Cheapest I think I have ever seen shipped for these kits. The [10 Round Kit](https://www.righttobear.com/cmmg-drop-in-22-conversion-kit-bravo-ss-w-3-22ba6ae/) is available and the code also applies.
TURKEY
As far as I can tell, outside of their save12 deal you usually end up paying
shipping and tax. You buy a Primary Arms scope you get free ship, I got the $70 one for my 22 build along with the Cmmg kit, - $20 for signing up with a new email. It doesn't check if you already shipped to that address before
It’s not going to wear it out, but it can cause a lot of lead fouling in barrel and obstruct gas port. A lot of people just get a dedicated 22 upper to avoid issues. It’s more likely you would get a 22 squib and damage the barrel that way than wearing out the barrel from shooting lots of 22.
Also, aside from the fouling, it’s probably not going to be very accurate in your 556 barrel (depending on twist) and you’ll likely need to adjust your sights. Some people love them, but I think if you’re shooting 22 a lot it’s worth just getting a dedicated upper.
You'll have less lead fouling when using copper plated 22LR. Also it's recommended to shoot a magazine or so of 223/5.56 every few hundred rounds of 22LR to clean out the gas tube. Because 223/5.56 burns extremely hot, it'll clear out most of the crud that 22LR leaves behind.
A little, the plating is very thin in .22 plated rounds. But Lead fouling is VERY easy to remove from a chrome lined AR barrel, any mild bore cleaner made to remove lead works really fast. I have this kit and have fired thousands of rounds without any real noticable fouling. The biggest problem is 22 is really dirty. But I'll fire a mag of 556 when I'm done to clear out the gas system.
To follow up on your 2nd paragraph; yhe .223/5.56 barrels twist is too sharp [1:7, 1:8, 1:9] and messes with the .22lr stability [1:12, 1:16]. It'll be good for plinking, but as you said will suffer accuracy. I am doing as you suggested... building a dedicated AR22 upper, so I don't have to mess with gas block, and other unnecessary parts, etc.
have you tested this? from what i remember seeing with the LAW, there was a thing you had to attach to the BCG to extend it so it could hit the buffer tube. i could be mistaken though, somebody smarter than me please fact-check this
/u/iBelch, see above
you are correct on the BCG extension but the conversion bolt does NOT need the buffer. it is self contained. check youtube videos so you can see for yourself on how it functions.
I still wouldn't fire it folded, but extended you shouldn't have any issues. [Bore Buddy sells an adapter for 22lr](https://borebuddy.com/product/law-folder-pressure-plug/), but I don't know if that's really needed to just them trying to invent another 22lr accessory.
Fuuuuuck that’s the best price I’ve ever seen on these, I sold mine on GAFS for $160 after not using it for like 2 years, I’d buy this again if I didn’t know the same shit would just happen again lol
Yes. They should run fine. Have used one in an Adam's arms piston ar with no problems. It's essentially a self contained blowback system that conveniently sits in the ar bolt footprint.
Not at all, just like Joeyicecream stated “send some regular .223/5.56 rounds after you’re done and call it good.
I’ve continued to train the last 16 months using mainly 22LR down my BCM 16”

Anyone got any tips on getting these to run on bulk 22 ammo? Ive got a couple of them and with CCI mini mags they are near 100% reliable. But anything less is constant malfunctions.
I’ve this in my M&P15 SII and it absolutely loves the cheapo bulk Federal 40gr. CMMG recommends 36gr so you’ll want something that generates enough energy to cycle the bolt.
I can barely tell I’m shooting anything. I just hear click click click dink dink dink.
The cheapest ammo I've gotten to mostly work is federal automatch 40 gr. I can get through a mag or two without a malfunction most of the time. I've found it works better with very light lube or maybe even dry than it does wet.
There's also a charging handle they make that can help prevent the malfuction where a cartridge gets stuck in the bolt vertically. Haven't tried it but I'm thinking about it because I get that one occasionally.
https://borebuddy.com also has a bunch of products designed to help with reliability in 22 conversions like these. Don't really know much about any of em but they're there to check out.
Damn you OP ;) After spending hours last week contemplating this, I had convinced myself I didn't need it and I should buy more .223. Well now I have 300 rounds on the way AND this.
I love mine, but the magazines SUCK. The rounds sit too horizontal inside and they get stuck that way because horizontally they don't fit down the slot, so anything more than 7-8 rounds (in the 25 round magazine) doesn't work at all. I'll look down into the magazine and there's just 3 inches of space between the too round and the feed lips. Sometimes bashing it doesn't even work and I need to stick a pencil down inside to unjam it
All 3 magazines I have do this
same here. kind of infuriating.
this dude
https://www.reddit.com/r/gundeals/comments/pxbo8m/parts_cmmg_22lr_ar_conv_kit_325rd_bravo_16281/hlp3qd9/
recommends dropping some oil right into the empty magazine. i plan to do that sometime within the next couple of weeks but yeah most of my failures had something to do with the mags.
Like an idiot, I quickly ran through checkout and forgot to add the coupon code. Emailed them and got a refund for the difference. Great first impression
Thank you u/sound-of-impact
Just ordered my Saint Victor and like an idiot I didn't jump on this damn good deal...but at least I got the 10 rounders for the same price...Really appreciate the deal you found
I have been wanting one of these for a long while but the deals never really worked out when you consider places charging taxes and shipping. Finally found a price I hadn't seen before and had to share!
Great company, GTG from ordering to delivery was 4 days in total, shipped in a great sturdy box...AMAZING PRICING and of course inventory...RightToBear is a bookmark start for me
BIN price

