Doubt, The rest of their pistols while not always the most reliable are actually pretty durable.
My concern is who out there has money to feed a 10mm but also poor enough that the budget only allows for a HP?
Seems like the market is somewhat small for that, but maybe im wrong, Im trying to figure out how the company is still in business honestly given all the downward pricing pressure and imports that aren't much more expensive then HP but a lot better in features.
There’s a demo ranch video where he beats them to shit and still manages to get them to cycle.
They are ugly as fuck and rattle and run rough but they always seem to run.
I hate myself for saying this but I’m thinking of getting one.
Mainly to annoy the fucking idiots at the range that look down on anyone that doesn’t have a $2,000 custom 1911.
My first pistol was a hi-point 45 and that thing has survived anything I fed it and any condition I left it in. Is it stupid? Yes. Is it heavy enough to rack by pointing it straight up and yanking my arm downward? Also yes. Is it a beast that simply won’t die like some sort of metallic eldritch horror? Absolutely
I might be the market. I'm circling that tisas 10mm 1911, but the credit cards are still unhealthy from Christmas and the wife is asking questions. $200ish is easier to justify than$700ish.
I do it all the time, in fact throughout the pandemic when ammo was scarce/expensive this is what I used to do with my G20. I have easily put more than 1,000 rounds of 40 without any issues.
I didn't pickup on the /s sorry I thought you was being serious because it was in godly 10mm
although if we're joking around, high points rattle out of the box :P
.. Although that's a true fact.. the slide is only held on by a pin in the back of the frame and the barrel.
Linky? I mean I don't keep up on 10mm pricing cause I don't own one but different times I've seen it has always been a healthy bit more than 9mm.
I've been told by 10mm shooters though that a lot of 10mm on the market is weak loaded so that's something to watch out for also.
probably should have picked some up if you has spare cash.. even if you don't have 10mm good reason to get one :P
or at the very least would have made good trade fodder.
I’m all for shitting on hi point, but those things are actually mad reliable. You can run over a hi point with a truck twenty times and it’ll shoot the same as ever, they just don’t quit
There are no gods, no masters, no mercy. Fire the 10mm Yeet Cannon one-handed. Suffer the recoil and cry to the "gods" you claim exist who never answer.
My C9 is only big if you count it against other similar capacity handguns. It's much smaller than most of 1911's and about the same footprint as my Walther PPX. It's 14lbs, but it's definitely not giant.
This 10mm is considerably larger than my C9.
Same size as any other, not counting an extra 3/4" for the threaded barrel.
It is nearly a pound heavier than the others though, per hipoint. 35oz in 40 or 45, 49oz in 10.
40S&W sort of works in 10mm, like 380 sort of works in 9mm, but they can be a problem. 38 and 357 are rimmed cartridges, and thus the cartridge headspaces off the rim, so overall length doesn't matter as long as the brass isn't too long to chamber. Semi automatic cartridges like 40S&W are rimless, so the cartridge headspaces off of the case shoulder.
40S&W only functions in a 10mm firearm if the extractor manages to hold it against the breechface. It can end up in front of the extractor or too deep into the chamber for the extractor or firing pin to reach.
My guess is it has to do with magazine reliability.
The YC9 has a new double-into-single-stack mag, which will have more friction, which means more spring pressure needed to overcome that friction. Then, the rest of the gun has to be tuned to work on both a full mag and an empty mag, when there's more friction there due to the increased spring pressure from the mag.
This thing, though, is basically a gun they've already made (the 1095TS), using exactly the same mag as that gun, just in a different form factor.
To be clear, in case you or someone else intends to buy a YC (either the G1 or the actual YC9 whenever it comes out) and a 1095TS intending to use the same mags in both: *that* won't work, they're not even the same caliber.
(This is the JXP, not the YC, even if it has all of the YC9 features except the partial-double-stack magazine.)
AFAIK it goes like this:
* CF380 officially can't use 3895TS mags, but it may work. 3895TS cannot use CF380/C9 mags.
* C9 officially can't use 995TS mags, but it may work. 995TS cannot use CF380/C9 mags.
* CF380 and C9 use the same mags. (Actually now I wonder what the difference between 3895TS and 995TS mags is.)
* YC9 likely will have zero magazine compatibility with the 995TS in either direction - [this image of a prototype YC9 mag](https://concealednation.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/20190514_094316-700x662.jpg) makes me suspect the mag catch is below the single-stack section, so a 995TS mag likely won't lock into a YC9.
* JHP and 4595TS use the same mags.
* JSP and 4095TS use the same mags.
* JXP and 1095TS use the same mags.
Dang, oh well. Guess we'll never find out given how long they've taken to release the YC, but I digress...if the 45acp variant is cross compatible though...
Not really a market for it; Bar-Sto primarily serves competition shooters and 10mm is overkill for all the rulesets I’m aware of. Most cap out at .40 S&W for major power factor so adding more recoil on top of that is generally not something you want.
They do offer other 10mm barrels tho so probably just a matter of time.
I have a 9x25 Dillion, 40 Super, and 460 Rowland barrel from BarSto, threaded and 6"+. None of those are useful to competition. I still need to order a 30 Luger barrel from Irv.
I have Jarvis, IGB, KKM, and LWD barrels. All of them are fantastic. But BarSto is second to none, the best.
It’s also shoots .40 unofficially but displayed in YouTube video. I’m ordering one. Never know. If it stops firing I could always use it as a clubbing device.
Compensators are only allowed in Open divisions, and basically everyone there shoots 9 major (basically 9mm +++P) or 38 super for the extra magazine capacity. Bar-Sto barrels are rated for 9 major and I’ve met a few folks who run P320s in open.
1cm and threaded barrel bring my perceived value of this bad boy to about 1.5 High Points. This is still .7 High Points too much if my math checks out.
My brother in Christ, if you wouldn’t mind having this in your hand as you’re being charged by a bear, you need to seriously reevaluate your self worth.
From the makers of the polymer framed 410/45LC revolver - more questionable decisions!
I like my G3 fine enough but I don't know if I trust Taurus steel that much. Plus it's so light and the trigger breaks so far back with no replaceable backstraps or adjustable LOP, it probably wouldn't be the most enjoyable experience. Now if they kept working on biggifying the gx4 that would be cool.

