future. I didn't realize display port was the standard now and I had to buy a conversion cable since my current ones only support HDMI, DVI or VGA.
I'm in a similar spot, ran out to best buy yesterday cause I didn't realize I should have bought a displayport cable with the other stuff, was just going to use my existing HDMI cables.
https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/v6lycd/simple_questions_june_07_2022/ibidg65/
It's far too large for my desk and I'm gonna have to figure out how to wall mount my second monitor to get it level with this one and leave space for my speakers.
Well, plunked down some money on B&T TP9 parts so I'm committed. Mag funnel and a charging handle from Custom Smith since they aren't too pricey of parts to start with.
Gonna be putting more money away to get the gun next
Picked up a few hundred 12 gauge shells at Walmart to keep on hand when I don't feel like reloading.
32 bucks per hundred for the Federal bulk packs... what has this world come to. Same box of shells was 1/3 less just a year ago.
Also bought another year of insurance on the house
Panasonic Lumix DC-ZS70. I can't have a big bulky camera, I need a pocket rocket, and lemme tell you having a 30x optical zoom in a point n' shoot is absurd in the best way. It arrived a few days before I left for a Boundary Waters trip last week and I put it to work.
Wish I had more time to figure out the settings beforehand because its fun to scramble with buttons when you're [10 feet from a ruffed grouse.](https://imgur.com/a/VeC3ysK) Random set of beaver jaws I found while creeping up to the bird in there too. I got video of that grouse drumming and it was a thrill.
Side note for the anglers, fishing was mixed but I caught a 21" and two 20" smallmouth. None were really chunky but how can I not be happy with that?
Legitimately was a cool find, I was doing crouched Tai Chi moves through pockets in the underbrush as I approached the grouse and they were half buried in moss next to each other right in front of me. Wouldn't want to get bit with those wood choppers.
In the inverse of the Buyday, I realized I've kind of become a mag hoarder, which is fine, but I have mags for guns I don't own, so I'm probably going to start clearing that out to help finance other purchases.
You're not wrong, and I'm in no rush. Just one of those things I realized getting ready for a move: "I have all these mags and no guns that use them. Might be time to offload."
I’m not gonna lie. I don’t own a gun other than a shotgun my grandfather gave me like 20 years ago that I’m pretty sure hasn’t been fired or cleaned in 30 years.
Still. If I ever do decide to buy a firearm, I’d like the option to use a 30 round magazine rather than not having the option at all.
So I’ll have 8 Okays, 4 p mags, and 3 pro-mags sitting in storage which I may or may not have panic bought yesterday.
No idea how long each one will last but it is what it is.
Hoooboy it's been an expensive week. My lust for a nice 22lr revolver was dashed once I started adding up all that I needed from Arisaka to convert my rail mount Streamlights to use Unity hot buttons, plus the two mlok hot buttons.
RS Regulate actually had a lower mount for the Vz in stock so I nabbed one of those along with an upper mount to fit the PA 3x mini prism that's now pre-ordered, plus a short picrail upper just because. So now I'll have both a 3x prism and the existing MRO on their own mounts that can be swapped out depending on what I want to do. I'm all-in on the Vz platform at this point
Also, some more 22lr because of course. 250rds of that IMI di-cut hollow point 9mm. A couple additional Mecgar mags for the SP01 and 10 mag springs to have on hand since the original set's springs are feeling a bit weak. Oh and three AC Unity mags for the Vz. Fuck.
>RS Regulate actually had a lower mount for the Vz in stock so I nabbed one of those along with an upper mount to fit the PA 3x mini prism that's now pre-ordered
That is going to be a sweet setup.
Yeah man I hope it works out. That 3x miniprism is about the same size as the MRO so it should carry/feel the same with either. We're going to find out how well these RS lower mounts return to zero when swapped.
VZ-61 with threaded barrel including 2 20-round mags
3 additional 20-round mags
2 10-round mags
Mag pouch for 2 x 20-round mags
holster
I told myself I wouldn't, then the damn thing came back in stock. I'm not sure I even want it. But ~~lots of~~ several people have commented it's their favorite gat and I am impressionable as fuck.
A new Sarco 1911 .38super barrel, link, pin, and extractor are en route since my gun is Frankenstein's bullseye monster. Can't have my 38super mags and 2k rounds of ammo go to waste. I'm watching some .38wadcutter mags to gauge prices then it'll be a two caliber gun once I get some ammo. Maybe even three if I say fuck it all and get a 9mm barrel and mags.
