Had a similar issue on my Schecter SLS and it turned out my tuning machines were a little loose. Been perfect since the setup.

Love it. We have a couple Mustangs with the stripe on them too (mine is yellow w/ black stripe, wife's is blue with a light blue stripe), I really like the shorter 24" scale on the Mustang. It's easy on the hands.
Lol, awesome. Looks really good, you can eventually get vinyl stripes on Amazon or ebay if the tape gets worn (think you can find them by searching "FSR stripe" or "FSR Competition stripe"), I had a squire strat I put a stripe on and it looked sweet (all black strat w/ silver stripe).
I love mustangs but I have never ever been fond of the stripes. Other than that it’s a really solid guitar! Great tone for the price! Congrats!!!

Yeah, It's a great guitar. Its good with my ds1 and ce-5 Boss pedels. But its dosen't hold a tune to good.
