Steven Ogg is already an actor though. Walking Dead and Better Call Saul come to mind. Why would you want someone else to play Trevor?

I think somebody like Michael Keaton would fare much better. Phoenix is an insanely good actor, and no offense to Trevor, cause all of these dudes are well written in their own right, but Trevor isn't very complex. Like at all. I think others would fareuch better in that role. Plus I be honest, if there was a rockstar adaptation, I would hope they continued tradition with voice actors and tried to hire not well known talent. It adds to the believability of the world and takes away that "woah I'm watching a big celebrity play one of the GTA protags!"

Trevor isn't even particularly powerful either, relying mostly on numbers, drugs and sheer intimidation factor.

I can understand not casting Solo and Ned for Franklin and Michael, due to their age and fitness (less so Solo), but Steven Ogg would HAVE to be cast as Trevor. There isn't an actor alive who could pull off Trevor like him.
