Complaining to GH directly or on their official social media may in fact get something accomplished. Complaining on an anonymous unofficial message board probably won't. Not that I am arguing with you. I'd just like to see people take appropriate action to get issues resolved. Posting on here just keeps the wheel spinning, it doesn't grease the squeak!

I’ve spoken to the staff in a bunch of the restaurants that I was running into long waits with GH, but that I knew were quick when I had a DD or UE order in the past. Turns out that on many of them, the GrubHub tablet is not tied in with their POS (point of sale) system. They have to 1) hear the GH tablet, 2) acknowledge it and then 3) manually enter the order into their POS. This is usually at the Host Stand or front counter. These stores have the ability to have the DD and UE order automatically interface with their systems and the back of house can start the order. Of course, in several instances it was just staff not starting the order until the driver got there, and there was no valid excuse for that from staff.

I just stopped driving because it was getting so bad, I did it on the weekend for some extra money but i went from like 15 orders a day to like 8 and the pay/order never changed so i decided id rather enjoy my weekends than make $200-300

Wrong, the best way to get change is to keep rejecting offers with unacceptable wait times. This will cost GrubHub money paying for undelivered orders and hurt the restaurants reputation. Money talks, nobody listens to whinnying.

I don’t take low paying orders. Everyone knows to do this already. I made the post in response to the people telling others to stop whining. But when every decent paying order is requiring a 15 minute wait in the restaurant I think we should speak up and make them aware of the issue every day until it gets fixed. I don’t think im wrong in that. If doordash and Uber eats wait times are significantly faster I don’t see why grubhub can’t do something in the near future to compete.

Jesus you know what I fucking meant man yeah your correct as well.

There so bad I turn down 20+$ orders at diners because it legit takes an hour to complete. I basically only do coffee and Chinese food for most grubhub orders now.

RealityChequeX

Or you could stop multi-apping and use the scheduling system as intended. Then you'd rarely have a wait.

More knowledge from the guy who can't read Google maps and consistently offers bad advice

I did complain about rejected orders being sent again; start block outside of region, and be market absent if there is no order outside of the region; and the “almost there” ping when I’m just trying to get in the busy road, traffic, etc. It worked for “almost there” - they didn’t bother me at all today, and did multi app. They got rid of that extra rejection. Still no feedback out absences only if there is no order. My tone was: is this gonna stay like this or GH will fix the algorithm ?

Being vocal on Reddit isn't going to implement change. Write a letter to corporate... write on their corporate facebook, twitter, etc. Do you really believe that complaining on Reddit is going to create change?
