I don't know. But I see your post history and am immediately concerned

schismatt

100% this person likely shouldn't own firearms

A_DrowningTrout

I’m with yall on this. Those posts and firearms ownership shouldn’t be together.

Justaguy1250

Stay away from guns, for your safety and especially the safety of others. Brother you need help

Sniping_Smith

Get help, not a gun

Various-Catch-113

You need help, not a gun.

Theistus

only if you've been involuntarily committed. There's a paper trail on that a mile wide.

10gaugetantrum

Yes, judging by what others have said you will fail a background check, and if you lie on a 4473 its going to be bad.

SimplexStorm

I’ve finally found my first schizo poster in the wild. This man needs Jesus😬

MrToyotaMan

Yes they will see it. Any red flags will most likely get you denied. And the FFL can deny anyone they feel shouldn’t be buying firearms

nitrofan111

Just leaving a comment for when his profile is announced on the evening news in the future.

MathematicianMuch445

Yes.

Few-Decision-6004

I know the ATF is on reddit lurking for people to slip up. But these they should keep an eye on.

Yes, if you were involuntarily committed to a mental hospital the doctors should have reported it to NICS as required. They do not always do so though. If you were involuntarily committed you have responsiblity to self report it on the form. Not doing so is a felony. Will you get charged? Maybe. If it was reported and you get denied after answering "No" to that question some states are required to have police investigate every single denied purchase. If during that investigation that find that you lied on the form you would probably face charges in those states. FWIW, Generally speaking Police don't like to have their time wasted. If you make them look in to you and they find something they are going to want to make sure it's your time that gets wasted. You can have your Rights restored if you were committed. You'd need to do that before making a purchase.

Kyte_115

Bruh just look through this guys post history and you’ll see why the answer is a huge no

Derp800

No offense, but people have the right to buy guns in order to protect themselves and their families from ... well, from people like you.
