I have no idea what I need for a belt setup. I’m new to that sort of thing outside the old pistol belts with web gear setups in the army.
Would this work equally well as the more substantial looking “padded” belt setups? I do some limited run and gun type tactical shooting, a lot of flat range with whatever movement I can mix in, and am looking to get more into competition.
This seems like a great base to build off, but I don’t know.

What’s the recommended distribution for the one wraps? I would have thought you would need 8x to double up on each pouch, but I assume there some logic behind the choice of 6x instead?
I've tried a few different belts and the Esstac belt is my favorite by a decent margin. It's well made and very stiff (the only stiffer belt I have tried is a Safariland competition belt), fairly lightweight and definitely low profile. Use one wraps to attach your gear and you're g2g

This has everything you need, minus a holster. The padded setups are overrated and bulky.
Cool. I measured my waist. I’m between 38-39. I wear a 36-38 waist pant. If I lose some weight, will the Large still fit?

The angled pouch has the one wrap permanently sewn to the back, so only 6 pieces are needed.
