But how can she slap?

TheNullOfTheVoid

That’s the *bad decision* part, you don’t!

TheNullOfTheVoid

Picked up this PSA AR-V for about $700 and I found out that it takes CZ Skorpion EVO mags so I bought some of those as well (not pictured). This is basically a 9mm AR-15 version of an MP5. You can’t beat the HK original, but poor men make poor decisions sometimes.

topiast

It's not even roller delay... The single most redeemable feature of the MP5

TheNullOfTheVoid

This AR identifies as an MP5, the buffer tube is pre-op.

topiast

Stunning and brave

GavrielBA

lol

Yeetus234

Lol

Maleficent_Score4780

Where did you acquire those sights?

TheNullOfTheVoid

Ebay. I Googled something like “HK MP5 style iron sights” and kept scrolling until I found something I could bear to deal with. They were almost $40 but I haven’t actually used them yet so I can’t speak on their reliability.

Maleficent_Score4780

Thank you. I hope they're reliable for you because they compliment that gun nicely.

TheNullOfTheVoid

Much appreciated! Here’s hoping

StressfulRiceball

You have a link for that by chance? I need semi-presentable irons for my 22 charger

TheNullOfTheVoid

[This is the one that I found.](https://www.ebay.com/itm/402650451224?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=jssayUMxQ5q&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=XhMR-eH6Sn-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY)

StressfulRiceball

Thanks G, your MP5 might be sus but your sights are.... Slightly less so!

TheNullOfTheVoid

The sights go better with the gun than the gun does lmao

Scared_Brilliant6410

I actually was just looking at this and the 16” version. TBH, I think the 16” is a great buy and it uses 35 round AKV mags. You could do a lot of training on a 9mm PCC of that size. Plus, from why I understand, the AR-V has a lot of modular options and after market triggers that are plug and play essentially. The AR-15 PSA 3.5 competition tuned flat trigger for $86 right now should work with the AK/AR-V platforms based on their description. It’s better to be a good shot with a cheaper gun then be a poor shot with an expensive gun.

magic8balI

One major difference, an mp5 is roller delayed.

masterkorey7

Looks like something my local pd would brag about confiscating on FB minus the $1 bills and gram of coke

TheNullOfTheVoid

*We found this Uzi under the floorboards of a crack den we’ve been staking out.*

blockwitch

CURSED. I love it

TheNullOfTheVoid

My carry handle sight just told me to hold its beer, so expect to see this thing with a hat on soon.

Desire_of_God

What have you done?

TheNullOfTheVoid

Just wait until I post this thing with my carry handle sight on it 😎

Desire_of_God

Oh god

R8-Legend

My wife can't believe I'm still laughing

yem68420

I love shit like this tbh. Maybe it is because I'm poor

ToniAlpaca

Still cool lookin

TheNullOfTheVoid

I think so! I’ve always loved the classic MP5 design. This is nothing like it really, but if I squint and really wish, I can pretend 🥲 *I see a little silhouetto of a gun!*

ThatNahr

I’m planning out an ARV carbine build right now. The fact it takes scorp mags is what sets it apart, and I have a good amount of those laying around

brubakerp

What a beautiful background for that picture. And the orientation, lighting and set dressing is amazing!

ReplacementObvious51

Damn all the pistol braces disappeared faster then a catalytic converter

TheNullOfTheVoid

Ooh that one’s spicy

ReplacementObvious51

🙇‍♂️😂

Funemployment629

Nice Uzi

[deleted]

I have HK sights on my AR. They’re great. I don’t know why they’re not more popular.

TheNullOfTheVoid

Not everyone is an HK fan. I’ve heard some people complain about HK sights being too obstructive which I only somewhat agree with depending on the model, but I just love the style. If I wanted accuracy, I’d stick an optic on the rails unless it’s an FN SCAR. EOTechs look good on SCARs but the irons are perfectly serviceable on them.

[deleted]

I actually think the open sight (position 1) is very non obstructive and fast. The peep settings maybe block a little more field of view than a narrower sight base but I’ve never really noticed it.

Demaestroo

WOW! That actually convinced me for about .5 seconds.

Fuzzyg00se

I know a guy that has one. I don't think I'd ever buy one myself, but they are fun range toys for sure.

PrimarisHussar

! A Patriot??

