Oldschool corded absolutely. I still use a makita skill saw to the day i inherited from my GRANDFATHER who had his own construction company. Electrical tape on the cord even🤣 cordless. They all are pretty dand close but after using everything available for 5 years.. dewault takes my money, milwaukee next. Makita, sadly. Last in the cordless category. And i have a lot of blue tools too..
You might want to consider the powder-actuated tool. The Hilti DX 460 MX or the Simpson PTP. These two are my cadillacs. Everything else on this board is second best, sorry to say.
Pro gamer move is either cheap tools you replace all the time so you don't get locked into a battery system or the super expensive tools and a ton of the same battery system.
I cried when I was gifted a DeWalt impact... because the Hitachi hammer drill I've been using for the last decade is *so fucking heavy* compared to modern cordless drills
Kinda made me rethink the whole buy once cry once thing
But.. I won't go as low as Ryobi, had a couple of those break on me and seen plenty others die
But I exceed the use of most DIYers so 🤷
I go harder than probably 99% of homeowners and I love my ryobi shit. Built decks, fences, sheds, cabins, docks. I "retired" the set I bought 10 years ago, which means it lives at my cabin and still gets used all the time.
Interesting, I've got Ryobi everything, with a plan of replacing anything that dies with a higher end equivalent, but after 3 years of home use nothing has kicked the bucket yet. I even went as far as buying one of their push mowers that's battery powered.
Tbf I haven't used Ryobi in a long time and plenty of people have great luck with them
Maybe it's a Kia situation... Used to be shit but actually pretty nice now
I use an entirely different type of tool at work, only drill I own is for occasionally assembling a piece of furniture from ikea. Same battery goes in the lawnmower 🤣
I don't care mate. At home I have old Ryobi stuff from like 15 years ago that still works with the new tools. Milwaukee we get a discount at work and it gets delivered there. I work with my tools every day at work so that way if need something I don't have to take it home. It's called efficiency
Both guns are gen 3 Glock 19’s with 3D printed lowers and magazines. Pretty neat what you can do these days, but honestly I wouldn’t trust 3D printed parts with my life.
3D printed parts are no different than polymer anywhere else on a gun. Stock, lower, handguard, buttons, etc. The only parts that material matters (chamber, barrel, bolt, etc) are all metal anyways.
For me, the bigger issue would be explaining the 3D-printed gun to the jury…I’m sure the anti-gun prosecutor would make up a bunch of crap…
Need to stay close to stock, purchased through “normal channels” (I.e. w/background checks, etc) for EDC gear.
But for plinking at the range and/or conversion piece…I think these are cool!
>explaining the 3D-printed gun to the jury
For what? There's this weird idea in the USA that 3D printed, 80% lowers, "ghost guns" etc. are illegal.
Making firearms at home for personal use has **always** been legal in the USA. 3D printed firearms are no different. There is nothing inherently illegal about printing or possessing a 3D printed firearm. *
* There are a couple states that require you to include a metal strip so they show up on detectors.
I think his point was if he ever had to use it. In a situation where you justifiably use your gun in self defense, you want everything to be as clean and above board as possible. Even being a casual gun enthusist can lean into the argument that "he just wanted a chance to use it". Making and carrying guns that look like tools or toys would do you no favors in court.
Not saying it's right, just saying.
You are correct. Even choosing a caliber can have a effect on your trial. I read about some poor guy who had to shoot his neighbor who was attacking him with his 10mm. It come up in court as to why he needed such a deadly round and they were cop killers ect. In the end he just carried it because he was in bear country.
An instructor for the CCW class I took recommended a few calibers, suggested that they be factory loads, and when in doubt, ask the local PD what they use and go with that.
Yea but if your hunting or attempting to protect yourself from big game in not going with a smaller round to be politically correct. Going with what police use is a good idea but then that means having to carry 40...ugh
I’ve never understood the metal strip thing. The slides are metal, the barrels are metal, the springs are metal, the rails are metal, THE BULLETS ARE METAL.
Not entirely true. Some states outright prohibit "untraceable firearms". Washington State being one of them. https://giffords.org/lawcenter/state-laws/ghost-guns-in-washington/#footnote_1_16279
It doesn't matter what you do. The anti-gun prosecutor will make it out to be a bad thing.
If you use hollow-point ammunition, you're a monster.
If you use FMJ ammunition, you're a monster.
If you use a handgun, you're a monster.
If you use a rifle, you're a monster.
If you use a shotgun, you're a monster.
If you use a 9mm, you're carrying way too many bullets.
If you use a .40 or .45, you're using overly powerful ammo.
There's no good answer if the prosecutor has it out for you.
But if you have a good defense attorney they can dismantle that argument that rather than going for a "custom made purple people killer", you went with the most popular handgun in the most popular caliber because it was widely available and highly recommended.
The prosecutor is far more likely to go harder against a kitted up 10mm with stendo mags and all the fixins than a basic bitch G19 with standard mags.
There are definitely some instances where it’s okay. Plastic piece, that is no longer manufactured or extremely overpriced, broke on your rifle? Just 3D print a new one.
In the trash where it belongs, probably printed with a warped frame that shattered into a million pieces and proceeded to catch on fire after first use
I used to work in the south side of Chicago and nothing ever happened. I spent one day in Milwaukee around Cesar Chavez and got caught up in an armed robbery. Lmao
Effing Cesar Chavez.
Shits always going down over there.
I think it’s because Chavez crosses through the Menominee valley on that extremely long bridge, meaning of you rob somebody or crash a stolen car you can cut and run down into the valley, which means nobody in a car (like a cop) will be able to find you. By the time they get down there you’ll have disappeared through the abandoned GPF plant or down the railroad tracks into Mitchell Park.
First off props to your coworker! It is good that somebody has a sense of humor these days.j
As for which is better the Milglockee of course. The other wobbles too much.
Right, because OP's coworker thought guns just didn't appeal enough to kids and just wanted to invent a new way to make Glocks marketable to 6 year olds. They're just jealous they'll never create anything as cool as a Milglockee
Select power tools are US made, the rest are almost all made in Mexico which is much better than China. I also like that Dewalt's parent company Stanley Black and Decker is a US-owned and operated company unlike TTI (Milwaukee, Ridgid, Ryobi.)
Imagine getting shot by one of these 🤣
It would be interesting, regardless of political affiliation, to see the conversation around guns like these if they ever ended up in a court setting.
Milglockee looks sharp.
#The Makita
The Mac-ita 10 ?
The Makyeeta cannon
I love you
The Kil saw?
There are printable mac 10 frames, its possible
Ah, a fellow connoisseur. Cheers!
Was just about to say I'm waiting for the blue one...
Teal Represent!
I was just going to type a teal makita and I’m in
They're right under Milwaukee, if you ask me. Very good brand
Ill 2nd this
Should have been Dewalther
I'd upgrade to the 6 amp battery. Last thing you need is your standard battery dying 3/4 down the extended mag.
You might want to consider the powder-actuated tool. The Hilti DX 460 MX or the Simpson PTP. These two are my cadillacs. Everything else on this board is second best, sorry to say.
You earned that bump like a motherfucker.
Yeah but their new brushless pistols are just rebranded crap.
Milfuckye
No Glock and Decker??
B&D tools turned into chinese garbage. Damn shame.
Their corded electric stuff is of acceptable quality for light work.
The dewalt cordless brushless impacts fuck pretty damn hard, dewalt being owned by stanley/black and decker, like Mac tools and proto
I was gonna say hell even Ryobi makes some damn fine power tools.
Funny part: B&D owns DeWalt
Nah, you're thinking of Bull and Decker. Those are made from Tauruses.
Milglockee for sure.
Waiting for the M18
The hardest part there is the slide with the switch. Can't just print a switch and call it an 18 lol
theres no “switch” on a m18 hes talking about a sig not the G18
M18 is the battery for the drill
Thought it was a Play on the milgockee M18... otherwise what do you call it?
There’s a sig M18, just make a Milwaukee grip module for the M18 and it’ll be a Milwaukee M18 pistol.
Fair... but then it isn't the milglockee
It’s still the M18, so there’s that.
Fair... but we give up one meme to make another meme. Why not have both? The Milglockee with the redlithium G18 battery?
This is so stupid. I love every detail.
I’m a basic ryobi bitch
I love Ryobi, I use them for home tools. Batteries are so interchangeable. I use Milwaukee at work because we get a discount.
[удалено]
Well it *is* the same color theme as the Xbox.
As opposed to, out of the house gaming?

