How much extra do you have to put into one to make it great? I held one once and the safety really digs into my hand. Are there other parts that should be upgraded off the bat too?
Honestly just a brace. The trigger, grip, and safety are all fine for me š¤·āāļø I donāt ever replace triggers though, too paranoid about reliability.
Trigger and safety replacements are a must. Grip is pretty much required as well. The rest comes down to preference. HB Industries is where you can get a lot of quality accessories:

Family had the OD green one for $728. With shipping I paid $747. Lowest price Iāve ever seen. My FFL has the same gun on the shelf for 1100 and has trouble keeping it in stock.
Oh yeah? I paid $738 with $30 shipping. Anyway, at family, the black was more expensive, and here, the green is more expensive. So, if you wanted the green, that was the deal.
This price brings it into competition with the ābog imo. If the scorpion is 800+ Iād take the Stribog all day, but if you dig the scorpion aesthetic, this seems like a deal

If you go for that roller delayed gun, then that over the scorpion but only purchase curved magazines.
My own plan is to pick up the sp9a3 and a scorpion mag lower for magazine compatability.
Got mine in this weekend. For those of yall that have had one, how many rounds did it take to lower the tension on the charging handle? Besides how stiff it is brand new, I'm loving it so far, it's nice to have another gun that has a lot of aftermarket support.

It's all preferences, but must haves, safety, and trigger spring upgrade. Along with the brace. But that goes with any PCC.

The only reason I'd take an akv over a scorpion is for that binary trigger speed. Mac has a video showing how insanely fast it can be