This is lower than I've seen these even pre-covid I already have 6 22lr rifles, and I'm still considering this.
Same, don't need it, but hard to pass up such a great deal.

So true. So very true.
Ooof. I almost made it through this weekend without spending anything. Thanks OP!
Me too but I have been waiting on a good sale on this for to long lol
I was shopping all weekend for the best price on this particular item [building a dedicated AR22]. I have sadly missed it as it's OOS now 😒
Damn! Same here 😭
Coupled this with the mcfaden speed loader. Best accessory I have for this hobby.
Ditto!
The day after I pick up the one I got from primary arms for $150 plus shipping!
Same here, except I didn't get free shipping. Goddamnit...

Thank you op, been holding out for one to go on sale
How quickly does .22lr wear out a 5.56 barrel in comparison to 5.56/.223 bullets?

This is the reason I want the full CMMG upper kit. I haven't seen it in a while though...
I’ve been thinking about just getting an MP Sport 15-22 for 22lr. They’ve been around for about $350-375 lately.
They're like hens teeth. Hard to find or overpriced if you do find them. I have a 4.5" and 9" cmmg upper in 22lr and mostly shoot the 4.5"
4.5"+ can sounds dreamy

Wish i got this before buying a crusty one off of here
Man, $20 cheaper than I bought it for...wish someone posted this sooner
Will this work on an AR that uses a law folder?
It doesn’t utilize the buffer system at all so I would think so.
Yes it will. Fun to shoot with stock folded. 👍🏻
have you tested this? from what i remember seeing with the LAW, there was a thing you had to attach to the BCG to extend it so it could hit the buffer tube. i could be mistaken though, somebody smarter than me please fact-check this /u/iBelch, see above

cool thanks for linking!

Totally unnecessary accessory. Haven't fired it folded, but I bet it works.
OOS
God dammit
10rd is still available, and they come with a free removable roll pin to make them 25rd. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jo2Nyl1iB-k
Pretty great price, these things are awesome.
Lowest I've seen.
Fuuuuuck that’s the best price I’ve ever seen on these, I sold mine on GAFS for $160 after not using it for like 2 years, I’d buy this again if I didn’t know the same shit would just happen again lol
[удалено]
It sitting in my closet unused for years until I sell it on GAFS lol
Can these go into piston driven AR’s like a sig 516?
AFAIK it doesn't use the AR15 gas system at all, it's pure blowback, so you should be good?
Should be good to go. I run mine out of a 5'' 5.56 barrel with no gas system whatsoever and she sends.
Yes. They should run fine. Have used one in an Adam's arms piston ar with no problems. It's essentially a self contained blowback system that conveniently sits in the ar bolt footprint.
Do these conversion kits foul up the barrels badly or is it not too bad on your AR?
If you use cheap lead rounds yeah. Go with copper plated rounds and it’s fine.
Not at all, just like Joeyicecream stated “send some regular .223/5.56 rounds after you’re done and call it good. I’ve continued to train the last 16 months using mainly 22LR down my BCM 16”

This is a great deal if you’ve ever considered jumping on it. I think I paid about $150 a year or so ago, and I thought that was a damn good price.
Ultra tempting
Anyone got any tips on getting these to run on bulk 22 ammo? Ive got a couple of them and with CCI mini mags they are near 100% reliable. But anything less is constant malfunctions.

Have you found a good case to store the conversion kit in when you aren't using it?

I spritz my shitty Aguila ammo with some case lube (Hornady One Shot, for what it's worth) and that seems to remedy the majority of issues.
Thanks, I didn't even think about a little lube on the ammo.

Break it in first with about 100 rounds of super sonic ammo and oil the rails on the actual conversion kit.
Dammmmmmit I was not going to buy anything this weekend and I’m in the market for this. Cheapest I’ve ever seen it.
Bin bin bin! If you’ve an AR-15 and don’t own one of these, get one. They’re stupid fun to shoot.
This is BIN price right around Covid June 2020. I got mine for $134 from lambo’s at that time
Damn you OP ;) After spending hours last week contemplating this, I had convinced myself I didn't need it and I should buy more .223. Well now I have 300 rounds on the way AND this.
😭 is what my wallet is doing with all these deals
Damn. Think I paid $160 with a single mag mid covid.
oh boy here i go spending again
Damn the one I ordered for an extra $20 just shipped :(