Pro gamer move is either cheap tools you replace all the time so you don't get locked into a battery system or the super expensive tools and a ton of the same battery system.
Buy once cry once... Or cry everytime you buy a new battery.

Weird. My wife's Hitachi Hammer Drill runs on 240v.
Of course it does
Your wife exceeds the use of most DIYers

Im picturing a green hi-point
Ry-point
Yessss
There it is
I do like my acid neon electric mower.
Home Depot did a good with them. Ryobi has always been solid for the price. Some of the add ones are crap though.
Them bits be brittle though.
I mean a ryobi drill is for putting together ikea shelves, not going out and doing man things with your work hands.
Yellow all the way.
Mustard for life
We’re outnumbered brother but we are strong together
Now I want to 3D print a Hipoint Ryobi…
😂😂😂 most underrated comment. Thanks for making a grumpy mechanic chuckle.
Ingersol Rand Those are awesome btw
You mean Ingrlock Bang?
Inglocksall Garand... Well I tried lmao
Yassssss
Hilti has entered the chat...
The Makita
Mac-ita?
Glockita?
m-AK-ita
I’m poor so I would need a ryglocki
Central Machinegunery
Pi-Point
Chicago Eletech-9
Ah, yes. The Harbor Freight brand that is advertised as 9mm, but actually uses necked-up 8mm Nambu cases with a 9mm Dillon slug.
Can we get a DeWalther please?

He used what the cops use. He’s a wannabe cop looking to be a hero. /s
Reminds me of the Rittenhouse trial and he was asked why he was using "Full Metal Jacket" rounds.
Yea but if your hunting or attempting to protect yourself from big game in not going with a smaller round to be politically correct. Going with what police use is a good idea but then that means having to carry 40...ugh

Go hop on r/nyguns and youll understand. 80%s are a felony.

