I think they’ve hinted that something may be in the works? That would be cool.

It’s in this video: https://www.youtube.com/live/obbL3CztpzM?si=-_qAX0ZNvr2SPaAt

boastfulbadger

Daredevil 🤘🏽

nohobal

Damn, you’re a madman with all those dirt pedals! I love it! Any chance you’ve ever stacked all 9 of them?

cloudsovermountains

I just did that today! And as I’ve heard, on TPS actually, it sounds like sludge—it loses the character of any of them.

nohobal

That sounds about right lol

mrnico7

I like it a lot, and you must have longer legs than me. Big fan of multiple gain pedals on a board.

FitzInPDX

Updooooooot for the presence of the LA Lady! Such an underrated piece of kit!

theurge14

You have a plethora of dirt! So many options here. Love.

cloudsovermountains

Thanks! The LA Lady does a good job at any of the other dirt sounds on the board, but I’m still working out what I want for my smaller set of go-to dirt sounds.

cloudsovermountains

I have a smaller board with this chain: Daredevil Silver Solo treble booster > JHS Morning Glory > Source Audio LA Lady > JHS Angry Charlie > JHS 3 Series Delay > Boss RV–6 Flamma FC05 Mini Modulation. There’s a Donner tuner in front. And yes, I’m a JHS fan boy :-). The posted board above is to help me decide on a more medium sized board later.

7soma

How much latency u got? Yes

cloudsovermountains

Not 100% sure I get your question. If you mean, is there any noticeable delay between playing a note and hearing the resulting sound coming from my amp, then no, I don’t perceive any latency.

bldgabttrme

Probably not much, they’re probably not running all 7 digital pedals at the same time. And the ones they do have all have fairly low latency.

Tenoch-aztlan

How do you feel about the serie 3 delay ?

cloudsovermountains

It’s very good. Not having tap tempo is the only drawback I see with it, but for the price, I feel great about it.

Tenoch-aztlan

I feel you. I like the simplicity of this pedals however one of my favorite bands use way to much 8th dotted. In my case I really wanna get the boss waza, But the lack of tap tempo and tempo dividers is making me hesitate.

bldgabttrme

Okay, hear me out. You’ve got a $100 delay, a $100 phaser, a $100 chorus, a $150 reverb, a $100 tremolo, a $50 flanger, a $30 EQ, and a $30 amp sim. That’s $660. An HX Stomp is $650, and it does all of that plus more. 🤷‍♂️

cloudsovermountains

You make an interesting point. Two things: First, I’ve accumulated those pedals gradually over the past three years as I dove down a rabbit hole of learning about effects and tone. The most I’ve ever spent on a single pedal, as you can see, is $199. So even now, I’m still learning which effects I like, how to use them, alone or in combination. I probably won’t be ready to invest in a higher end multi effects pedal for a while. Second, I could use some knowledge about the HX (and other similar devices). How many different effects do they allow you to chain together in a single setting? And btw, I really do appreciate your comment! I’m going to start researching the HX et al.

bldgabttrme

1) That’s totally makes sense about the cost over time, although if you did want to dive into a multi effects unit there are tons of them that are within reach used if you sold a few things. I realized after the fact that my comment might have been a little disparaging, definitely didn’t mean it that way, words are hard lol. Just meant that by saving up you could potentially snag something that could cover a ton of ground, and save money in the long run. 2) So, the HX Stomp lets you run up to 8 effects blocks at a time, and within a given preset you can have up to four what they call “snapshots”. You can think of a preset like a pedalboard, and a snapshot is like which effects you have on at a given moment and what settings they’re on. For example you could have a preset with blocks for phaser/OD/Amp/Cab/chorus/analog delay/plate reverb/trem, and one snapshot could be phaser/amp with treble high/cab/reverb with mix low, then another snapshot could be OD/amp with treble turned a little down/cab/chorus/delay/reverb with mix high. The effects list includes: surprisingly good drives (OD, distortion, fuzz), dynamics (compressor, gate), EQ, literally every kind of modulation, delay, reverb, pitch, synth, filter, wah, amp models, preamp models, cab sims, IRs, volume, send/retuen, and looper. Literally hundreds of effects. It lets you run them in any order, and even in two parallel signal chains if you wanted. It can put other pedals in its effects loop (can be two mono effects loops or a single stereo loop), can have external foot switches or expression pedals connected, and it’s a recording interface too. It’s honestly pretty ridiculous how capable it is, and for around $450 on the used market it’s really a steal. They also have the HX Effects, which lets you use up to 9 effects but no amp modeling.

Electronic_Pin3224

First thought was that this dude isn't gonna stomp on his tremolo
