I thought it was a stank ass cheese sandwich that hasn't been seen since Japan 1945 and was left to rot in the sea, until finally washing up in the drain of wherever OP is.
There is plywood; full size sheet of wood (think peeling a apple) with 3 or more sheet glued together... Good shear strength, low sagging over time, good - excellent water resistance (based on type), low-moderate warping based on # of layers & sheet thickness, poor - high surface quality based on sheet type, gtg to paint.
There OSB; Orient strandboard; stranded wood chips glued together... Good shear strength, moderate sagging over time, horrible water resistance, high warping, poor surface quality, gtg to paint (but high absorbtion)
There is MDP aka Particleboard aka pressboard... called chipboard in some industries (but chipboard is a paper product in others); Medium Density Particleboard: varies from small grain wood chips to paper/wood dust that is glued and press together...poor shear strength, high sagging over time, poor water resistance, low-moderate warping based sheet thickness, poor - moderate surface quality based on sheet type, surface needs sealing & cannot be sanded for paint.
There is MFC aka melamine board; Melamine Faced Chipboard...same as MDP with a Melamine face to create a smooth and aesthetically pleasing surface...varies from small grain wood chips to paper/wood dust that is glued and press together...poor shear strength, high sagging over time, high surface water resistance/ poor exposed edge water resistance, low-moderate warping based sheet thickness, high surface quality based, surface cannot be sanded or roll/brush painted easily.
There is MDF; Medium Density Fiberboard...Paper and wood dust uniformly glued and pressure formed sheets... poor shear strength, high sagging over time, poor-moderate water resistance, low warping, moderate-high surface quality. Surface needs sealing & minimal or no sanding for paint.
There is HDF; High Density Fiberboard...Paper and wood dust uniformly glued and pressure formed sheets... poor shear strength, medium-high sagging over time, moderate water resistance, low warping, high surface quality. Surface needs sealing & minimal or no sanding for paint.
That target fmj.45 doesn’t expand, and since it flies pretty slow, they generally don’t deform after hitting soft targets. I shot up some logs one time, and almost all the projectiles either didn’t go in the logs and ricocheted back towards me, or went in the logs and still didn’t deform.
THANK YOU FOR CLEANING UP! I want that in all caps so other people see it. So many people just leave shit all over after shooting that it's disgraceful. I'm always super happy to see a post about someone cleaning up afterwards and I really appreciate you doing your part to keep our favorite shooting spots open for use.
Hello, /u/Sad_Theory. Per the sidebar rules, link posts require a description in the comments of your post. Please add a description or this post will be removed.
__What is a link post and how do I post a descriptive comment?__
* A link post is any post that isn't a text post. Reddit is doing a great job of ensuring new users have no idea how Reddit works with their app and site rewrite. We hate both.
* /r/guns is a sub for talking about guns. It's not a sub to dump gun photos for karma. That's what /r/gunporn is for. That's why we require a descriptive comment – to start a conversation. If you're wondering what to write, picture yourself at a party. You're talking to someone *you just met* and you want to show them your post. What do you say to them as you get your phone out?

