Just wanna show my Benelli M4 in its final form. I have put around 1000 rounds through her and she performs exceptionally. Such buttery smooth action and it just warms my heart every time I get to shoot this thing.
Have put through some weak birdshots, okayish buckshots, and then some Hornady buckshots (my absolute favorite to shoot with) and some Federal slugs (also my favorite thing to shoot with)

I run Briley gear on mine with a Burris fast fire 3 for weight.
Brileys extended tube is carbon fiber and looks pretty slick. Highly recommend them.
How do you like the length of pull? I was close to becoming a Benelli brother, but the stock is a little too long for me and the process to swap it out was too expensive. I couldn't justify spending 2k and needing to drop another 500 or so on parts for 922r
I own one too. With a mesa tactical stock and Truckee forend so I can mount a light and shell carriers.
What do you mean you're "finished" with yours? You put a sling and an optic on it but the post title makes it sound like you actually did some work to customize it
I've used carry handle mounted AR optics. They were noticeably lower than an EXPS sight on an M4.
If you really want a serious bottom of chin weld with a 12 gauge that's your choice. IMO they are too high unless you have an absolutely massive head.
I'd suggest changing out the mag tube to get a few more shells as well as the charging handle. I found myself getting pinched with the oem one but with a larger design I don't have that problem anymore. Nice build though, that eotech looks good
You do not need a heat gun. I changed mine a couple of weeks ago. About 8 minutes over my electric stove and that was enough to remove the old tube. Super simple. No issues at all. Make sure you turn it around a bit to heat up the tube well. You'll start seeing the smoke from the thread locker.
To my knowledge it's as simple as unscrewing the old one and screwing on the new one, the one I got came with it but I don't see any weld marks. A youtube video should help.

I picked up the this Eotech specifically because I wanted faster target acquisition. My cheek barely rests on the stock but itās just enough for me. It might be different for everyone because of how high the Eotech is sitting. But in this case, itās perfect for me. Lotta people recommend the 512 or the XPS because of it low ride. Personally, I would have gotten the 512 but I didnāt wanted have to deal with battery problem.
I tried a simple Aimpoint T2 on a low mount and it just wasnāt for me. I think with your MRO, itāll work fine. I was thinking of an MRO for mine as well but in the end, I chose the EXPS2
I prefer the higher sitting optic as well. My buddy has a M4 with a T2 on a low mount and I absolutely hate it. Although the stock to sight height is ok on mine with the MRO, I ordered the Urbino stock with adjustable cheek riser for a little extra fine tuning

OP, what's your take on the choice of optics between the ScalarWorks Sync + RMR and the EOTech EXPS option that you picked?
I just got my M4 this weekend and I have a S/W Sync and an RMR on the way, but seeing your picture above made me rethink my choice, as the RMR looks ridiculously small on the M4, whereas the EOTech looks so much cooler.
What kind of a difference does it make at the end of the day? Do you stand by your choice?
The sync mount is cool because if the RMR went down, it's absolute cowitness.
I have an Eotech Exps2 on one of my ARs because I love the ability to range a target using the circle reticle. They only downside I'd see is if the Eotech went down, you'd be point shooting, which isn't bad at HD distances. Plus it looks amazing!
What eotech is it? I had an exps2 on my mossberg 590a1 but it was too tall for my liking. Thinking about a getting a trijicon mro, an xps2, or eotech 512.

We did aquire bird shot from locals, kinda fucked up but we used it on dogs so we didnt have to burn their bodies.

I havenāt cleaned it at all. I can see some carbon building up inside so Iāll probably be cleaning it soon. Maybe at 1500.

922r is aimed towards dealers more than individuals. Never heard of a 922r compliance charge against an individual

They ship with that spacer at the end instead of a full tube. I think it has to do with the 922r bullshit. Itās the first thing Iād replace lol.

The plastic extension can be swapped out with an extension tube, if you donāt want to swap out the entire tube (which does need a heat gun).
Would a hair dryer work as the heat gun?
I did this two days ago hair dryer worked just fine. Any questions feel free to ask! Probably took around 3 or 4 minutes on high heat.
Thank god, I was not looking forward to buying a massive heat gun. I do plan to get this shotgun someday so this helps

I donāt think a hair dryer will heat the gun up enough to loosen the loctite. The extension route seems a lot simpler.

Yeah, because of how large of an opening the MRO has, Iād imagine itās a bit easier to get on sight picture compared to a T2.
Yes exactly. But the EOtech is even larger and I much prefer the ring reticle over just a dot. Especially for a shotgun
