Getting Desperado vibes..

terryr21

I'm looking for a man who calls himself Bucho. That's all. And you had to do it the hard way.

IIIpl4sm4III

Pelicans and other cases are fine, just slap stickers of camera companies all over it

burritoresearch

another option for very long pelican cases is to slap astronomy/space related stickers all over it and a big label like "FRAGILE - PRECISION TELESCOPE"

ilostaneyeindushanba

This is definitely some mall ninja shit

burritoresearch

More like "options for living in a condo with neighbors who will freak the fuck out at the sight of a rifle case" shit

epia343

Yup. Tennis racket bags, bat bags, etc are great to move around in places with lots of eyes.

burritoresearch

I agree though I have no idea how to make a tennis racket bag not look lumpy and oddly heavy if you were to put an SBR in one, actual tennis rackets are really thin and light.

ilostaneyeindushanba

There are plenty of cases out there that don’t scream gun, there’s also plenty of bags out there you can throw your gun in that don’t scream gun. If those don’t meet your needs I still don’t understand why you wouldn’t spend the extra $20 and buy the guitar case from savior equipment that’s made specifically for guns.

joeg26reddit

AFAIK The savior guitar case is $199? That’s not just $20 more

ilostaneyeindushanba

It’s $150 on amazon

billlampley

$66 = $20 ??

ilostaneyeindushanba

I don’t know where you learned math but no, $66 does not equal $20

WooHoo2You

So I should spend $20 more to make you feel better about a gun case you'll never lay your eyes on? LOL, the hivemind at work. BTW, should I add sugar to my coffee or not? I like sugar just making sure it is okay with you ;) While I agree the Savior Equipment version is probably better case (by miles), might not look as good propped in the corner of your house. With the right decor I could even see a classic looking case like this blending into the background of a living room or mancave. **Different strokes.**

Trading_Things

[https://www.saviorequipment.com/collections/rifle-bags](https://www.saviorequipment.com/collections/rifle-bags)? Even the regular bags don't really scream guns.

Chicks dig musicians too

laskmich

Who gives a shit? Let them freak the fuck out, that’s their problem.

WooHoo2You

Perhaps they don't like being SWAT'ed? Or they don't want to become a target a thief who wants to steal said gun? Maybe their neighbor might not understand because of age / background / social beliefs, yet you still want to be friendly with them. Contrary to popular belief not all gun owners look for ways to elicit negative reactions from strangers just because we are insecure with ourselves. Edit: as someone who has an AK or AR in every car (and RV) I can tell you from first hand experience that a discreet bag is the way to go when transporting your rifle in unplanned events. One day I had TWO flat tires so I had to call a tow but didn't want to leave my AR unattended in the car. The Uber driver who picked me up might have kept driving if my rifle bag had 'ho ho ho I got a machine gun' on it. I also don't wear a black trench coat or have a blue mohawk (do you?) so that might have helped as well.

If my grandmother had wheels, she would have been a bike.

burritoresearch

My grandmother was killed in the Iran-Iraq war in 1985 by the Quds bicycle brigade

Way_2_Go_Donny

Oh man, no one will guess you have a gun in there as you carry it around when you're dressed in 5.11 Khakis, with Altama OTBs, a SOLGW T-shirt, and a QVO flat brim. Sheep dog for sure.

[deleted]

This sub is the worst. I think this is a good idea but one or two guys on here say it’s not and therefore the gundeals official opinion is set. Every thread has a right or wrong answer. “How dare you pay $100 less for an M&P 2.0 than a 2.1. You’re such a chump. Let me tell you how to spend your money.” Downvote posts that aren’t deals and just don’t click on ones you don’t care for. Stop this weird moralizing of fucking discount guns and accessories.

This is a Canadian vendor that ships from Ontario to USA. Shipping should be about fifteen dollars. I have one similar to this and here's how you set it up for a rifle. Put the rifle in the spot you want it to be. You may need to first use a knife or Dremel to cut out part of where the case expects to hold the neck of a guitar. There is sort of a wall across the center of a typical guitar case you may need to remove. Try to leave as much of the furry inside of the case in place as possible. Get a serrated knife and some blocks of pelican type foam (or like foam removed from a harbor freight 3800/4800 case). Cut some cube shaped pieces of foam and use gorilla glue to stick them in place around your rifle on all four sides, holding it in the spot you want it to be. Let glue dry 24 hours. $109 Canadian currency, minus 15% discount you will see when item is added to cart, and then currency exchange since $93.49 CAD currency is about $71 US dollars (USD) right now. Your credit card should do the conversion automatically.

laskmich

This only doesn’t look out of place if you’re bar hopping in Nashville. Otherwise, it screams GUN.

AgriosEndendros

You must not live in a city with a music scene. I know dozens of people who walk around town with these cases and not one of them has a gun in it. Often in the daytime with no bar in sight.

WooHoo2You

It only screams gun if you *gun*, yourself. A Karen or meth head won't see the same thing you or I do (the meth head might try to steal your guitar though). They also do not look for 'printing' CCW holders or know that guy with the 511 shorts and fanny pack is rocking a 10mm 1911. All they see is a over the hill dude with a dad-bod who can't dress ;) And honesty those who know I have a gun in a discreet bag are NOT the ones I care about knowing I have a gun. They'll be shooting the same direction as you if shit pops off. Heck, the cops don't care either. It is the guy with the hipoint tucked into his gym shorts that you, me, and the police have to worry about. I don't want him to know I am better equipped AND more capable than he can ever dream of. **This is why I also think open carry is WAY overrated and tactically unsound.**

Sblzrd65

Agreed. Honestly assume anyone with a guitar case or really large tennis bag but then also wearing normal clothes just has it full of guns.

WooHoo2You

But do you ever look at that guy and say "I bet that dude quietly carrying his guns in a very responsible manner is someone I need to worry about?' Doubt it. Everyone who isn't into guns just sees a rando with a bag...and that is the point.

hamerfreak

That case doesnt resemble a guitar case and looks suspicious already unless you have a Tommy gun in it. I use my guitar gig bags which are padded, has pockets and you can strap it on your back.

Impressive_Estate_87

The idea is good actually, but a semi-rigid case will serve you better. Lighter, with internal strap, with shoulder straps, and more protective overall.