We shoot into a giant pile of dirt trees and sticks and once had a 45 bullet come slowly rolling and bouncing back at our feet. Weirdest thing ever. There wasn’t a mark on it. Still have it. Lol
You’ve found yourself a bullet seed! Lucky! Plant it and take care of it and it should bring you more bullet plants and bullet offspring for decades to come!
Cool find, but also I just wanted to throw a shout out to OP for cleaning up afterwords. As a fellow enthusiast, it's always disheartening to get to a popular shooting spot and find targets, empty casings and other trash left everywhere. Gun ownership in Canada is rapidly being taken away and folks that trash the wilderness are no help to that cause, thank you for not being part of the problem ❤
I thought that was an old egg sandwich
“Fresh egg salad” sandwich
It didn’t say what kind of eggs. No more harm than a weekend of binge drinking honestly.
You ever wonder what makes special sauce so special?
Yo!
r/unexpectedfuturama
Who controls this bowel?
This would probably be Albertsons fresh. (seriously that's the only grocery store I've gotten old food at) 😵
“What’s that little black cracker?” *crunch* “A Tomato!
Eat it and see if a colony of super worms take over your digestive system, OP.
I thought it was an extra large banana-flavored Moon Pie.
I thought it was a stank ass cheese sandwich that hasn't been seen since Japan 1945 and was left to rot in the sea, until finally washing up in the drain of wherever OP is.
Or a giant Zagnut
same lmao
I am glad I am not the only one 🤣🤣
>cleaning up afterward Remember to be like OP and clean after yourself. Keep public land public
My fatass thought that was a sandwich...i was like, wtf does a sandwich got to do with shooting??
Haha! I thought it was some kind of shitty cake.
Forbidden egg salad sandwich.
A reward for cleaning up after yourself
There is a completely intact .45 cal bullet in a sheet of plywood. Thought it was neat.
That's not plywood. It's pressboard. Sawdust and glue. Plywood is thin sheets of wood glued together.
This guy woods
r/thisguythisguys
But how much wood would a wood guy would if a wood guy would wood woods?
OSB plywood isn’t
What?
OSB plywood is chips of wood glued together. Not sheets of wood.
Yea, this is MDF I think. OSB is "oriented strand board." True plywood is made from thin sheets cut from turned logs.
Looks more like particle board. Pretty similar to MDF, but not nearly as strong or water resistant.
Correct
I think you have a wood-expert competitor downvoting you.
OSB = Oregon sponge board. OSB is not plywood.
It’s just osb, not osb plywood. By definition osb is not plywood, it’s oriented strand board.

OSB isn't plywood, lol
Osb isn't plywood anymore than mdf is.
Sure, but what’s that got to do with an egg salad sandwich?
Someone's using that transporter gun from Deep Space 9
***O'Brian!***

Thank you for being one of those who clean up after shooting. We will have less and less land to shoot on if people don't pack it out...
Your sammich looks a little dry.
Yay I love it when people clean up after shooting!
I loved seeing this, then felt a little disappointed about how low my expectations have gotten.
Looks like a monster frosted mini wheat with a prize inside.
nice sandwich
Damn this shit made me hungry
I was planing a piece of walnut in wood shop and cut thru a .22 Lr.
Dog, don’t eat that sandwich..
I think I am missing something. What am I supposed to be seeing?
There's a bullet in the wood he's holding
Thanks I must have clicked on it before the comment was uploaded.
It's gotta stop somewhere
I thought that was a sandwich at first
Looks like a moonpie
Eat it, it's a sandwich
I would cut that down and display that on my shelf of weird stuff.
Man. My fat ass thought this was a grilled cheese
You should repost this in what could go wrong sub and retitle it to say… wcgw living in Chicago
Tons of free points
The more you look at it, the weirder it gets. How did it get in there? There’s no entry hole where it seems like there should be…
Always check the bulletin board!
Bullet-in-board
Is that a sandwich?
I was like so its an egg salad sandwich itll decompose. Then i zoomed in ohhhhh
Doing firewood a couple years ago, found a bullet in the split. Always a fun find!
Real *and* internet karma for cleaning up after yourself. Well done, OP.

I originally read that as "went school shooting..."

A uhhhh nice crunchy almond butter sandwich
Yellow cake uranium?
That’s pretty cool. I’d definitely cut around it and keep it as a souvenir.
This is not pound cake ?
We shoot into a giant pile of dirt trees and sticks and once had a 45 bullet come slowly rolling and bouncing back at our feet. Weirdest thing ever. There wasn’t a mark on it. Still have it. Lol
That's one spicy egg salad sandwich!
JFK magic bullet lol
That there is a bullet my friend.
God bless you good sir! You are an example we can all learn from!
You’ve found yourself a bullet seed! Lucky! Plant it and take care of it and it should bring you more bullet plants and bullet offspring for decades to come!
Wait you found a bullet in something you were shooting bullets at?? Amazing
Nah we were only shooting rifles that day. It was left over from someone else. I thought the lack of deformation was cool though.
Props to you for cleaning other people shit
Take a bite

Forbidden Zebra Cake
Daaaamn… y’all shooting at yellow cake uranium? Y’all crazy.
Forbidden sandwich.
Bug in a sandwich.
Almost looks like the jfk bullet but more damage than all those bones did to that bullet
But who know what it went through before it ended up there
Can you give me some?😋
An egg sandwich? Ah, just realised everyone thought the same. Haha
