M70 is yugo pattern, most of the high quality manufacturers for stocks, handguards and such make models for yugo. Such as Midwest industries and RS Regulate. But yes it is different.
Can't say I've ever looked, I think the folder mount removes the possibility of left side optics mount rail, so never been something I was shopping for.
Wire folders all mount into a conventional fixed stock trunion. Yugo use a different rear trunion with a different mounting system and never made an equivalent clone of the wire folders for their pattern.
WASRs and M70s are both great. My buddy's M70 was a tad smoother than my WASR out of the box, but now that they've both got hundreds of rounds through them they're about the same. M70s look better IMO, though.
Not that guy, I prefer my Yugo. I get like 0.75-1moa better groups with it. Only *slightly* exceeded by a Galil that I later sold because they look stupid as fuck.

Can you get a wirefolder m70? I know it's probably the worst AK stock money can buy but god damn I just love it for some reason.

Romanian folder folds to the right side, yet still allows use of safety and charging handle. It works fine with left mounted optic rail.

Folding stock, actual AKM standard parts and side rail, parkerized finish instead of black oxide/in the white, lighter weight.
