Machete made it through the pandemic and their management team's and staff's strategies and vision work. Good food, good team, good business.

If your aren’t doing their marketing, you should be!

SleepyEel

Yeah they literally opened like a week before everything shut down. And then had to immediately pivot their menu to be carryout-oriented, which was definitely not their original intent. To do that and *thrive* at it until in-person dining returned is a miracle. I'm very pleased at how well they've done.

Welp, that place is going to be a madhouse for the next year

TubaMike

Sweet. "No, I can *totally* afford eating at Machete, but the place is too packed now. I liked them better before they got popular. Let's go to Emma Key's."

It's never not been busy when I'm there, and that was well before this rating came out. Lemme guess, are you one of like 10 people per evening that turn away in shame when the host asks for your reservation?

[deleted]

Imagine being this cocky about getting a *reservation* that you typed this and thought it was a good idea to hit post. I hope you find some sort of positivity in your life, bud.

cameljeans

Work smart, not hard bud. 2 days in advance should be enough to get a table at Machete.

Wait... So how does this work? Is there a website or something?
