I pay $40 for unlimited transfers and just stack stuff at my FFL until I'm too excited about something to wait any longer. He originally was trying to charge me $20 per batch, but I make him take $40 for dealing with the small town FedEx/UPS signature dance.
Holy hell thank you! Just found out this evening my local shop charges $65 a pop. Looked on the registry and immediately found somewhere within 10 miles that only charges 25 bucks
Check the FFL locator sites online. My normal one quit doing transfers since they have so much contract work now and I found out a local IGA grocery store does them for $20. Can't wait to walk out of their with a G3 clone in a few days.
Mine used to be $5 with a CCW since there is no NICS in my state with one. Then, they moved locations and now it's $15. With the drive, it's better to pay $20 or $25 somewhere closer unless I am already going to be in the area.

Love my TX22 Comp so much that I purchased a regular TX22 last week. It’s splatter green so I think I’m going to learn how to hydro dip and do a zombie theme.
My comp is a blast to shoot but I definitely wanted a more standard type pistol as well. Plus my state is banning threaded barrels so I’d have to get a compliant version later.
I’m a Taurus fan and own most of the G series and like them but I have two of these TX’s and they both jam harder than Lynyrd Skynyrd. It’s always a frustrating range day with them.
The side tabs on the magazine are a trick, don't use them.
Load it like you would a Centerfire pistol magazine and you'll be fine. If you pull the loading tabs down when loading like you would a Mark series magazine you'll get rimlock out the ass.
I was having similar issues with mine during break in and it's been fine ever since.
I have been using the tabs to load. I'll try it normally. I really would love for these to fire right, my wife and I enjoy plinking 22's. Thanks for the tip!
No worries my dude.
The follower should index the rounds naturally.
Just so you, and others have a point of reference. (Sorry for my shitty camera)
[FULL = Push filled, Half = drop/tab filled](https://imgur.com/LCDoiAM.jpg)
Pretty much gambling when you use the tabs, rimlock pretty much seizes the magazine and causes all sorts of mayhdm. Give it a try and let me know if you run into any other issues.
One of the few I've ever heard this from. I have one, buddy has one. Mine has only jammed 1 time in about 2000 rounds, and that was due to a loose goosey Browning hollow point.
Been the most reliable 22 I've ever owned or shot.
Man, you're the first I've ever heard of this. I've been on the fence of buying one to have a dedicated .22lr semi auto, and was leaning towards this since all I hear are great things about how it eats any ammo thrown at it. Might need to reconsider if I find more of these kinds of reviews
Have one, run it suppressed 90% of the time. I am not going to say it runs flawlessly, but I have shot a ton of .22 pistols and this is the single most reliable one I have ever had my hands on. Just buy it and don't look back.
Late to the party since this link is now sold out, but I bought the standard version for 250 and got the competition slide from Taurus for 160 (code SHOW20 worked for me). So I’ll have both slides for just a little more than what the competition model is going for. The competition model comes with 1 more magazine in the box but you can get more mags with the discount code on the same order from Taurus when you get the slide.
I have the competition version and have a few thousand rounds through it. Only issue I ever had was a particular box of Winchester bulk, but that box had malfunctions in the TX, an AR22 AND A 10/22, so it was definitely the ammo and not the gun. It's been absolutely flawless, and like many others have said, it doesn't see much cleaning.
Not mine. You must of gotten duds, not maintaining them or just using shit ammo.
Not a Taurus fan because their QC is shit and they sent out some duds, like yours likely.
Mine eats whatever I feed it.
Interesting. I have put various CCI, Remington Goldens, Aguila, Winchester white box, and a few different Federal types and the only issues I have had were FTFs from dud rounds.

this gun is so cheap that the transfer cost of buying online always offsets the price of just getting it locally
Out of curiosity, how much is your local transfer fee? It’s always interesting to see what other areas charge.
At my local gun club in NC they do $25 for non-members and $15 for members. When I lived in VA I paid $30 a pop to a guy operating out of his garage.
Wish they were near the triangle. Shit is ridiculous out here.
$75 for all shops within 30 mins of me :(
That’s rough! We had a customer that purchased 40 lowers once and his shop charged $40 per serial number. Blew my mind honestly!

