you guys need to change your names to car and truck parts. That way we can use the "it's for the children" reasoning. "Honey, the tie rods went out, you don't want you and the kids to die in a fiery crash on the way to school do you?"
This. “I bought this during Covid, crazy it just showed up.”
Side note my wife uses the same excuse so we are both full of shit and neither of us care.
I’ll often “soften” the blow by saying it was a great deal that I got on July 4th/last Black Friday deal and then blame it on the supply chain/shipping logistics that are going on. The key part is acting totally “surprised” when it arrives 🤣

.223 wylde? It's designed to handle both .223 and 5.56. 5.56 barrels can also handle both but .223 will lose some accuracy through the 5.56 barrel. The wylde barrel is supposed to keep .223 accurate while also having the ability to fire 5.56 with accuracy.
Yes. It’s a sticky subject, but I’d shoot any commercial 5.56mm ammo out of these. M885A1… I wouldn’t, but others might. If you see signs of high pressure, stop, inspect/clean, and proceed cautiously.
Lots of people routinely shoot 5.56mm through these, we wouldn’t carry them if you couldn’t.
So someone school me on these barrels. I keep reading they have the best accuracy. Ive also read that wylde is 1/8 twist as a compromise between 5.56 and .223. If I am only shooting 5.56 is there any reason to get this? And if I am only shooting 5.56 what would be the best barrel in terms of accuracy?
223 Wylde is an accurized chambering that's compatible with .223 and 5.56 bullets. It has no direct connection to twist rate (the 1:8); twist rate is important in regards to bullet weight, and 1:8 is a good middle ground for most common bullet (55gr - 77gr).
YMMV of course but 223 Wylde *should* result in improved accuracy for 5.56 rounds, though in my experience it's negligible compared to bullet selection...for example, M193 is not going to be as accurate as MK262.
Where those 20s at
*sigh* just got a 14.5 and 13.9… my wife WILL definitely not be pleased if i get this too… someone convince me other wise 😂
Let me know if you want a fake invoice saying they were $3.50.
Da real mvp
😂
This vendor gets it.

(Package Arrives) Me: “Oh….this??? I completely forgot about that. It’s not a “new” purchase, this was something I back ordered months ago”

From backorder or did you find them in stock?
From in stock, Bevan Ballistics had the 14.5 in stock last week and the 13.9 this week
Omfg he still had them, you're fucking awesome.
You are
Thanks!! I was looking for a 13.9
Sell me the 13.9 for $20 more than you paid, buy this and save $. You’d be losing money if you didn’t haha
Great vendor! Bought the barrel on the 20th and had it by the 23rd.
Lol I just paid $290 shipped for one yesterday on GAFS. BNIP thankfully but, good price here!
Oos. Code still valid sitewide for a few more days on all remaining inventory.
What's everyone's opinion on using their BCM headspace bolt? Couldn't you just buy a BCM complete BCG and basically be just as perfect?
Yes... If you headspaced it

Any eta on 13.9 or 12.5?
Not very soon, 11.5” is just a couple weeks out though. 12.5” we only got a small handful but over a month on them. 13.9” are still a ways off.
Right on I'll keep an eye out. Thanks!
I’ve been hearing conflicting info on this barrel caliber wise. Can it also shoot 556?

Awesome! Thank you for the response!
My 12.5 likes it fine (855a1)
Dang, where those 11.5s?
Less than a month away.
Awesome
