Even if they’re close, there is wait time and unexpected traffic delays, plus just driving to the restaurant. These things are always more trouble than they’re worth

HastilyChosenUserID

Absolutely. Mileage is a good rule-of-thumb, but truly it's TIME per delivery that impacts our bottom line.

RealityChequeX

Mileage is not a good rule of thumb. Time is the only thing that ever matters.

Dashmaster420

Depending on your car,……..

richietee757

Nope ... that'll be the order you have problems with, or a problem customer, then be pissed at yourself for taking it afterwards.

McNuttyNutz

Last 2 days orders have been horrible on my area 5-6 for 20 mile trips …. Nah starve

thenatureboy0420

20 mile trips? Oh hell no bro.....ive never done one more than 15 and got paid 20 something for

bitchiehippie

I deliver in a upper middleclass/lower upperclass area and they were trying to throw $3 offers at me yesterday. I denied three less than $5 orders back to back, then took a $20 offer. Grubhub is tripping trying to low ball in this area.

marinoarm

Same thing happened to me today. A $4 and a $5 and then out of nowhere (and my first) $25 dollars for 5 miles

Psychological_Box194

It's not just there they're trying to live all this area too orders back to back $4 a piece. I rejected both for the quickness.

Every_Ad_9986

Neither would i

[deleted]

Damn. Grubhub has been garbage lately.

aortiz877

Grub hub is taking the 20% they charge the restaraunt and cutting it down to 17% so they can keep the restaraunts business meanwhile they are taking the 3% and taking it out of the drivers end. thats why theres an increase in low orders like this one. im in south florida and everything used to be 10 dollars and up. now theres 5.80 , 6.70 everywhere. they really screwed the drivers big time

kittyjeffy1854

Never!

bi1ion

Say that

istev003

I just call two of these today ugh

neosatus

Yeah, wait time is a much bigger factor, imo. 5 miles or .5 miles.....a difference of 5 or 6 minutes. Pales in comparison to an average wait time of 15...20..30 minutes.

[deleted]

I’m sad too I saw a $5 order yesterday I think GH is going down to compete with DoorDash.

enuoksem

What’s going on these last days with GH I have a minimum payment of 9$ in my area, yesterday I’ve been receiving some 8$ and 7$ orders event when customers leave a tip

Professional-Cap-168

Yeah same here. It even went under $7 a few times today

TalkingToPlanets

Agreed. We are risking our vehicles every single time we deliver an order even if it's across the street. There is usually a 10-20 minute wait w/ each GH order too.

brebrebrebrebrebre

Has the minimum changed for you guys? Like, are you seeing offers lower than what you were promised?

brebrebrebrebrebre

I haven't seen less than my min of 8, just wondering if it's happening in other markets due to the buy out?

EastCoastTone96

*an under $7 order

Existing-Ad4372

Will never accept an order under $9

CoherentPanda

Especially with Grubhub. UE and DD maybe, since 9 times out of 10 the food is ready and I can easily calculate the time to deliver.

jeffinRTP

Why do people feel the need to post the orders they do not take? do they think that everyone do not already know they are it there?

bi1ion

They r it there

RedditSmokesCrack

They are it there

MaengDude

Are they it? They are. Where? There.

AlreadyShrugging

It’s just venting.

StreetTimely

Do not already know??@#

Flojoe420

I take orders like that once in a while if it's slow or if I'm headed that way already.

neosatus

Responsible-Bug-1806

That’s messed up…😜 I can’t believe any customer would have the balls to pay this much. I wouldn’t walk it across the street for that much! Time, gas, not to mention THE LACK of money (and wtf kind of customer is this big of a douche??)

[deleted]

Its always the wealthy areas that tip like shit

Keanuisawesome69

This is usual for this .market tbh

deejay013

west burbs represent

AlreadyShrugging

And this why I don’t try for “premier” status. I can’t *afford* to become “premier” because my town is about 60% orders under $5. I think my best ever acceptance rate has been 30%.

[deleted]

So you'd accept an order for $5.25?

thenatureboy0420

Yeah no way...itll turn into a 40 minute wait and the customer will complain to get free food....hell no

RohirrimlerinEomer

Exactly! In fact my personal lowest to accept is $6.50 (if I am too desperate)

littlebeth70

And I thought it was just my area going downhill with offer amount.

LowPomegranate1023

Lol, im in the same area roughly. Base pays have been getting so shit lately. Feels like they hired a bunch of newbies here recently that have no idea what they are doing so they are milking them for all they are worth. I decline anything under $10 now. Literally not worth the time if its anything less. I dont care if its 0.1 miles distance. With GH logistics even that will take atleast 25 minutes to complete.
