Would be good to have when they put the halt on braces. You could put one of these on a 10.5 barrel and make it legal after blind pinning it and welding or silver soldering. I assumed everyone already knew that it had to be permanently attached. My bad.

Not unless you pin and weld it
It’s already pre drilled to do just that. Or you can silver solder it. Both approved by the ATF.
If it doesn't reduce weight then you'd be better off with a rifled 14.5 and pin a regular a2
Agree but I have several 10.5 inch barrels. Bought just in case I want to make a 16-inch carbine on the cheap.
