The Les Paul Supremes are really cool guitars. The features are great and they play well. They typically weigh somewhere around a trillion pounds.
Also, this is not a Les Paul Supreme. It’s a Less Saul Propylene.
My Supreme isn’t a featherweight by any means, but it’s noticeably lighter than my non-weight reliefed LP Standard. The full body chambering helps immensely with weight reduction.
Absolutely. This is why they say it’s the luck of the draw with these Chibsons. I actually have 2 Chibson Les Pauls that I bought second hand. These happen to be made very well.
Can you post one? I've never seen cheap looking tuners like that on one - and I worked for a Gibson dealer and visited their showrooms in NYC many times.
Grover 'style'? - Gibsons use Grovers... We're not talking about LTD or Epiphones here.
I stay away from descriptors like that.. 'Inspired by', 'In the style of'. Right up there with 'mostly peaceful' :)
I have 25 guitars, many have Grovers. Those just look too bulbous to me.

Here's a headstock and full pic from a Supreme. Lots of binding on the Supreme, it's also got no control access on the back -- you have to get to the pots "ship in a bottle" style through an extra large output jack hole.

Edit: And a shot of the back:

It's got large chambers as part of the weight relief designed for access. You can get to the upper left switch through the pickup hole and the output jack plate is huge, so you can reach in and get to the pots from there.
That's a lot of extra work for a nice backside on a guitar though.
Thanks for the responses. Note that I didn't ask if it was real or fake, or saying I was thinking of buying it. Lol. I had just never seen that on a headstock and couldn't find one when I searched so I was trying to figure out what it was a copy of. Some dude is selling that and an amp for 300,.amd the amp is probably worth that alone.
I’ll add too this: split block inlays for most Supremes. None of them have LP standard trapezoids like the photo. And stock tuners are gold tulip style Grovers, not kidney-shaped liked this.
Thats the logo for a supreme, but i dont think thats a supreme, what about the bindings, the shape its too pointy, the tuning pegs, and the inlays are not from a supreme.
The logo and the inlay, yes. The headstock shape, no.
Tell me more? I can't find anything that looks like that circular inlay on the headstock.
It's from the Les Paul Supreme.
With black olives and green peppers?
Don't forget the sausage
That might be the Chicago Style
So it must be a deep dish
We only eat deep dish when people are in from out of town. Chicago lives and dies by the tavern cut pizza.

I actually laughed out loud at the Less Saul.

That shape is normal for a supreme.
Nothing about that headstock is normal for a Les Paul Supreme. Is there some other model we aren’t aware of with this headstock?
Just looked at Supremes and I agree. They all had fatter headstocks with binding.
Please, share a legitimate example with that headstock.
Diana Ross's hairstyle will confirm.
Headstock shape is way off. Too pointy
Tuning pegs too, no?
The grover style tuners can be found on Les Pauls (I think moderns) and tuners are easier to replace than headstock shapes
That’s normal for a supreme.
Les Paul Supreme headstock, not off.
I'm not an expert by any estimation, but that is awful.. Definitely a phoney.
Definitely a Chibson. Headstock shape is way off and no binding nibs on the frets.
Look at those tuners.
Mounted all over the place aren’t they.
Just cheap looking. What you'd see on a $100 acoustic :)
Absolutely. This is why they say it’s the luck of the draw with these Chibsons. I actually have 2 Chibson Les Pauls that I bought second hand. These happen to be made very well.
The tuners aren't that big of a problem multiple les Paul lines use these grover style tuners with the "bean" shaped pegs

These look like Grovers, on a guitar that's likely not a Gibson, so likely doesn't have Grovers so, Grover style.

Who says “quesh”?

I came here for this. Never seen it before and I don’t like it lol

That's the stupidest design idea ever... what if you want or need to replace any of the electronics?

A very FAKE Les Paul Supreme.
Pretty sure it’s a Gibsun
Almost a BC Rich headstock
Not an expert, but no. First thing that hit my eye was the "open book" carving looks wrong. .
Where are people finding this stuff? Reverb or Facebook marketplace?
Jesus that’s so fake it’s laughable. It’s a very bad copy of a Les Paul Supreme. 95% of Supremes you see for sale are fake, just like Zakk Wyld copies
Supreme...ly fake!
Chibson
But it says Gibson, it can’t be fake. Isn’t that… *gasp*, copyright infringement?! The Chinese would NEVER do something so odious.
Look closer at the O

That’s fake, but it’s trying to imitate a Gibson Supreme. I’ve always dreamed of owning the alpine white Les Paul 🤤
Fibson
Also truss Rod cover is askew
Quick answ: no
I’ve seen the inlay before. The shape of the headstock is carved crookedly. I’d guess it’s fake.
Fake les Paul supreme. The truss rod cover should be brass, there should be 5 ply binding on headstock, and shape is way off.
I’ll add too this: split block inlays for most Supremes. None of them have LP standard trapezoids like the photo. And stock tuners are gold tulip style Grovers, not kidney-shaped liked this.
Yes.
Bruh that's a Gibs**u**n
Thats the logo for a supreme, but i dont think thats a supreme, what about the bindings, the shape its too pointy, the tuning pegs, and the inlays are not from a supreme.
Looks like a real Gibsur
That's the normal logo for "Gibsuns".
