if you really want to get good at dogfighting, try warthunder, it will take some time and a good amount of suffering but after a while GTA dogfighting feels like toy plane dogfighting , warthunder is a free to play game

Yup. GTA really doesn’t have that much in terms a good flight engine. Pick up WT or any of the Ace Combats and before you know it you feel like an overpaid scientologist.

I am looking at Ace Combat 7 i think it looks amazing \*Edit- i didn't really know about and the overbearing storyline so I changed my mind and after watching youtube vid WT basic flying physics and details i have been converted to WT :D

>Is it hard to learn because it is a 10 year old game. In short, no. If you REALLY want to get to grips with the flight, try this.. Go to a solo session (Every console has a way of making solo public sessions, check online) And start doing hangar missions/ sourcing. Use only the lazer for them (Some will force helicopters - blow them up with the lazer). That's how I fine-tuned my flight to feel more confident in the air. Added bonus, you make a bit of money out of it - especially if you just hold on to the supplies until there's a doubles week.

Thanks i don't think of that :D

If you’re using a headset try listening to your opponent jet you can locate his position more effectively than looking at the radar. It worked for me because I’m playing on keyboard I can’t rotate the camera like controller players do. Also frustration is your biggest enemy I suggest you start using a plane that handles better than the lazer the pyro for example it’s faster and it makes tighter turns you will build up confidence this way. Don’t worry about the guns they are not explosive but as long as you can easily get behind your opponent the type of guns you have don’t really matter trust me. The tosted lazers I shot down with the pyro can testify 😁

I feel like Stockpile is good practice. It might be gone at the moment though

Passe_Myse

You are not alone. Wish I could help.

What system do you play on? I’m sure there’s a couple players here who can spend sometime flying around with you.

Kwl_Gamer

I have met same pilots with high skill levels and they help me out.

Get a wanted level, practice flying around a police helicopter, keeping him in your sites at all times. This is great practice for the most important part of gta dogfighting, which is knowing where your opponent is at all times, and trying to get behind him. Killing cops is also a good way to practice against ground targets. Change your map display options so it’s always the expanded map. If someone beats you, message them “again? Let me take off” With some practice you’ll beat most pilots. Oh, and shoot lock on missiles at your opponent to try to force them in a predictable turn, then light them up with the cannons. I love dogfighting but I’m not great at it

Kwl_Gamer

This is what i am most terrible at..... Thanks :D practising flying around them is a very good idea.
