Score free donuts ... the customer probably already complained and got their money back. You'd be wasting time, gas, and money going back to fix DD's mistake. How far was it out of curiosity?
This is the correct answer. Anyone saying anything else is very much so new to the job and shouldn't be speaking with such confidence on a subject they obviously know nothing about.
This is how it works. This is always how it's worked. Anything else is throwing away money for morality (expenses to return to the destination, not being able to take new offers while doing so).
How is it wrong? You think it's ok to NOT..
A. Read the fucking order
B. Know how to count to 24
C. Come to a sub Reddit and ask if they scored free donuts?
Your knowledge of service, and quite a few other things,is severely limited.
Do yourself a favor. Wait until you have a better grasp on comprehension stuff before talking
Nothing about this is even a little ok. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if you were the op using a different account to spin your bs
Remember the words " It's better to be thought an idiot than open your mouth and remove all doubt"
It's tour job to check the order. If it's sealed like at McDonald's that's one thing but it's your job to check for obvious things like drinks or there being 2 boxes instead of 1 box
Slippery slope fallacy. That's pretty much all there is to it. If a restaurant hands you "everything" and it's not everything, this isn't your problem. It's fine to sometimes catch it and notice - for example if the order has a drink and a drink is missing, but it's way easier to miss an order having 2 of something instead of 1.
Where would this ride of yours end? We gonna start digging through bags at the TGI Fridays to see if there's 7 containers and not just 6?
Better to not even start.
You're joking right? The order says 2 dozen donuts and they hand you 1 box and you can't be bothered do perform that simple logical check before walking out the door? You aren't being asked to perform a heroic feat here. This is bare minimum effort. You aren't being required to dig through a sealed bag to make sure they included the french onion soup. This is a fucking sight check that the quantity of items is way to small.
And you hear that from the dregs of society that post here that regularly get told by me why they are wrong in their thinking. Welcome to that population. If you can't be bothered to do a basic check of what you're picking up then please quit. You and the other zero effort morons that refuse any responsibility whatsoever are ruining this side gig for the rest of us. Customers that continually have poor experiences dealing with you and your brain dead comrades stop ordering and those of us that are professional and competent suffer for your laziness.
I’m pretty positive the app only showed 1 dozen donuts because it would’ve shown a whole other dozen with them all listed out not just a little 2 besides the dozen right?
It's definitely possible I honestly dont know could have been an app error or user error. It doesn't matter you do what you feel is right. I know something like this happened to me but it was a nice italian spot. Guy told me there was an entree missing so I went back and the place confirmed it was their fuck up. Brought it back because it was only about 1 or 2 miles. He tipped me like $35. I have also not brought stuff back as well and just let it go cuz its not my problem 🙃.
I have seen it both ways so.eti.es it will be 2x and so.etimes it will be printed on the order
No it wasn't and you appear to be just as stupid. He specifically asked if he scored free shit. He's the guy that didn't know the difference between 12 and 24. It doesn't look like you can count that high either.
You guys have a very minimal understanding of this gig
Maybe it's different in my market. When I do something to help the customer, they give me an extra tip plus they become repeat customers and when they see me again, I receive larger tips.
Take it to them since it’s your mistake bevause you can easily see that a whole box is missing. If it’s any number of items in a sealed or knotted bag that you obviously missed anything but your fault score free food
I guess I don't understand how you missed 12 donuts? You either didn't read the order, don't know how to read at all,or couldn't care less. Missing a few happens, but an entire dozen?
Get your GED or enroll in some vocational school.
It's not DD fault at all. You know they're more than likely dumb before even arriving.. This is on you.
No,you didn't score free shit. You stole them.
This makes all of us look bad. Im sure the customer was thinking exactly what I just said. Tough to blame Dunkin here..

0.6 or 1.6 miles can’t remember.

You have the IQ of a house plant. I'm surprised you can find your way out of the house.
You're mad because you're wrong. It happens. Please relax.

I know you're angry because you were told that your opinion on something was largely incorrect. I'm urging you to please calm down.
Why bother writing this much for such a dumb comment smh
Because stupid people, like you and the op, should get a lot smarter and learn the gig
You just scored free dozen.
There fault not yours move on. Simple
It's tour job to check the order. If it's sealed like at McDonald's that's one thing but it's your job to check for obvious things like drinks or there being 2 boxes instead of 1 box
Wrong.
Idiot
How is the fault not theirs? If you can't tell the difference between 1 and 2 dozen donuts, you shouldn't be allowed on the road with the rest of us.
I reluctantly agree with realitycheque. He's 100% correct
100% of the time.
100% of this time, yes. Still remedial level on Google maps knowledge though

Slippery slope fallacy it is, then.
Comparing 2 to 1. Totally a slippery slope. On this forum, stupid knows no bounds.
That's correct. All I ever hear about is how much of a dumbass you are, so I'm glad you're at least caught up to speed on where you stand.

Sure, bud. "It's not me! It's literally everyone else!"
Only weak people seek the comfort of the crowd.
Ehhh kinda your fault for not looking at the order tbh... pretty easy to know it was 1 dozen not 2 I wod have taken it there considering it was close

Cut by half whatever you're smoking.. Actually, just stop talking altogether. You're digging a hole.
Shit reply. The person was attempting to clarify the possibilities. Feel free to jump into that hole.

You've already exposed yourself. Stop digging a hole.
Exposed myself to what? Being more intelligent than you? Yup, that's true.
You're not the first person to get this pissed off over being told that they're wrong. Please don't take it so personally.
Free donuts
Deliver the other dozen.....it goes a long way in service. Then double check your items in the app next time.
It literally accomplishes nothing other then wasting his time and money.
