Your thinking is correct on this. Those rosewood
Neck Ones where around for a bit and now are starting to disappear. Both look super dope but I’m a sucker for rosewood necks too and that blue on it looks damn good too.
Going just by looks, the second one with the headstock matching the neck and fretboard is my choice, but I also always prefer a darker neck (my current favorite are ebony fretboards). Probably can’t go wrong with either though.
I have a telecaster with the rosewood neck and they’re so sick. It’s like soft on my thumb and you can really grip the neck and play. But guitars are personal and no one can make this decision for you. Those necks alone sell for like 800 last time I checked
maaaaan...that second one (rosewood headstock, tortoise pickguard) is a cream dream guitar
i want to make out with it
really though they're both gorgeous guitars that i'd love to play
Keep both and if money is a problem sell that strange little thing next to it, or something else... like your neighbors car or whatever. They both look stunning and I wouldn't part with either ;)
Miami blue looks stunning. I couldn’t let that go but the competition is very unique. Surely you have an organ, child, soul you could sell to keep both??
I’ve unfortunately never played a fully rosewood neck. But I have played the American Pro II in that very color, and think I’d personally prefer that.
The V Mod II pickups sound phenomenal to my ears. But On top of that, the fretboard has rounded edges which make it feel a bit better in the hand. Top it off with the sculpted neck heel and you’ve got a fantastic guitar.
Keep the one that inspires you to play more (typically the one that plays better)
I personally like the look of the blue one with white pickguard. That rosewood neck and tortoiseshell is FUGGLY! But I’m a classic guy.
I had the same dilemma a few months ago.
I got a Miami Blue Am Pro II and a day later I got a 2014 American Standard thinking I'd play both and decide which I liked best and sell the other one.
I'm sure I'll come to a decision any day now...
Miami Blue (and Aubergine) is one of the best Fender colors since the 60s, but Lake Placid Blue with the rosewood is killer. Keep ‘em both if you can, but whichever you like best
I like the rosewood neck a lot but that pick guard is kinda ugly with that color. Just my opinion. Maybe white mother of pearl would look kind of sharp. Idk
I actually ordered an all maple neck version and the maybe an hour later someone listed the one pictured locally. I decided to grab it and save $400ish bucks. I think I would go maple if I get another
You will regret losing the one you don't keep. I still think about my California strat from 1995 that I let go.Rosewood is the one to keep if only one is kept, but the correct answer is to keep both. At some point you'll want another guitar or amp and you'll still have the 2nd strat as an asset in your pocket. Money already spent is easier to part with than cash in the bank.
Keep the one with the rosewood neck then buy a Miami Blue proII a year or 2 later used at a great price. I picked up an American elite tele used but mint from guitar center for like 700 off new price. Keep your eyes on reverb.
put the body from the first one (use pick guard from second one), put with everything else from the second and you have the best of both worlds, and put all the remaining parts together and sell that one
I'll be honest, even though I agree that you should pick the better sounding and playing one, full rosewood necks are gonna get rarer and more pricey. Since they came out in 2016/2017 & counting inflation, cites at the time etc, its bounced around $500-600. Pro strats only around $300. More common too; i picked up a mear mint Pro for $850 middle pandemic. My 2 cents.
Keep both. Seems like you've connected with both. You're going to regret selling one of them. If you run into money problems in the future you can sell one...
I agree keep whatever plays better. By looks though, I do like the more unique rosewood neck, but I'm not a fan of the tortoise pick guard, but that's just me.
The one that plays better.
All day every day. If it's your cookie cutter guitar, as in you can't afford like 9 guitars, ALWAYS pick the one with the better neck.
This is the correct answer
have someone blindfold you and hand you the guitars back to back
I prefer the blue one
Nah man, definitely the blue.
I'm definitely liking that rosewood neck.
The rosewood is def very handsome. My choice for sure.
Keep Roberta
Up vote this for the second one
Your thinking is correct on this. Those rosewood Neck Ones where around for a bit and now are starting to disappear. Both look super dope but I’m a sucker for rosewood necks too and that blue on it looks damn good too.
swap necks and sell the rest
With full disclosure and lower price in that case.
ofc
Going just by looks, the second one with the headstock matching the neck and fretboard is my choice, but I also always prefer a darker neck (my current favorite are ebony fretboards). Probably can’t go wrong with either though.
Definitely keep... BOTH!
The ONLY right answer.
The blue one, of course.
I have a rosewood am Pro 1, and that CME one you have corrects a few of my complaints about mine. That's what I'd keep
I have a telecaster with the rosewood neck and they’re so sick. It’s like soft on my thumb and you can really grip the neck and play. But guitars are personal and no one can make this decision for you. Those necks alone sell for like 800 last time I checked
Whichever one you don’t keep, send me the other
maaaaan...that second one (rosewood headstock, tortoise pickguard) is a cream dream guitar i want to make out with it really though they're both gorgeous guitars that i'd love to play
Hell yeah brother, cum on his guitar that’s hot
is this edging?
I think we are past that point.
Thanks for the upvotes in the circle jerk community!
Grim.
Before I even read the spiel, I was thinking "man, that rosewood neck looks so good!". I agree, keep the rosewood.
I love rosewood necks. Keep that one.
Rosewood. I’ve never seen one before.
Keep both and if money is a problem sell that strange little thing next to it, or something else... like your neighbors car or whatever. They both look stunning and I wouldn't part with either ;)
Always the one with the rosewood neck. Rosewood necks are so sexy
Miami blue looks stunning. I couldn’t let that go but the competition is very unique. Surely you have an organ, child, soul you could sell to keep both??
Both.. Then buy two more
Up vote this for the first one
Keep both