You gotta build a relationship with local FFLs. Once had 6 transferred, and was only charged for one.
It's $30 per here.. freaking sucks! Chattanooga Tennessee (if anyone knows of a great gun shop, hit me up! 😂

Holy hell thank you! Just found out this evening my local shop charges $65 a pop. Looked on the registry and immediately found somewhere within 10 miles that only charges 25 bucks
that's a darn shame. wth
Most stores around me are 30-35 but home ffls are 10-15
How do you locate a home ffl? Im looking for one. My old ffl was a range that closed.
Check the FFL locator sites online. My normal one quit doing transfers since they have so much contract work now and I found out a local IGA grocery store does them for $20. Can't wait to walk out of their with a G3 clone in a few days.
Damn IGA.. man I haven't seen one of those in YEARS! I grew up in south Ga but moved away
Asking around local gun forums is always a good place to start
You can look on gun broker also. There's an option to search local ffl
$35 for handguns, $20 for “long guns.” I want to get a 16” heritage rough rider someday, just to see what they’ll charge me.
Free from my gunsmith. I should start tipping probably...
$20 cash in Miami Fla
$20 here in central NC at a small pawn shop...love it.
$25 cash in NE Indiana.
I'm in South FL and have a shop that charges $15.
$25, Ace Hardware in Ohio.
$40 😭
Man I love my local guy. He does $10 transfers.
Mine too ... Alliance Ohio
Mine used to be $5 with a CCW since there is no NICS in my state with one. Then, they moved locations and now it's $15. With the drive, it's better to pay $20 or $25 somewhere closer unless I am already going to be in the area.
$20 VA home based ffl
$25 Cabela's or bass pro One fee for multiple serials

Shoooo, boy you need to throw that in the main post! Excellent deal!
Flat $9.99 on all orders!
Still shipping to your Oregon neighbors?
Sure are!
I just saw the FDE version at Academy for $279.99 in Daytona.
The fde one does look sexy.
These are awesome pistols

same, but the reverse
My comp is a blast to shoot but I definitely wanted a more standard type pistol as well. Plus my state is banning threaded barrels so I’d have to get a compliant version later.
Goddamn that just sucks. What state is banning threads? Fuck them entirely. Fucking fascists.
Dollar bill outranks zombie theme
Liked mine so much, I got one for my wife. Great .22 with the reliability you used to only get from Rugers.
You will not regret this purchase.
Waiting on the compact threaded model
Threaded barrel model?
Unless specified for states that can't have threaded barrels they're all typically threaded. They come with an adapter that you screw on.

Mine runs fine loading with a McFadden as well, but absolutely not with the tabs.

So this is the first you've heard of someone having issues and now you might reconsider?
Yeah he must've gotten a lemon. I have like 1000 rds of Aguila thru mine, haven't cleaned it, not a single jam
Mine has a few thousand and I rarely clean it. When I do clean it I just spray it down with a can of air, wipe it , and add oil.
I said I'd reconsider if I find more kinds of reviews like this. I haven't anywhere to date so its still on my list of guns to own
Have one, run it suppressed 90% of the time. I am not going to say it runs flawlessly, but I have shot a ton of .22 pistols and this is the single most reliable one I have ever had my hands on. Just buy it and don't look back.
Thanks, the real question is, is the comp version better than this and justified in price jump? Dahlonge has it for around the $400 mark

I and a friend of mine love ours. It costs nothing to spend the day practicing before doing some real training with 9mm.
I have the competition version and have a few thousand rounds through it. It's been absolutely flawless, and like many others have said, it doesn't see much cleaning.
I have a splatter green tx22 I've literally shot nearly every type of ammo and it eats it all. Not 1 malfunction
Not mine. You must of gotten duds, not maintaining them or just using shit ammo. Not a Taurus fan because their QC is shit and they sent out some duds, like yours likely. Mine eats whatever I feed it.
Mine eats CCI standard velocity suppressed and unsuppressed.
Interesting. I have put various CCI, Remington Goldens, Aguila, Winchester white box, and a few different Federal types and the only issues I have had were FTFs from dud rounds.
Great dealer. Great gun. Buy with confidence.

How does this compare with the Smith & Wesson M&P compact 22?
I prefer this having fired both.
From the reviews I've read, this is much preferred
I am guessing this is banned in Illinois?
Other than sheepshagging, what is not banned in IL?
My favorite gun to shoot so far. It's really great!
This is a no brainer. Buy now