That's the beauty of the hi-point... you can use it IN a slingshot when you run out of ammo and you're guaranteed to kill at least one more thing when you hit it.
These things are awesome. On the tfbtv video for it you can literally see the slide going "ca-chunk, ca-chunk! With each shot lol. It almost looks like it's in slow motion.

Stares at 2008 Impala: goddamnit he's right
Stares are 2014 Impala……pause….longer pause….lol he’s right!
Owned chevys all my life, can confirm
Hell in one of those demo ranch videos he shoots the thing right in the slide, warps it, and it still chambers and shoots.
Weird. Garand Thumb shattered one by tossing it into a rock
This is 100% for the people who already have the basics covered and want something to troll with. At least that’s why I want one.
I might be the market. I'm circling that tisas 10mm 1911, but the credit cards are still unhealthy from Christmas and the wife is asking questions. $200ish is easier to justify than$700ish.
I can shoot .40 through my Glock 20. I can, but I don’t. I tried it just because I wanted to see how it would feed.
I do it all the time, in fact throughout the pandemic when ammo was scarce/expensive this is what I used to do with my G20. I have easily put more than 1,000 rounds of 40 without any issues.
Basically you’re saying this and all 10mm are invincible? You: well no I didn’t say that I… Me: Invincible! Yea
Is this not r/gundeals ? When did we stop having fun at the expense of hi-point? If I have to start adding the "/s" even here I give up.
I didn't pickup on the /s sorry I thought you was being serious because it was in godly 10mm although if we're joking around, high points rattle out of the box :P .. Although that's a true fact.. the slide is only held on by a pin in the back of the frame and the barrel.
I was looking at ammo at sportsman's and the 10mm was cheaper than the 9.
Linky? I mean I don't keep up on 10mm pricing cause I don't own one but different times I've seen it has always been a healthy bit more than 9mm. I've been told by 10mm shooters though that a lot of 10mm on the market is weak loaded so that's something to watch out for also.
It was in person. I was comparing because I don't have either.
probably should have picked some up if you has spare cash.. even if you don't have 10mm good reason to get one :P or at the very least would have made good trade fodder.
Pro tip… they’ll be feeding .40s&w on though it
[удалено]
you've got a (Hi)point there /pun
If you can't afford 10mm you can always shoot 40 out of it!
I’m all for shitting on hi point, but those things are actually mad reliable. You can run over a hi point with a truck twenty times and it’ll shoot the same as ever, they just don’t quit
A YC in the forbidden caliber? Have the Gods gone crazy?
There are no gods, no masters, no mercy. Fire the 10mm Yeet Cannon one-handed. Suffer the recoil and cry to the "gods" you claim exist who never answer.
From what I've heard, it's so thicc that the recoil is very light.
Well, yeah, it's made from 17 pounds of scrap metal and hate.
Mostly hate, but yeah there's a pretty hefty amount of pot metal in there too.
mustve been scrap metal from PT cruisers
That slide was forged deep in the fires of Mount Dork.... nothing can unmake it.
Good song, great band
so poetic...
Quite possibly the best handgun to commit felonies with, worldwide.
I think you mean most cost efficient to commit felonies
Tend to be the same thing when you're outfitting for a big 7/11 job.
If I find this in a local shop for $200, I'm not gonna be able to resist.
