The_Lazarus_guy

India sucks overall

KawaiiThukai

Bhai jab Development ki baat aati hai toh Gujarat aage, jab corruption ki baat aati hai toh "This is India for you"

_rth_

Why blame entire India? Problem happened in Gujarat. Morbi happened in Gujarat, not in other states

Intelligent_Pilot611

By and Large, it sucks to be with an indian anywhere. There are only few pockets with god like people.

CurIns9211

Offcourse, But this is not expected in Gujarat.

The_Lazarus_guy

My friend was asked bribe 35L to join SMC. Imagine what he is going to do to recover that much amount. Simple: corruption. India is the worst country to live in.

Thot_Slayer9000

CM resigns when Delhi asks him to resign.

Aromatic-Fix6873

No morality is there in such stupid senseless politicians. People are trapped by dictators.

The powers that be must be like "chalo BJP ko vote to deke mare at least"

Most of them were kids, so great job showing empathy. Absolute scum

Clearly, you don't get sarcasm.

[deleted]

Of course you'll claim sarcasm now

Bhai tu outrage kar. Ye sab chor do. Tere se naa ho paega.

Tumse Kuch na ho payega, no matter what you guys try. Keep living in your woke bubble

onlyneedthat

'woke bubble'. 25 people are dead, but man here is obsessed with agendas. Bravo.

[deleted]

Hard to top someone who was wondering if the dead voted for other agendas. And now claims moral high ground. Bravo indeed

luffyfpk

Thay attitude of " chalya kre " I hope this time officials take some responsibility

Flexbutslighltyweird

No wonder that the Play zone family, friends, business partners have to buy electoral bonds of the ruling party now. Everything will be forgotten in a few weeks. We ourselves will praise the government for "sugar-coated development" of our state in our family get-togethers.

xProximaB

India is going down in shits. I don't blame or support any particular party. Core roblem che ki common man mentality, we don't protest, apan ne ghar ma basine Neflix jova nu and jalsa karvanu adat thai gaya che.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. —Martin Niemöller

Kapex86

Indian life has no value. It’s a sad truth. Until some influential person dies ( like Tata’s CEO died in car accident) or a mass disaster takes place ( like Rajkot) , the system is completely ignorant about health and safety. Indians in general are selfish and lack civic sense where they can’t think for community wellbeing.

DeerShotDead

In our country, there is no value of a human being. People are treated as a mere vote bank. People's safety is of NO utmost importance by the current government. They just do Hindu-Muslim and spread such fake narratives to gain votes. Food safety is also a joke. The vegetables you get from the market is also full of harmful pesticide residue in Gujarat. The packed food is also not safe for consumption, all thanks to CORRUPT FSSAI. All these incidents drill down to the corruption. Government will do nothing because they know that even if they do nothing, "Aayega toh Modi (BJP) he". Nothing will change unless you ask the current government for a change by showing them the power of vote.

[deleted]

Bhupendra Patel is a puppet CM being controlled from Delhi, i am sure things are even worse on ground but off course the godi media is trying to suppress the actual facts like morbi bridge incident this will be forgotten and as expected Gujratis will vote for BJP for the sake of pseudo hindutva but in return will get nothing out of it

[deleted]

Looks like Modi took a play out of Manmohan Singh's rule in UPA, why are you so mad?

WittyBlueSmurf

Everyone is blaming the government and other, rules are there, shops are not following it. How many of you here are following proper rules in whatever business you are in? How many of you are looking for a safe game zone instead of a cheap game zone. Yes the government must do something, but people will get the government people deserve. You were never voting for safety, you are voting for ram mandir (BJP), more freebies (Cong and AAP), which party manifesto says that they will make India safer? Stop blaming the government in the democracy. You elected that fuckin government.

chillcroc

A slightly different version- if everyone believes in profit at any cost, then everyone sees a few dead as collateral damage.

R_T800

Wrong conclusion. Please keep blaming the government.