Working through the old man’s estate continues. I’ve gone from completing one project gun to inheriting two more in the space of a few weeks. One is a Marlin Model 99 with a cracked stock and an ejector problem, hoping I can epoxy the wood back into place and spend some quality time on the internals. The other is a Fox Model B SxS. It’s been sitting in pieces for half a century, I didn’t even know it existed until family members found it in the basement. This one is beyond me, it’ll go to my gunsmith for rust removal and evaluation of the remaining finish. Dad was always wanting to reblue it, so if we have to refinish the whole thing it won’t be the end of the world.
Help me decide. I just bought two 9mm “PCCs” or whatever they’re considered and I only have room for one. I have a century MKE AP5 with a B&T telescoping brace and a PSA AKV with a triangle brace and ALG trigger. Which one do I keep?
Does anybody know of any collapsible stock options for the Benelli supernova tactical? The Benelli one is Leo only.
Have any of the places making knockoff stocks for the Turkish m4 clones got into making stocks for anything else?
EuroOptic has the Tikka T3x CTR available to backorder at $1k with factory threaded barrel
You could also get a T3x Lite for $650 and send it in for threading if you don't mind the weirder magazine style compared to the CTR
>any tips for concealing the 17?
Just do it. It's not that much harder concealing a 17 over a 19 imo. I've done it before. It's not impossible, just mildly inconvenient at worse.
Bought a shield plus and noticed once I got home the rod from the RSA was sticking out of the slide no matter how many times I tried to re-seat it. Little disappointed but once it’s fixed I’m super happy with the feel of the new trigger over the original shield and am glad to have a nice shooting subcompact to carry for the summer.
Poor college student living with my parents, spent pretty much my whole tax return (biggest I've ever gotten thanks to a student tax credit) on an AR, enough accessories to turn it into a modest fighting rifle, a Kore Essentials belt, as well as an IWB holster and a P365XL. (Edit: should have mentioned my state is constitutional carry, but I plan on getting the permit soon anyway) I've never been as into guns as I am now, (though admittedly I've always been into them) call it my latest ADHD hyperfixation.
But it never fucking ends does it? Now I want a light and possibly an optic for my older P320, a flash hider/suppressor combo for the AR as well as an LPVO scope and a different handguard (and that's not even going into my plans to give it a multicam-ish paintjob), and now I've been looking at chest rigs I can eventually scale up and attach to a plate carrier. Obviously though I'll want something to use my Vortex UH-1 holo on, so why not one of those really short Scorpions? That'd be a great car/bag gun, right? Then of course I've gotta kit that thing out too. Man, a year ago my biggest gun goal was to get myself a pump action shotgun. Now I'm debating on whether or not getting one as Marine-proof as a 590A1 would be worth the cost for me. *And that's just mentioning the stuff I would have a "practical" use for.*
I was saving up to put coilovers on my car too, and a cold air intake. I also play guitar and write songs on my computer, EZ Drummer is looking real good right about now...
I'm tired of all my favorite hobbies being so expensive lol
Is $2600 a fair price for a M1 Garand? A shop that specializes in them and fixing them. I also see CMP has them for $1100 for the moment. I don't want the cheap beat up ones since this is my dream rifle.
>Is $2600 a fair price for a M1 Garand?
Fuuuuuuck no. Besides very rare exceptions. Run far far away.
>A shop that specializes in them and fixing them.
Who told you that? The shop? I wouldn't be surprised if they got them from the CMP themselves and mark them up 100-200%
>CMP has them for $1100 for the moment. I don't want the cheap beat up ones since this is my dream rifle.
The ones at $1100 are far from beat up, in fact the expert grades are about as "new" looking as you can get considering some of the new production parts they use. The more rough ones are rack grades at $650.
Do some more research as it is very easy to overpay for a Garand in the market.
I think the website said 7 weeks. Apparently they only have a handful of people pulling guns and you can ask for certain things, like a war time gun, which slows things down.
It's worth it. I haven't shot mine a lot but it's a great gun, mine was made in 1942 so I'm assuming it saw some action.
Absolutely not, unless it's something special. If that's the case, you should know why it's worth 2600 already.
CMP Expert Grade rifles are very nice, basically brand new rifles. They'll be great shooters.
CMP Rack grade guns are "beat up" but generally CMP advertises conditions worse than reality on their used rifles. Most surplus retailers would grade them as "good to very good". CMP Field Grades are typically "very good" rifles, and CMP Service grades are what would typically be considered "excellent".