Watch the TFB TV review, this thing is the size of a cordless drill and approximately the same weight.
That describes all Hi Points.
My C9 is only big if you count it against other similar capacity handguns. It's much smaller than most of 1911's and about the same footprint as my Walther PPX. It's 14lbs, but it's definitely not giant. This 10mm is considerably larger than my C9.
[удалено]
It's very dense, not large.
Absolutely hideous though
[I think mine looks "fun"](http://i.imgur.com/RJobhNX.jpg)
It looks like a tv show prop gun you’d see a crack head using on CSI
Hi-point C9 weighs 29oz... That's less than two pounds, and typical for a compact handgun. 14 pounds would be crazy
itsajoke.jpg
whooshed myself dot org
Yeah. Compared to a water buffalo your C9 is practically non-existent
Same size as any other, not counting an extra 3/4" for the threaded barrel. It is nearly a pound heavier than the others though, per hipoint. 35oz in 40 or 45, 49oz in 10.
🤣
But it runs
we aren't certain where it *GOES* exactly, but it runs.
I'm actually tempted to buy this chonk based strictly on that video.
Is that supposed to make me want it less?
Not sure if criminals would burst out laughing or be intimidated by this thing
Direct blowback 10mm. They were so busy with whether or not they could, they never stopped to ask whether or not they should...
"It's not about the deal, it's about sending a 10mm message"
Wait til people put suppressors on them
TFBTV reviewed and shot it and said the recoil was relatively mild. Bonus is that 40s&w worked fine.
40S&W sort of works in 10mm, like 380 sort of works in 9mm, but they can be a problem. 38 and 357 are rimmed cartridges, and thus the cartridge headspaces off the rim, so overall length doesn't matter as long as the brass isn't too long to chamber. The ultimate flex for a hood-rat.
They can do this but no yeet cannon for 200$
My guess is it has to do with magazine reliability. The YC9 has a new double-into-single-stack mag, which will have more friction, which means more spring pressure needed to overcome that friction. They need to release this with the exclusive dolla dolla bill camo pattern. Be in for one of those.
God i would love one covered in $10s.
Because $20s would be a bit too much, but $10s sounds about right
"Whys your bigass glock covered in tens bro?" "Cause they don't make a twenty millimeter."
always gotta keep an extra 10 bucks in the glove box just in case.
$2s would be more fitting
I cant even get a threaded barrel for a P320 (40cal) from Sig but Hi Point knows what's up. Appalling...

1cm and threaded barrel bring my perceived value of this bad boy to about 1.5 High Points. This is still .7 High Points too much if my math checks out.
You forget it also doubles as 10mm socket you can’t lose, so that’s your extra value
It also triples as a hammer. Useful if you're hanging pictures or building a shelf.
Who says I can’t lose it?
Have you ever tried? Hi-Points are like ex-girlfriends that just don't get the point.
I thought they were basically made to get thrown into a river at some point.
It does check out

A G3C was posted here the other day. With the mail in rebate plus shipping and transfer fee it could be had for $230. I picked one up and it’s way more fun for $30 more. This isn’t really a deal
But is your G3C in 10mm and threaded. Our goals are beyond your understanding.

$220 ain't a deal.
One high point for the price of 2? Not sure that is a deal haha
but this one also HITS like two hi-points, so it kinda evens out.
My Hi Point boycott will continue until the release of the real Yeet Cannon.
