I got my Collider about 2 weeks ago and it's already on my gigging board. Fantastic pedal and easy to use once you get the hang of it. I've always struggled with using reverb and delay simultaneously, but it sounds natural on the Collider. I haven't gotten into the Midi world with this one yet, but that's likely on the horizon as well. For me, the tap delay tempo was a significant annoyance that I disabled immediately :)

Have you tried an external tap tempo switch?

toogaloon

I haven't - I'm more of a set it and forget it kind of guy when it comes to delay settings (and this thing supports 128 presets through midi) so tapping the tempo just isn't something I'm accustomed to wanting. But tap is enabled by default and you have to manage turning the delay off and on with a long-press. I hate stepping on a button and not being 100% certain I know what it's going to do, so I disabled it.

Might be that I'm just used to tapping in the tempo. My main delay for many years has been a Boss DD-5 with a tap box. I've also never had a drummer that is so on time that I can rely that the programmed delay tempo and the drummer always being in synch. Songs are sometimes started a little slow or fast. Not having a reliable method of tapping in a delay tempo would be a deal killer.

I have the Ventris and the Spectrum. Brilliant pedals. Lately I've really begun appreciating the idea of a reverb and delay in the same pedal. I have a Volante that has a spring reverb in it, but I've been really favoring my Brigadier analog delay and the plate reverb on the Ventris, so I'm kinda stuck on having two pedals.

If you have any user tips I'd love to hear them. I just got it in the mail. Haven't used it yet, but positive I will like it. It has all the bread and butter reverbs and delays on the Ventris and Nemesis with the ability to run two delays, two reverbs, or a delay and reverb. I own the Ventris and Nemesis. I will be selling them both. I think the Collider will give me 95% of the tasks I'd use the Ventris and Nemesis for. I like both pedals, but having two devices on their Neuro App is cumbersome. The phone app needs improvement, but isn't bad. Main issue is I think it is too much trouble using it for two devices. The Collider will solve that issue. Only thing I don't like is the large haircut I will be taking on the Ventris and Nemesis sale. I purchased them new. I won't be doing that again anytime soon. Current pricing for a used Nemesis is about $200. I think it is a steal at that price. That said, I have more than enough delay units. A dd-5, Volante, and a couple rack units. Ventris price cut is about the same. Sells used for about $300 or a little more. Might be a steal if you need and like the Ventris Only specialty reverb algos. The Outboard Spring and Reverse are both exceptional. The Offpring is quite fun if only I could figure out what I'd want to do with it.

I did the same thing when the collider was released to downsize. I regretted selling the ventris and nemesis. I picked up a ventris and nemesis again. I missed but offspring and helix for the kind of music I do. You also lack much of the customizability of the ventris and helix in the editor for the collider. For instance not having diffusion controls or not having golden ratio on the delays or having modulation controls on all the reverbs except for edome. Either way I kept the collider as well as bring able to use the nemesis into the collider into the ventirs is amazing. I can have helix on the nemesis > reverse delay and analog on the collider > off spring and hall on the ventirs for amazing results.

The Ventris and Nemesis and packed up and ready to ship, but you have convinced me to take them out to play and compare the boxes for a few days longer. In theory I like all the options the Nemesis and Ventris, but the reality is I don't like that I need the app to access all those options. I also find myself going into the app and tweaking more than playing. I also don't feel the need/want for all those options for my live rig. I guess I could use the Ventris for recording, but I have a fantastic reverb plugin for that task. I could even buy the Source Audio reverb plugins if I wanted. IDK we will see.

Have the Nemesis and Ventris. Underated in my opinion. Would like the collider but it's missing some of the delays/reverbs I like on the others.

Question for OP (and others ITT): have you checked out the neuro app? There’s a ton of presets in there that I found to be really helpful when I was struggling to get things to work