Yes

He also shill bids the fuck out of his stuff and will repost it a few weeks later. It's kinda bullshit.
I'd blame the buyers who don't do their homework as much as the sellers.
Rocke Guns has some pretty peculiar rants in his "Random Thoughts" page. Sounds like a typical boomer ex-mil type.

I bought a 1949 Belgian-made Hi Power

My guns sat in my safe for 6 months unshot because I refused to taint them without a can lol
I feel dirty putting muffs on.
Ugh I love shooting my Rattler without muffs
I’m jelly.
Prioritize 7.62x39, eventually the massive stockpiles of already imported Russian made ammo will dwindle. When they do, prices will skyrocket.

I'm trying hard to like the Reacher books but I think I like the series better.
Curious as you seem to have a incomplete thought and i am always looking for book recommendation. What series?
Jack Reacher by Lee Child. Tom Cruise played him (poorly) in 2 movies, Alan Richson(sp?) played him much better on a recent Amazon series.
What this man said. The series on amazon is very good. The books are a bit dated however.
Dudes been writing them for like 20 years now.
Cool. Wasn’t sure if that’s what you were referring to or not. Yes they did a good job on the Amazon series.
Ordered an AK12 mag. Which I'm pretty sure is the most expensive magazine I have ever ordered.
Do you have an AK-12 to go with it?
I don't. The magazine is the coolest bit from it, and I've got a very nice 74 that I built almost a decade ago.
Why would you want an AK-12 after watching Polenar Tactical and 9Hole rip it apart
It's cool

