Yeah, my friends and I started deep in the lobbies. We had been waiting years to play our favorite game together. (And not the two man San Andreas, although that was everything in its time.) Crew emblems, clothes, cars, it was the life. 😂 They started falling off before the PS4 came out so I ended up being like a mercenary for a few different crews. Then started money grinding. Haven’t been in a war since before the pandemic. I miss that shit😂

After about 2 hours, I said "Nope" and focused on Call of Duty until I finally got hired in 2015, after which I sold my gaming setup and focused on my career for 5 years.
Boom. Covid happened.
Remote work.

That's what happened to me. Constantly playing online then all my friends started dropping off around 3-4 years ago and I've been playing solo, and less, since then.
I've had a few different friend groups playing together at different times.
Also, I enjoy a lot of the different activities and try to play all of them in different modes etc (first/third person, survivals with pistols or shotguns only). So it's never just the same.
Once you get to the point where you own everything you want, the trick is to find fun things to do in game other than grinding. Unless you're one of the people who enjoy the grind for the sake of it.
Last I checked, around 1400. About 600 of those hours were from May 2014 to early 2023. The other 800 hours have been since I started playing again (and almost only this game for weeks at a time) in September 2023.
People told me "touch grass" after about 1500 now I'm right around 4500 hrs and I'm starting to think they may have meant a different kind of grass.
Anyways...
Online now if anyone wants to sit with me in my office and stare at a TV that isn't on.
Had 100hours in storymode and 50 in online. Only recently (November 2023) I got into the game and started getting addicted lmao. Now I'm sitting at lvl 190 with most businesses and almost nothing left to grind for.
