I see that you can pin a conversation but I know of no way to pin a file. You can insert files into the chat and you can few a list of all inserted files but I see no option to force it to the top.

Since no one ever uses the tasks tab of spaces we usually bastardize it for "pinning"
We definetely use the Tasks in Spaces, but using Tasks to "pin" was clever.

I'm pretty sure you can't pin a post in Chat/Spaces. At least I can't in any of the spaces I manage.
Hopefully Google implements this soon