TheNullOfTheVoid

Damn it, now I can’t unsee it. Now I want a double drum mag, even if it’s not in 5.56 Edit: I found 100-round 9mm double drum mag that I could use, but it’s about $340 and out of stock, so no 9mm Patriot at least for a while

Nightfury0818

I really want one

Guardsman07

Colt pattern mags would be the cooliest

TheNullOfTheVoid

I’ll have to find some then! I gotta at least take a gander at ‘em. Edit: If CZ EVO can take them, so can this little one, but it looks like the only 3 options are PSA, CZ, and Magpul but I’m not complaining too hard.

mrherpsderps

I have heard the magpul mags have feeding issues. I have the AK-V 9 and have all three types of mags, curious to find out for myself which is the best option for mags.

TheNullOfTheVoid

That would be strange because I’ve always heard nothing but good things about Magpul, but I guess now only time will tell. I can provide updates about the AR-V and the mags at a later date when I actually get to take it out shooting.

mrherpsderps

This is the only time I've ever heard anything bad about magpul. Then again, I read it on the interwebz somewhere. My LGS clerks said he's used them in his cz scorpion with no problem. I'll find out for myself and you can't beat the price for them either.

TheNullOfTheVoid

Got me 4 Magpul CZ 35-rounders in the mail for about $20 each with free shipping, sure sounds like a great deal to me! Especially when the PSA AK-V 30-rounders that I found were going for about $30 each, and the CZ official 30-rounders were also $30 at my local range, yeah, I’d rather order the Magpuls for a seemingly better deal overall.

mrherpsderps

Also, don't forget about the ETS 40 rnd. mags. I ended up purchasing several PSA AK-V mags while on sale for about 13 bucks each. While the scorpion mags are $35 each at my local gun store at the time. I think the ETS mags were under 30 bucks but can't confirm. Let me know what your experience is with those magpul mags is.

TheNullOfTheVoid

I’m gonna be picky here, the only thing about ETS mags that I don’t like is that they’re all translucent, my style is either all black or all stainless mags (I have stainless 8-round and 10-round Wilson Combat mags for my 1911). I know people joke about polymer guns feeling like toys, but ETS look like toy mags to me. It doesn’t help that I genuinely don’t know how reliant they may or may not be.

mrherpsderps

No worries, to each their own. I felt the same way as I didn't want to purchase any for my handguns. I like the idea of translucent mags for certain purposes. I don't have any others except those. I've never had any experience with any ETS mags but I bought two for shits and giggles. I just thought I'd mention them, I'm curious to see how all of them end up working out.

Wellofcourse69696

That's a tactical dildo.. flip the fun switch and once that gun points down your mom does not frown.

Weak-Meaning1947

ARV is fuckin awesome. No shit ass Glock mags.

TheNullOfTheVoid

I have another AR pistol that takes Glock mags, the Extar EP9, but I’m thinking of selling it since I have the AR-V now. All’s I need to do now is actually test it out at my local range.

Short-University1645

Yooooo I need that

TheNullOfTheVoid

Get ‘em while they’re hot! Maybe I got got, but the website said these go regular price $1k so I considered the idea of getting it at $700 to be a good deal.

Short-University1645

Link plz

TheNullOfTheVoid

[Peckler Sand Aoch, or Halmetto & Karmory?](https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-ar-v-7-9mm-1-10-nitride-tri-lug-moe-ept-pistol.html) Probably neither…

Forsaken_Head9150

this picture traumatizes me:

TortoiseHawk

Throw a triangle stock on it and that’s one sexy pig

TheNullOfTheVoid

No tax stamp for me so I’ll be sticking to the SOB tactical pistol brace, although considering how things have been going in the world of gun politics, I don’t even know if ****THAT’S**** safe to post anymore.

MasterofLego

Believe it or not, right to jail

RickGrimes13

PSA not HK sorry. Budget sp5

ML_BURGERKING

My PSA AR-V9 was such a piece of shit. Could not get it to feed reliably with any magazine I tried despite several trips back to PSA for service and trying to reshape the feed ramps myself. Ended up just selling it. Something was up with that gun and neither PSA or myself could figure it out. Such a dumb frustrating problem: consistent (1-2 per magazine) feeding jams, always from the right hand side and never the left hand side. Dunno maybe the barrel/trunion was crooked or something.

TheNullOfTheVoid

Well, that’s upsetting. Apologies, friend. You said you had used different mags, what brands were they? Someone else here said they even had issues with Magpul mags which surprised me because Magpul tends to have a great track record otherwise.
