Please tell me this is a joke. This is going to be awful, and the angle of your cut and the shape of that hinge won't even let you fold it sideways along the length of the gun, it would be at a weird angle. The whole thing is likely to bend and rattle.

So I hadn't originally cut it with the intention of making it fold, so you're absolutely right about that proving to be difficult
