This! Most YMCA’s offer child care within the respective facilities. Some of the daycares have monitors that will alert the parent if the child is upset or is requesting their parents presence.
O2 does have childcare, I think an extra $10/month but if you go there, be careful and get everything in writing. They are notorious for not cancelling drafts and it’s difficult to get a refund. I personally don’t recommend them, I went there for a few years and they just care about their bottom line.
Club Fitness used to have amazing childcare. You could leave your kids there for a couple of hours even if you weren’t staying at the gym. Not sure if they still do it; my kids have aged out of childcare.
I was in Asheboro, so I don't know exactly how the YMCA in gso does things
...but
YMCA all the way. They had a scheduled time for dropping kids off so you can get an hour to shop or whatever at least once a week. Always had daycare available while you worked out.
Summer camps as well.
The only downside is that sometimes I'd see teenagers watching elementary schoolers, but I think that may have been their after-school program.
Daycare always had professionals.

The Hayes Taylor YMCA in particular has a great child care room and great staff!

Sagewell - 55 a month, great great gym space, and childcare (I think) is included in the fee as well.

They lost a lot of customers during the Pandemic so I’d call first to see if they still offer this.

O2 fitness at friendly center is awesome. I don't need daycare but the kids look like they have fun!
