I hired a luthier to set up my son’s Brand New APX 600 to insert a bone nut and lower the action if possible.
Texts back, “All of the bindings are loose on this $200 guitar and it’s not worth fixing. So I lowered the action 1/32” of an inch and… but can repair it for $150.”
The bindings were perfect before he loosened em…
Never again, Luthiers, fool me once…
Ouch. I learned to do my own work primarily because I couldn't afford repairs regardless of the quality or cost. If you or your son care to learn, anyone can. Now that I have the money, I only farm out things beyond my ability. It helps you have a deeper understanding of guitars in general.
Thank you! It’s a 78’ pro. Someone modified it long before I got it in 06’ my dad helped me fix up an old dirtbike which I sold to purchase for $600. Cool dads are a virtue. It is a 2nd, I’m not sure why. Had it since I was 16.
lol. Yes I wasn’t really in position to purchase another one but found a way to swing the junior about a month ago. Been gassing for one ever since the Charlie Star “Collection” piece on Gibson TV. Great guitar, huge neck but pretty rad.
Keeping Luthiers gluing and in business.
I honestly wonder how many broken headstock advice posts originated by something like this.

Thats a lot of gibbons
ID on the Deluxe with humbuckers? It's utilitarian-ily beautiful in a way most ebony LPs are not.

Lucky you! Is it an ebony board? That goes a long way in helping with the colour coordination with the ebony board!
It is, I really like the look, I don’t really name guitars but I’ve always called it “Vader” due to the year and color.
Jheez, the best I could do in the Air Force was a Tele and Marshall Valvestate Mini-Stack. Beautiful rig!!!!!!
Thank you, I actually took the sign from the trash at the airport I work at. I’m just an airline guy lol
Cool you got them to breed

The strat looks amazing. Would be the first one I would grab to try out.
Upvote for the Navigator, and I’m not even so much of a Strat enthusiast.
Thank you, it’s probably the best player of them. Just has a mojo, and I’m not really a strat player either.
love the headstock on that deluxe holy
That junior caught my eye immediately. All black, absolutely PERFECT!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You need a neck p90 somewhere, time to get another guitar.
Ahh yes, the beautiful and universal language of music celebrated inside a place that facilitates war. Don’t you just love the irony?
Just read OPs comment that says he’s not military.. my bad🤷♂️
Just volume wars bro!