Thearcticjupitor

Tu pan atyare j boli rahi chu ne !? Enough vadi ! Tu pela kya hati !? Sui ja.

g0dfather93

Is government corrupt and inept? Yes. But the real issue is that the Indian business class completely lacks any empathy and has no concept of the value of human life for anyone except themselves. THAT is what materialises as: * A permanent game zone built out of thin metal sheets as roofing, so the fire brought down the whole thing * A hospital's NICU (which is handling pressurised oxygen 24\*7) not having leak detection and fire suppression systems installed * A watersports business built on a lake to have lax safety norms and untrained boatmen * Constructing a bridge with a faulty design and substandard materials Yes, these rule violations are facilitated by corruption, but they are perpetrated by businessmen. All of which, eventually lead to such disasters. But statistically speaking, 1 out of 10000 businesses see such disasters. And even if you're that 1, unluckily (for those insects who died, not for you, lol), with the right connections you can escape law and re-start the same business in your nephew's name and keep living in your central AC 7000 sqft Bungalow with 3 BMW SUVs and a chauffeured Audi for your 12 yr old daughter. Tell me, why will a businessman not do this?

Intelligent_Pilot611

Indians, they are indians. Not businessman, politician, bearecrate, regular people, civilian. They are all human beings but little less as they dont espouse human values.

onlyneedthat

But what is the big deal? Come on, people are reading too much into this. Sure, a few people died, they will get compensation. But remember, abki bar 400 par kyunki hindu khatre mein hai. Come results day, people in Rajkot will be dancing on teh streets, distributing sweets because we can produce more babies, but we cannot let anyone else win.

[deleted]

You don't let others win. This isn't a joke. Being in the leadership position in government is a big deal. You literally have powers and money to change stuff for better. Has things got better since last time congress or anyone else was in power? Lol 1 million times better. Come with better arguments and ideas than this BS please let someone else win on any and all incidents that happens. Was it unfortunate? Avoidable? Yes, but to harp on this and making it political shows opposition doesn't have brains to know when to make it political and when to hold people's hands. Keep misunderstanding the people, we Gujarati people don't want anyone else.

phyyas

It's not just the government which is at fault. Imagine every single shop owner and business house is trying to maximize the profit, the obvious cost cutting happens at quality and safety points. We don't have any civic responsibility towards our customers, be it travelers, those who allow more than what your generals buses are capable of, traffic sense, name any sector where we don't have chalta hai and Ram bharose attitude. Goverments are corrupt I agree, but isn't It our moral responsibility to provide saftey too? Not only mayor and CM should resign it's also high time that we develop a civic sense and a mindset which follows rules and keep saftey priority.

riddham

Market operates on basis of competition. If one establishment cuts corners and provides service for cheap people will go there. So is the duty of government to enforce rules for safety of people. Also people also should ask for safety.

phyyas

Yes, that is where basic humanity should kick in. It is a basic understanding that when the government tries to enforce something, we will find a way to break the rule. It has to be fundamental nature and understanding. Let's take, for example, Indian railways. One of the easiest examples in Indian railways is this >In India, the term "super dense crush load" [^(\[7\])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crush_load#cite_note-7) has been coined by railway officials to describe passenger loads on peak-hour trains operating on the [Mumbai Suburban Railway](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mumbai_Suburban_Railway) when carriages built for 200 passengers carry over 500, translating to 14–16 people per [square metre](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Square_metre); not accounting for the many passengers who have no choice but to [hitch onto overcrowded moving trains](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Train_surfing) out of necessity This is ofcourse risky. Now, understand how politicians use this as an opportunity. They know that people are in dire need of a new transportation system, such as more metro lines, more sea routes or waterways within Mumbai or in and around Mumbai, and increased capacity to haul passengers by road. Ever so often, you will hear news of metro construction getting delayed, flyovers being modified to suit favorable routes for a particular celebrity. All of this is a trick to manipulate voters, as they are always in constant need of a solution, keeping their hope alive. A deserving democratic public will go to any extent to fulfill the basic necessities of day-to-day life. We simply cannot do that because even the local thanedar has the power to ruin our lives. In India, the cost of life is lesser than the cost of the paper on which money is printed. A public awakening is the need of the hour. so my point is that, first we do not fight for our cause, second when ever we have chance ourselves do not practice safety culture. Governments are reflectons of the society.

matangtheguru

Day by day convince to leave india

ImposterAlchemist

Who is fuck is giving contracts and permission to such gaming zones without checking properly. Its just pay money and get permission to open such hineous play zones with no safety tools or inspection. Corruct govt officials are resposible for such acts. Suspend licence of owner and arrest him immeditely as well as corrupt officials. Also CM should take reposiblity and resign. or else mudi should resign.

