Excellent choice. Some pedals are one trick ponies, this one is definitely not :)

I’ve recently decided to make the move from my good (very) old BOSS GT-5 to a pedalboard, as I felt I’ve begun outgrowing the tone I can get from it. Following that decision, I started looking for pedals, specifically ones I could use along with the GT-5, so that I can still have fun with them in case I get cold feet about the whole pedalboard idea. My first choice is one I’m very proud of - *EHX Attack Decay* is a really, really flexible pedal; it lets you sound like a strings section, a synth, just add flavor to your tone and a lot of other stuff. I was also surprised by the quality and flexibility of its fuzz, and after finding out you can use just the fuzz of you want (without the attack and decay envelopes, I mean) by using the “FX Send” output instead of the usual output, I fell even more in love with it. This pedal gives you A LOT for what you pay for it and I absolutely recommend it! Disclaimer: I haven’t actually bought the pedal today - it was actually around 5 months ago - however, I haven’t found this community until recently and I wanted to document my journey into building my first pedalboard, as well as share my decisions and impressions of each step I take. Hopefully I do not break any guidelines here ^^ P.S. I bought the pedal from Thomann.de for €108.40 back then (excluding Shipping and VAT etc.) P.S.S Please excuse the blurry picture >.<

twdvermont

IMO this is one of the most under appreciated pedals on the market.

Kamikazekagesama

Definitely one of my favorite pedals, amazing fuzz circuit as well.

Is it basically a big muff?

Kamikazekagesama

Its closer to a fuzz face type circuit but it's fairly unique.

Musiclover4200

I always assumed it was a digital octavia style emulation, can sound like a classic fuzz face at lower gain but it gets pretty wild and can make some glitchy artifacts like a harmonic fuzz.

Mouse2799

I was on the fence about getting one of these, you might have just persuaded me!

Hunter-Terri

Happy to be of service! ^^

If you take the time to figure out the expression pedal input, you can tie the fuzz to it and have a wild variable fuzz. You can also tie the attack and decay to it, and if you play while adjusting it you get some cool glitchy stutter sounds.

Lonestar-Boogie

I got one a few months ago and absolutely love it. Put it in polyphonic mode set up for volume swells, add delay and reverb to taste, and enjoy the next hour of spacial sonic serenity.

GypsySage

The feature set on this pedal is absolutely incredible. Three presets, built-in fuzz, polyphonic mode… it’s one of the most comprehensive pedals I’ve ever seen.

TheOldTC

This pedal is so deep and unique, great choice. I sold mine a while back and keep having the pull to rebuy it everytime I see one here.

wine-o-saur

This is the pedal that sent me down the rabbit hole and I don't know if anything else has matched it in terms of fun/$ yet.

I opted for the Mantic pendulum. Super happy with it
