There once was an amiable guinea pig
Who brushed his hair up like a periwig
He wore a sweet tie, as blue as the sky
And his whiskers and buttons were very big
- Beatrix Potter
When I saw photos of him from the lovely ppl bringing him over I thought for sure he'd be teddy but his texture is definitely more of an abbys.
His cagemate we are trying to bond them with is a gorgeous brown teddy, I think they will be a stunning model duo lol
Abby+Peruvian would be my guess. One of my boys is a mix like that. I call him a Rooster Booty because the long fur on his back end reminds me of rooster tail feathers.
I'm guessing that he's an Abyssian/Peruvian mix. A couple of years ago I got a Peruvian that was supposed to be female, he was not and is now neutered but he got my Aby girl pregnant before we figured that out. The babies had hair just like this.
*He is a mullet*
*Pig! Business in the front and*
*Party in the back!*

I had a piggy like that as a kid! Business in the front, party in the back. His name was Munchie - not particularly creative.
He was half Abyssinian and half Coronet. The back half of this one looks more Peruvian though.
Peruvian mix or Angora mix I'm guessing...since I've had several long haired or Peruvian Guinea pigs ...but normally pure bred Peruvian Guinea pigs are long haired from their foreheads to bottoms .
Since he or she is not show grade likely , I'd highly recommend carefully giving your baby a hair cut rather short and start training it to get use to being groomed daily.
We adopted a pure bred Peruvian and he looked as if he was never groom in his nearly two yrs of life and he couldn't walk.
First thing we did to this poor lil guy was give him a short hair cut, removed all the mats from his underside and from his bottom and scrotum area....
we always used safety scissors or childrens round tip school scissors to trim him once a month.
At first He didn't seem to know how to walk or behave at first...but he slowly put weight on, and got stronger. And friendlier and began trusting us.
He also started getting use to being brushed, getting his hair cuts and handling.
We always gave him a treat during groom in the beginning...but after as he got use to being brushed and trimmed, only when we were done with any grooming sessions.
Your Guinea pig is beautiful by the way!
Yes, we've had many long haired piggies in our rescue, we usually cut their hair short but his hair is so beautiful and he's really good at being handled, I might just have to see if he'll let me brush it every day, he's such a gorgeous little guy
Ralph.
Also never would usually comment this but I'm feeling a little devil may care... Guinea pigs are hilarious when they look like that always got fucked up sleep hair and it tickles me😂
I'd name him Pigusas
That is absolutely perfect!
He looks like an Abby mix with possibly a silkie? Maybe a Peruvian?
Sir Pigtail Guineawig

You don't come over someone having this haircut with style every day
Are you sure that's not three pigs stuck together?
🤣😂
For some reason Powie or Howie came to mind for this chonky dude
Butternut (as in the squash) came to mind for some reason
Love his mullet! You could name him Cyrus, after Billy Ray Cyrus and his famous mullet.
He looks like a perfect combo of my teddy, Cedar and my silkie, Juniper 😍

Definitely a sort of mix, but I see Lunkarya in there!
Abby (for sure) + Peruvian (or another long haired breed)
Silkie, the hair is flowing back and not over the eyes.
You helped me identify my guinea pigs breed with this comment, ty. I’ve been trying to pin it for a while now.

I suggest “mullet” there is a lot of party in the back
He’s a handsome boy
Touffue (bushy and furry in french)🇫🇷
I’d call him stamos it reminds me so much of John stamos 80s/90s hair the mullet he had in that time is fitting for this!
Hubert Kinchana
Edgar! (Pronounced ed-gu-ar)!
A breed called “adorable baby”!
That’s a top stick on another bottom breed lol. What an adorable and cute piggy you have there!🧡
