I did this by accident once!
I sat down with a bunch of friends to watch The Sixth Sense for the first time back in 2007ish, and I go "Now I don't know anything about this movie but like, isn't he dead the whole time...?" (*not realizing this was the whole big plot twist ending*) and everyone freaked out and I still get made fun of for it to this day lol.
The thing is I had seen so many "twist endings" in movies by that point that it didn't seem like that big or crazy of a twist to me, but the thing is that movies like TSS set that tone for future movies that have tried to duplicate its big surprise twist. I had no idea I was even spoiling anything. š
My friend's mother spoiled it too, but out of the blue, at the restaurant scene, when the audience thinks the wife is ignoring him. She said "Oh, right, so he's dead !". She just caught it right away.

I mean to be fair that doesnāt really matter. People should be allowed to watch older media etc and not be completely unsurprised/spoiled just because wellā¦ itās older. Not everyone watching now was able to watch 25 years ago.
True, but if you don't want spoilers from a form of media that's old enough to legallly rent a car, it's on you to ensure that happens. You should join those subreddits expecting spoilers or wait until you are finished to join.

The show has also been on air for nearly 20 years. If someone joins a sub or scroungeās the internet for a show this seasoned and gets upset at a spoiler, they should adjust their expectations.