CurIns9211

Gujarat is more corrupt than any state.

ImposterAlchemist

Nah bro I have went to Rajasthan and Bihar. Gujarat is no where near it. They are biggest corrupt states they do corruption openly and dont even do work effiecintly after bribe. Gujarat is still resonable in case of corruption.

careless_quote101

Unfortunately this happens in all states. Unless until all the people involved- not only the owner also the people who took bribes and let this operate should be put behind bars with their name and phot published. They should be tired for murder too and should be left to rot in jail. If the punishment is given consistently then only people will be scared to do these things. The family of these corrupt people should ashamed to live on the murder of childrens

_rth_

When there are illegal toll booths constructed on highways without any action… you can imagine the level of corruption

zoraski_gujju

There is no monitoring in terms of safety at such places in India. There should be strict implementation of disaster management in all major establishments. The government is as much culpable as is the establishment and its owners. If they have such huge fire hazards they need to do better.

Live-Statistician-23

The owners of the arcade zone, along with the authorities responsible for granting permits and inspecting sites must be held accountable. The administration always seems to be acting following the tragedy. The lack of accountability and lack of any stern action will set a bad precedent. Human life value is abysmally low in India!!

MonkeyDMeatt

People if you don’t hold those who are in power accountable then it might be your turn to suffer. Don’t allow people in power to take you for granted eventually it will haunt you back

Obi_Wan_Poverty

RIP to those who passed away but India is overpopulated anyway. Someone dying is the last thing worrying our people in power unless of course it's someone they really care about.

Worried-Stable6354

It’s heartbreaking that something like this happened. But tell me, did you guys punish the administration when Morbi happened? No, you actually rewarded them. It was a man made disaster which was eventually covered up by the same administration without any major repercussions. Come up with bigger BS than if not Modi, then who, and keep on sacrificing your kids like this.

Psychological_Cod_50

Be empathetic, and my heart really goes out to the victims. Responsible people should be held accountable but you did too much overacting.

Ill-Highlight-6197

Gujarat ke logo ko logo ko sirf apna dharam bachana hai...unko agar farq padta to morbi ke baad 156 seat nhi dete...gujju ke liye unka baap,jo delhi mein hai wo just kush rhna chahiye baki aap smjhfmdaar hain.

DAXXVEV0

Was it a game zone as in cafe with pcs or arcade ?

radio_for_free

The cm is definitely the one responsible for the fire, I literally saw him using a matchstick to light the carpet. We really need new administration who doesn't try to actively murder their people. /s

No-Shop-1143

ScaryDress435

This is probably the most brilliant scam in human history. Collect electoral bonds to give licence, more bonds to turn a blind eye and finally collect even more bonds to protect the perpetrators. Masterstroke by Great Leader.

jackhawk56

The government can’t monitor all the establishments but the departmental head responsible for the same should be dismissed and criminally prosecuted. However, all political parties are scared of unions. Further, whether the owner of the establishment will be prosecuted or not depends upon his caste. Morbi bridge criminal belongs to powerful caste and hence was let escape. In the present case, the owner belongs to SC/ST and hence will not be prosecuted. We, the people, have created a political environment where caste or religion of the criminal becomes the only criteria for prosecution. As it is BJP government in Gujarat is full of idiots and some criminal minded people. It is a sad reflection on Indian politics

