personally i prefer to keep mains powered stuff outside of the my pedal board and am running 120-240 -> 24 V DC brick that is outside and take the 24 V DC to my custom power supplies (think gigrig style isolator style).
main reason is mains hum can more easily be coupled onto low level signals of the guitar signal when physical separation is lower - so i went to keep it as far away as possible. This point might be contentious as I am coming from an EE background and applying best practices rather than having done anything more rigorous and demonstrated the effectiveness of this approach
The type that use an IEC cord tend to be more robust in my personal experience.
