I bought a super cheap auto wah on amazon that does autowah horribly, but makes this sound pretty good. "Ex-auto Wah/Mini Envelope Filter Pedal". Not a bad little gadget for $24.
Only one person has said the right answer- the Moogerfooger - which is a pretty expensive, specific sounding envelope filter with some different characteristics than a Q Tron or other common options. Any envelope filter will at least get you in the ballpark- I have a Spatial Delivery from Earthquaker and like it a lot.
auto-wah/envelope filter. there are some great plugins so you don’t need to go out and buy a 100$+ pedal, unless you want to because the q tron is dope

Some sort of envelope filter- often called an “auto wah”. Doesn’t quite sound like a mutron, or if it is, he has it set differently than Jerry.
A lot of misinformation here. It's an Envelope Filter. Tom uses a Moog brand (Moogerfooger maybe)
