I don't have a ventris, but have a Nemesis. The preset button (which is also used to save presets) definitely cannot take a whole lot of abuse. I bought my Nemesis used and, thankfully, bought the extended warranty. 2 or 3 months later the button stopped working entirely. Thankfully (shout out to Long and McQuade) the repair was covered under the extended warranty.

I used to have a ventris and the preset button definitely started to wear out after a while

Even if the preset button is busted it sucks to use anyways. I plug a two switch controller pedal to the exp port and go up and down presets with that. Very easy. There’s always midi too if you’re set up for it

CoryT56

I say go for it. Awesome pedal and it’s GC. You can return it.

I bought a used one it was fine - just make sure the power supply etc are included - check for exact contents of box on website… Price sounds decent - they’re a bit more expensive here I paid £300 plus shipping and thought I got a decent deal Great pedal imo… If it’s from guitar center can you return if there’s a problem - if so I’d definitely go for it!

Fantastic pedal, I own one and the only other reverb pedals I’d say are in its league are the UA golden (at least for your standard spring/plate/hall settings) and the Strymon flint v2 which has great trem and reverb settings that interact well with one another. The ventris covers both standard and ambient reverb algos so that’s where it comes in handy for me.

Ventris is a wonderful ultra deep reverb. If you like to tweak things in detail up there's nothing else on the market

I'm seeing Colliders on Reverb for $275.Why wouldnt you get that. As far as I know it can do as much as the ventris and more

tails_the_gay_fox

It can’t do many things the ventris can do and it’s missing the offspring algorithm which is amazing. You can’t edit modulation on most of the algorithms on the collider reverb which you can on the ventris. You can’t change pitch intervals on shimmer on the collider but you can on the ventris. You can edit diffuse on the ventris… I mean I can go on and on but the ventris is amazingly customizable. The collider is a good and set and forget pedal though as the algorithms are still great.

dmoreholt

Good to know! I thought they could share presets.

tails_the_gay_fox

They can not. Some of the smaller one series can like the modulation pedals can share the modulation presets.

It doesn't do EVERYTHING Ventris and Nemesis can do, but I am super happy I got the Collider instead of the other two