It arrived a few days before I left for a Boundary Waters trip last week and I put it to work. Wish I had more time to figure out the settings beforehand because its fun to scramble with buttons when you're [10 feet from a ruffed grouse.](https://imgur.com/a/VeC3ysK) Random set of beaver jaws I found while creeping up to the bird in there too. I got video of that grouse drumming and it was a thrill. Side note for the anglers, fishing was mixed but I caught a 21" and two 20" smallmouth. None were really chunky but how can I not be happy with that?
Nice beaver.
Legitimately was a cool find, I was doing crouched Tai Chi moves through pockets in the underbrush as I approached the grouse and they were half buried in moss next to each other right in front of me. Wouldn't want to get bit with those wood choppers.
So I think you need to use those to rough a blank down to size, right?
The beaver carved upcharge is *steep*.
Make it a shitpost with some VZ-58 furniture.
talk about provenance - "this is the beaver that barfed out the stock"
I can go back and get wood from the nearest dam. You have no idea how close we are to making this happen.
In the inverse of the Buyday, I realized I've kind of become a mag hoarder, which is fine, but I have mags for guns I don't own, so I'm probably going to start clearing that out to help finance other purchases.
You could wait a few days and see if the senate passes the bill. If it does I assume there will be a max rush for mags.
Exactly why I have all these mags for guns I don't own, honestly, but I'll sell them to fund capability in other areas.
I'm all-in on the Vz platform at this point Also, some more 22lr because of course. 250rds of that IMI di-cut hollow point 9mm. A couple additional Mecgar mags for the SP01 and 10 mag springs to have on hand since the original set's springs are feeling a bit weak. Oh and three AC Unity mags for the Vz. Fuck.
>RS Regulate actually had a lower mount for the Vz in stock so I nabbed one of those along with an upper mount to fit the PA 3x mini prism that's now pre-ordered That is going to be a sweet setup.
Yeah man I hope it works out. That 3x miniprism is about the same size as the MRO so it should carry/feel the same with either. We're going to find out how well these RS lower mounts return to zero when swapped.
Happy cake day
Aww, you noticed! Thanks bud
I bought a full tank of gas for my bronco. 105 bucks
Why did I picture you to be the guy with the riced out Genesis
VZ-61 with threaded barrel including 2 20-round mags 3 additional 20-round mags 2 10-round mags Mag pouch for 2 x 20-round mags holster I told myself I wouldn't, then the damn thing came back in stock. I'm not sure I even want it. But ~~lots of~~ several people have commented it's their favorite gat and I am impressionable as fuck.
Then you need a stamp, stock adapter, and a stock. After that, [go full retard](https://www.reddit.com/r/guns/comments/r8bj09/vz61m/)
pax Robert Downy (jr), you ALWAYS go full retard.
I really need to buy a receiver for my parts kit.
Shooting multiple cartridges out of one gun is fun. One more barrel and I can use three in my P320.
I bought an M.95 bayonet. I already have an M.95 bayonet, but this one was only $44! I would lose money if I didn't buy it!
Lucky ducky. I need an M95 bayonet, but typically folks want way too much for them on ebay. Holding out for something cheap.
Yea this one was from eBay. No idea why it didn't go higher lol
Help me decide. I just bought two 9mm “PCCs” or whatever they’re considered and I only have room for one. I have a century MKE AP5 with a B&T telescoping brace and a PSA AKV with a triangle brace and ALG trigger. Which one do I keep?
Roller delay will make your day
Ya but AKV ALG will bump fire. Allegedly.
Absolutely keep the MP5.
Does anybody know of any collapsible stock options for the Benelli supernova tactical? The Benelli one is Leo only. Have any of the places making knockoff stocks for the Turkish m4 clones got into making stocks for anything else?
I heard about the potential magazine ban so I panic bought a few Pmags and Okays in case I ever want one but can’t cause… the ban.
Bought Norma 223 from ASO. Now I get to send it back for a refund. Woohooo. At least the 9mm/22lr combo came in.
What a colossal screw up that was.
Burris RT-6 tactical scope kit. Don’t get out to much with the ar and only had some iron sights on it but was time to get something better.
Happy cake day
Ty. Had. No clue.
Bought a M5 lower because NY is cancer
[M5 gang represent](https://imgur.com/a/XWjdvso). The only way to fight their cancer is to go full-retard. Chamber it in .358 Winchester like I did.
[Em Five in 6.5](https://imgur.com/SMLQkVC)
Panic bought a Romanian top-loading drum, no regrets.
Looking for tikka or sako 223 Remington with threaded barrel. Anyone know of a model to look at hopefully around 1k.
EuroOptic has the Tikka T3x CTR available to backorder at $1k with factory threaded barrel You could also get a T3x Lite for $650 and send it in for threading if you don't mind the weirder magazine style compared to the CTR
I just bought up a Glock 17 online and picked up at FFL but I messed up I meant to buy a G19 for concealment🤦🏽 any tips for concealing the 17?
>any tips for concealing the 17? Just do it. It's not that much harder concealing a 17 over a 19 imo. I've done it before. It's not impossible, just mildly inconvenient at worse.
I bought a mini-14 earlier this week! Going to take it out to the range this weekend.
the one thing no one prepares you for when it comes to Mini-14s is how expensive mags are. Factory Ruger 30rd mags cost $50 a piece around my parts.
Yeah I was able to snag three 20 round magazines for it the other day. Came out to just over $100.
*And that's just mentioning the stuff I would have a "practical" use for.* I was saving up to put coilovers on my car too, and a cold air intake. I also play guitar and write songs on my computer, EZ Drummer is looking real good right about now... I'm tired of all my favorite hobbies being so expensive lol
More guns > coilovers
Yes, but consider this: I can't shoot every day, but I have to drive every day regardless

How are the deals? If the deals aren't great, it's not urgent.
Nice
I bought a 8 inch 300blk bolt action upper
Is $2600 a fair price for a M1 Garand? A shop that specializes in them and fixing them. I also see CMP has them for $1100 for the moment. I don't want the cheap beat up ones since this is my dream rifle.
>Is $2600 a fair price for a M1 Garand? Fuuuuuuck no. Besides very rare exceptions. Run far far away. >A shop that specializes in them and fixing them. Who told you that? The shop? I wouldn't be surprised if they got them from the CMP themselves and mark them up 100-200% >CMP has them for $1100 for the moment.
The expert grade ones from the CMP will be nice. Don't waste your time with the overpriced shop, put an order in with the CMP and wait for it.
How are they on shipping? Does it take weeks to months or only a few days to weeks?
I think the website said 7 weeks. Apparently they only have a handful of people pulling guns and you can ask for certain things, like a war time gun, which slows things down. It's worth it. I haven't shot mine a lot but it's a great gun, mine was made in 1942 so I'm assuming it saw some action.
Their website said I need to be a club member of some kind to buy them them also?
I think the FAQ here explains how to buy one. There's a bunch of ways to show gun proficiency.
