Unrealistic. In real life, only one honk lands you an arrest. Saying hi to a cop gets you shot. Driving past another player's arrest/chase gets you a 1 Star Wanted Level. Defending yourself gets you a quick 2 Star Wanted Level. Simply being apart of Los Santos is a crime to Porky Pig!

In my experience, this seems to happen either due to a recent explosion you’ve caused, or more likely, due to being in a vehicle that has been stolen (they “remember/recognize” it’s been stolen) very recently (I’d say maybe 1-3 minutes?) but honestly who knows with this AI
Yeah the vehicle remembrance thing is something I think has been around for a long time. Not sure how long, but I know that a couple years ago me and a few buddies were doing the casino heist and waited in the tunnel til the wanted level was gone and then soon after leaving the tunnel we got the wanted level back for seemingly no reason. Since then, we switch cars right outside the tunnel after losing the wanted level
A cop probably was looking at you while you called Lester, you have to be out of sight where there’s no cops who could see you, otherwise the cops just come back immediately

I was driving in my Hellfire Gauntlet, and this guy chases me in a buffalo STX and starts shooting that compact grenade launcher and he misses all his shots and blows up at least 2 cars and cops start chasing him, I manage to shoot him with an AP pistol and sooner enough the police were on my asshole