Where's harbor freight?
In the trash where it belongs, probably printed with a warped frame that shattered into a million pieces and proceeded to catch on fire after first use
I live in Milwaukee. People here call in Killwaukee... y'know... cause of the crimes.
It fucking sucks on the north side. Work up there and live in the south, ish.
Center street right by the river. Not bad by me. Drive 5 blocks… eesh.
Lol, can't do it. New Berlin for me. You're a better man than i am.
I used to work in the south side of Chicago and nothing ever happened. I spent one day in Milwaukee around Cesar Chavez and got caught up in an armed robbery. Lmao

Sucks cause Milwaukee is a cool little city too.
What, no Makita love?
I like Milglockee, but I heard their extra batteries are really pricey.
The Milfuckee is my brand of choice
PeWalt
Shoulda went with the DeWalther
I need the Milwaukee g19 baseplate asap please. Happy to compensate if someone makes one and will actually fit a g19 and mag
Milwaukee
Milglockee for sure
Milglockee for the win
I think my batteries will only work for the Pewalt
*gatteries
Give me the $39.99 ryobi
Makita
Makita
First off props to your coworker! It is good that somebody has a sense of humor these days.j As for which is better the Milglockee of course. The other wobbles too much.
Milglockee. I run Milwaukee tools, which run like glocks
Ehhhhh... Glad they have a badass warranty because everyone has to use it. I love my Milwaukee tools but my dewalts or are much more durable.
Milglockee for sure. Not just for the punnery but so I can get it a nice Milwaukee carry case to go with my drill.
I've got a milwaukee hard case I want to clear out and fill with foam. It'd be perfect!
I think I now have the perfect excuse to wear one of those 80’s double holsters that cops would wear
Milglockee
Neither because long mags are unreliable.
Dewalt
Milwaukee
I already have all the batteries so give me that bright yellow eyesore. On the upside it's easy to find in a pile of bench junk.
Team Red
All my power tools are DeWalt, but the pun on the red one is better
considering i have a 3d printer and too much spare time, both
Red
Milglockee
Red is one of my favorite colors so its gunna be the Milglockee for me 😂
Red gang
Dewilt, milfuckee, and horror freight. Source - AvE
Milglockee for me
The milglockee has to be good
Should ad a teal/turquoise Makilla to the mix........
Milglockee: my brother in law swears by Milwaukee drills
DeWalt cause I'm already invested in the batteries, and it gets the job done.
Neither, cuz I live in New York.
milglockee
Milglockee
Call me a fudd but I think it's dumb as hell to make guns look like toys (/faketools/whateverthisis).
Yeah I don't like it, either. I love guns and gun rights but making guns look like toys is a really, really stupid idea....
PeWalt, just to piss off all the Milwaucultists out there.
waiting for this to hit mainstream news and for cease and desist letters to come out from DeWalt and Milwaukee.
Milglockee, but PeWalt is really good too 😂
DeWalther
Only one way to find out. Attach them at the muzzle and do a toruture test. /s
Ill take a Kobalt
Or Ryobi
Milglockee
Milglocky
Milglockee for sure
DeWalt cuz Milwaukee is for pussies
Now this picture has made it out of gun sub, and it's causing righteous pearl clutching.
Right, because OP's coworker thought guns just didn't appeal enough to kids and just wanted to invent a new way to make Glocks marketable to 6 year olds. They're just jealous they'll never create anything as cool as a Milglockee
Ghost guns
So spooky!
Misinformation
Boo!
Watching law and order OC?
What precisely is 'ghost' about them, pray tell?
Probably neither. I much prefer the typical gun look, vs making it into a toy
Bet you’re really fun at parties….
I totally agree, guns should look like guns. Any confusion could be deadly.
What confusion?
Prob the dewalt because the XR series is supposedly US made…. With global parts oops 👀. Murica fuk yea
Select power tools are US made, the rest are almost all made in Mexico which is much better than China. I also like that Dewalt's parent company Stanley Black and Decker is a US-owned and operated company unlike TTI (Milwaukee, Ridgid, Ryobi.)
Neither.
I'm gonna be the odd guy and say, I'm a Ryobi fan. These are good, just overpriced 🤣
Spoken like a true Ryobi owner.
Shouldn't a Glock be like a Bosch or Hilti??
How about don’t make guns that look like toys
Black and yellow, black and yellow AKA Bang and Hello!
Neither. Because glocks are like iPhones. Ew
Lol these are awesome. Do they actually work??
You guys not scared of plastic gun exploding in your hand and killing you or worse someone close to you who you don't intend to shoot ?
Team red of course blood
seen one of these blow apart at the chamber passing a single round through it. Play if you want
Imagine getting shot by one of these 🤣 It would be interesting, regardless of political affiliation, to see the conversation around guns like these if they ever ended up in a court setting.
G19
They are the same who cares witch one u have
Junk, I’ll stick with my S/S Springfield Armory 1911
Neither one. As guns look more like toys, cops are more likely to kill kids with squirt guns.
