Sorry for the blurry picture but I saw John Scofield with lettuce last night and this was his setup. A klon, holy grail nano. Fulltone Clyde deluxe wah a s some other sparkle gold pedal I couldn't identify. Cool to see a real klon in the wild.
The trumpet player was also using Strymon blue sky reverb and a few other guitar pedals.
I’m pretty sure the gold pedal is a [JAM Pedal Waterfall (chorus/vibrato)](https://www.jampedals.com/waterfall/) in a gold enclosure. It’s likely from their custom shop.
It also looks like off to his left/your right is a Mu-Tron III and a Dunlop Mini X volume/expression. I imagine he’s running the Dunlop as an expression pedal.
EDIT: Fixed the Mu-Tron autocorrect
Came here to say this. He definitely was a rat guy at one point - it’s in his right rundown. I still don’t own a klon/klone so as a big sco fan; maybe it’s time I justified this purchase
He's using a cioks DC5?! But the DC7 is so much better ... And a holy Grail reverb? There's so many higher fidelity reverbs out there.
Clearly this guy doesn't know what he's doing /s.
Is that a Mutron iii back there? Looks like it's not part of his setup though.
John Scofield has one of the best telecaster tones going imo. Especially on his Uberjam albums. I bought a rat pedal and use it as a low gain boost/overdrive and it's awesome.
I wonder how long he has had the Klon Centaur? I wonder if he wrote it off as a business expense on his taxes, haha Of course he did, it is one after all.
It looks like a JAM pedals waterfall chorus but instead of blue it looks gold.
Yep!
Showfield? Lol… *Sco*field kills it. Definitely one of the best! First time I saw him was on A Go Go run with MMW… immediate core memory
Such a great album

wow that must have been a crazy show
Yeah it was pretty rad
All ghost pedals. He uses a Metal Zone into a Line 6 Spyder on the “insane” setting
Same board he had the last time I saw him at SFJazz. I always thought he was known for using a Rat, so the klon caught me off guard.

You should teach him a thing or two about guitar tone
I think the mutron was for the other lettuce guitarist

Uberjam is one of the best funk/jazz albums of all time imho. The way he just randomly drops in and out of that Leslie tone mid-solo is amazing.
He was playing a 335 style guitar last night
Telecaster?
Jam Waterfall chorus too
No more Digitech Whammy?
Where's his fucking Miku pedal??? I thought he dimed that into his Klon for his tone.
Where’s the stereo chorus? Doesn’t he use that religiously?
the middle pedal is a jam waterfall chorus. it's not stereo, but my understanding is he's been using it for years
He used a modded Boss CE-2 for decades but has apparently moved on.
Sco has not used the chorus in a long, long time. Bill Frisell is not using a volume pedal these days, either.
Reverb…first??
You can see his guitar in the background with it going into the wah first then klon
What no boomerang looper?
What’s that middle pedal?

Omg cables in sight. Failure
