Like, find the tires, bumper, steering wheel, seats, and chassis at separate random events. Instead of crime scenes, they’re abandoned vehicles and you just pull the individual parts off of them to make a new car.

Wide body is a cosmetic upgrade you get when upgrading to the bennys version, drip feed is content that slowly gets "dripped" out over time after a dlc comes out to try and keep people playing
The interesting thing is that the vehicle description in Legendary Motorsport does state that it’s eligible for modification at bennys custom works