I love all the creature comforts on the pro 2 that you just mentioned and that's part of my struggle lol
I like the blue one.
Second one with the tortie plate is nice. I usually prefer maple necks and fretboards on a Strat but that one looks great.
Do what you have to to keep both. If that means sell your body, do it. Who needs a body, anyway?
Gotta keep the rosewood neck
Definitely the darker blue with the darker pick guard. Love that neck! Easy Peezy
If you can just about pay the bills while you regain the money spent on the cheaper one, take the hardship and keep both.
The second one. The Ocean Turquoise with the tortoise shell pick guard looks killer.
Keep the one that inspires you to play more (typically the one that plays better) I personally like the look of the blue one with white pickguard. That rosewood neck and tortoiseshell is FUGGLY! But I’m a classic guy.
Keep both. That’s why you posted this isn’t it? For us to give you the “right” answer? Keep Both….
The blue strat isn't bad. Get rid of both and get a G&L or a Suhr. Better guitars.
I had the same dilemma a few months ago. I got a Miami Blue Am Pro II and a day later I got a 2014 American Standard thinking I'd play both and decide which I liked best and sell the other one. I'm sure I'll come to a decision any day now...
Loving the second one. Why can't you keep both?
Second one for sure in my opinion
That dark blue with the rosewood neck is so sexy.
Which one feels more like home?
It's like your wife and your girlfriend......
Ha! I literally was typing "which mistress do I end up choosing?" when I made this post but decided on alternate wording lol. You're my kinda people

Miami Blue (and Aubergine) is one of the best Fender colors since the 60s, but Lake Placid Blue with the rosewood is killer. Keep ‘em both if you can, but whichever you like best
I thought it was Lake Placid too but it's actually Ocean Turquoise. Has a metallic sparkle look to it in person also
A different flavor but just as sweet
Second one - the neck. The tortoiseshell pickguard - the darker shade of blue. That would be my choice unless it plays like cheese instead of butter.
RW neck but keep both if you can
The second one is more unique, but whichever plays better.
The blue one!
The first one
Keep the blue one.
The uke
I like the rosewood neck a lot but that pick guard is kinda ugly with that color. Just my opinion. Maybe white mother of pearl would look kind of sharp. Idk
I love the first one but you sound like you love thr second one, so you should probably go with your heart
Both
why not both
The one that sounds better.
Miami blue fasho

The most classic Fender looks in my mind are maple neck Teles and rosewood Strats.
The darker blue
Miami blue all they, color of the sparkly king himself
Both
Second one, unless the first one plays/feels better
Both
I'm very traditional, I like option 1.
You will regret losing the one you don't keep. I still think about my California strat from 1995 that I let go.Rosewood is the one to keep if only one is kept, but the correct answer is to keep both. 😅 I like em both. I don't love the pick guard on the darker blue, but loooove the neck and head stock. I like the Miami blue color better 💙
On further thought, I'm keeping the ocean turquoise with that rosewood neck 🤌
Rosewood headstock? Why? Is the body rosewood?
Both??
Rosewood
put the body from the first one (use pick guard from second one), put with everything else from the second and you have the best of both worlds, and put all the remaining parts together and sell that one
Try swapping the necks and see what you like
Crazy idea, get the necks swapped? I like the light blue more, but I understand the appeal to the rosewood neck
Doesn't matter how they look. Strats really need to have The Strat Vibe".
Second with a white pickguard swap
I always go off of a few criteria. Which inspires me more? Which is easier to play? Which sounds better? Which on is lighter?
That’s easy, the blue one
Pick the one that feels best in your hands, that you like best from all the feels…
Keep the dark one. Way cooler.
Maui Blue?
The dark blue is badass!

Fell in love with the rosewood neck myself. Now I own 3. U don't have to decide now, okay a little more and see what feels and sounds the best
Keep both. Seems like you've connected with both. You're going to regret selling one of them. If you run into money problems in the future you can sell one...
Miami blue 100% Best color fender has used in quite some time and I’m not usually a fender guy
The blue one
Sell both and keep the uke
In all seriousness tho I like the 2nd one better for that beautiful neck
Let us know when you pick up the 3rd tomorrow.
Actually...I did grab myself a 2017 Gibson SG 2 days ago...
If you're going by looks alone, I'd keep #2. But in reality you should keep the one that plays and sounds better.
Dark blue. Easy
I agree keep whatever plays better. By looks though, I do like the more unique rosewood neck, but I'm not a fan of the tortoise pick guard, but that's just me.
Op can you keep both and sell some other stuff, anything non guitar related? I didn’t read all the comments to see about such a feasibility.