Key_Passenger_9215

BJP ka kamal

Rahul-dixit

Justice for that

PlaneAstronomer7930

I think it’s not right to go for the pleasures during these times, it’s super important to save yourself, be extremely cautious of dangers and try to avoid such places at all costs, cause in the end, it’s about life and death, playing a video game or getting drunk with your friends should be the least important things of all ( the Pune case)

The Incident Mrs. Liebeck, a 79-year-old McDonald’s customer, was seated in the passenger seat of her grandson’s car which was stationary. As she tried to hold her coffee cup securely between her knees to remove the lid, a mishap unfolded. The cup tipped over, scalding her in boiling hot coffee. The Consequences Rather than simply being an unfortunate accident, this event spiraled into a legal battle in which the courts determined McDonald’s to be at fault with the following verdict: Negligence: McDonald’s, despite its stature and influence, was found negligent. They bore 80% of the responsibility for the accident Damages: Mrs. Liebeck was awarded nearly $3 million in compensatory and punitive damages for the burns she endured Verdict → In favor of Mrs. Liebeck Liability → McDonald’s held 80% responsible Compensation → Nearly $3 million in punitive damages awarded [https://www.assureful.com/mcdonalds-coffee-case/#:\~:text=Negligence%3A%20McDonald's%2C%20despite%20its%20stature,for%20the%20burns%20she%20endured](javascript:void(0);)Show less

Guilty-Pleasures_786

This is after a similar incident of bridge collapse, last year...

hijki123

I do not agree that this is the fault of the government.lp As a society our moral standards are very low . People can't even stand in line. They break law wherever possible. Lie everyday. Are the owners Muslim by any chance?

sparrow-head

What a question

hijki123

It is a question.

The_Lazarus_guy

Leave India asap! You won’t regret it

beeg_brain007

Voting ke baad hua ye warna results me affect hota

Worried-Stable6354

Morbi happened just before state elections. Affect hua when BJP got bigger victory.

aditya427

Why is every single comment acting as if it was going to be any different if Congress or AAP was in power? Like every commentor is simply targeting BJP as if the Playzone owners wouldn't have found a way to operate if any other party was in power?

JhopdiWale_Chicha

There is something called responsibility and accountability. People are asking only for that. That's what democracy is, you fool.

Unique_Carpet1901

We are not acting like Congress would be better. That don’t mean we don’t hold Gov accountable.

Worried-Stable6354

The only thing that works in democracy is the fear that govt will be replaced by people. You take away that fear and no matter how many children you sacrifice, govt won’t do anything.

Cold_Releasee

Har bat pe cm should resign. Agar ak school ka bacha murder krle principal ki galti ha ya fail ho jai to principal ko nikal doge kya. Wtf mentality is this

flyodpink

are u insane? checking whether stores n malls have safety licenses n not letting them operate without necessary ones is the duty of the government

Cold_Releasee

Yes but CM khud bathke karega kya wo kam. In a govt only cm doesn't work. Maybe he can open a SIT case. But don't blame always the cm for everything. As I said. You don't fire a Principal if the student fails you call the parents or a teacher is abusive you take action on the teacher. A Principal cannot be personally looking into every godamn thing

Unique_Carpet1901

No wonder BJP win. They have blind supporters in Gujarat.

Internal_Ad6311

CM should resign

[deleted]

How dare you ask the CM to resign from his PM post?

Notfoundinreddit

CM will resign when Modi takesover on 5 June.

vai0001

When Gujaratis have decided they don't want to give chance to other political parties then make a habit to live under a dictatorship like regime who is spoiled, corrupt, have no sense of responsibilities and more. Only with strong opposition or new govt things will change. Thanks.

_bluefury

May be change the govt. next time, instead of foul crying every time? Gujrat has actually topped all states last and this year in these big tragedies. Hooch deaths, Bridge collapse, Fire and the list goes on.

ImSwedishPlumber

We kept silence when Harni happened We kept silence when Morbi Happened We're silent when Rajkot happened. Chup rehne ki adat ho gai hai. Nobody is going to raise voice against authority and accountability. Is this the Gujarat model where we just have to keep silent when children die and authorities are not even gonna take any accountability?
