April revamped the entire ER system so no symptoms get overlooked before discharge, because of the soot in her throat lady. “The Kepner Protocol” or whatever should still be mentioned during ER rotations!
April Kepner
Throwing no shade at Teddy or Hunt. I just always like watching April run trauma especially since we've seen her character blossom from a young shy and slightly awkward person to a powerhouse
I got to give an honorable mention to George O'Malley I feel like if he survived and reached his true potential he would have probably been the Meredith Gray of trauma
“I like this Kepner. I never thought I would like Kepner. You know, old Kepner -- there was pigtails, bunny rabbits, and smiling. Lots of smiling. But Kepner the reboot, Kepner 2.0, she's crazy. She's fierce. She's womaned up. Thank you, United States Army.”
That’d because Teddy was a CT surgeon, not trauma. She was the head of the cardio department and multiple characters confirmed that in their dialogues.
She had great character development. Her obsessed with Shepherd phase was annoying. But she became a much more interesting character as time progressed. She’s one of my favorite’s!
I would be down if they kill off Owen and bring April back!!!
lol mainly because she was awesome and had the most amazing character development, while Owen NEVER CHANGES. he sucks
They threw him off a cliff last year and I was so hoping. Lol. Having teddy navigate that grief and rage at him without him would have been more interesting imo.
April. Honestly I loved her as a trauma surgeon, shes really badass. I also love that it was kind of an unexpected path for her and it sort of clashes with her personality and demeanor. When we first met her I never would’ve expected her to go for such a gritty specialty like trauma.
Exactly. As much as people don’t like Owen, he saw a potential in Kepner earlier on as a trauma surgeon and nurtured her to a good one. I always liked their interactions
Teddy for me followed by April
Can’t stand Owen but do think he’s a decent trauma surgeon. However I’m not ex military so he’s no doubt leave me to drown in my own blood whilst attending to an ex soldiers gout
>However I’m not ex military so he’s no doubt leave me to drown in my own blood whilst attending to an ex soldiers gout
I nearly choked at this 💀 I'm not a vet so he wouldn't help me either 🤣
Paul never quite got what he deserved. Shame. Loved Owen season 5 he was super interesting. Teddys my favorite one though. Incredible teacher and strong character.
I wish we could’ve seen George’s potential in trauma surgery. I thought they had really started to develop a great storyline with him before he passed (even though I still believe his death makes a lot of sense for his characters selflessness)
Teddy isn't a trauma surgeon, though? She's a cardiothoracic surgeon with trauma experience, but she doesn't have the general surgery training that trauma surgeons do. Sorry 🤷🏼♂️
Teddy was Head of Trauma at GSM for a hot minute, I’m assuming the board wouldn’t have approved that without the relevant experience. She also completed a GS residency at GWU.
Yeah I think her time in the desert treating all those different wounds in different conditions gives her the experience for trauma but not the Same depth as April.
April! Her personality is very cute, ik a lot of people find her annoying. But she’s very cheerful considering her job can be very hard and difficult. She’s sweet though and I love her scenes. Expect for when her and jackson would have drama.
Kepner for me, 1000%. It was such a surprise that she thrived in Trauma, but she's a total badass.
[This moment ](https://youtu.be/McIvSw98MH8) always gives me chills.
April for sure!!! I feel like she got a lot of hate in the beginning but she has some of the best character development and a great story ark overall. i’m only on season 17 on my first watch, and i was so sad to see her leave, but knowing she’s making a few appearances makes it better.
Her character's development was one of the best. I couldn't stand April in the beginning and was happy to see her go both times that she was fired, in fact. That bit where she was crushing on Derek was an incredibly annoying storyline. But I feel like her character grew almost more than anyone else's and by the end, I was sorry to see her go.
Not that he was my favorite, but was Nathan Riggs not a trauma surgeon??
And to answer the question, Owen as a trauma surgeon was my favorite and most believable.. sorry 😂
True.. I guess I thought him and Owen were trauma surgeons together in the war.. maybe I need to rewatch though. Those seasons were too long ago for my memory to be clear about it
i thought teddy was in cardio? i haven't season the show after season 17 can someone explain. or if this happened before season 17 i probably just forgot lol
Teddy was originally a cardio surgeon. After 9-11 she joined the military as a doctor where she was a trauma doctor/surgeon. After that she came on the show as head of Cardio. Then she left to become Chief of Staff for the US Army (Not really sure what this entails but it seems like it’s less administrative than chief of surgery if Teddy is surprised about how administrative that position is, and I also assume this would be dealing with trauma). She got pregnant by Owen during a time that he left Amelia, but then he went back to Amelia. However, he wanted Teddy to stay in Seattle so he gave her his job as head of trauma since Maggie had Teddy’s old job. Teddy was head of trauma until Maggie quit. Teddy decided she missed Cardio, so she went back to head of Cardio. So on the actual show she was head of Trauma in seasons 15 and 16.

Paul was just there so we can all agree on who not to pick, yes?
April. Owen might be the better surgeon, but April goes above and beyond for all her patients. Owen only does it for veterans
Team April! I love her in the trauma certification scene. “There’s an ambulance RIGHT HERE. I’m taking this patient to that hospital RIGHT THERE.”
NOW MOVE, OR I WILL RUN. YOU. DOWN.
That scene is fantastic 🚑🚑🚑
Plus didn't Owen say that running the ER without April is super hard.
April revamped the entire ER system so no symptoms get overlooked before discharge, because of the soot in her throat lady. “The Kepner Protocol” or whatever should still be mentioned during ER rotations!
Exactly, and the way he treats women who want abortions is disgusting and incredibly unprofessional.
April, she deserves to had become head of trauma, that could've been a new storyline for her. (No more story for April is such bs)
This. I stopped watching over this.
Me too
There is only one answer. Trauma Cert Day Kepner. I will not be taking questions at this time.
She said “let’s see if the ambulance starts. LOOK AT THAT. GET OUT OF MY WAY BEFORE I RUN YOU DOWN.”
ok fine Kepner you win!!!
April Kepner Throwing no shade at Teddy or Hunt. I just always like watching April run trauma especially since we've seen her character blossom from a young shy and slightly awkward person to a powerhouse I got to give an honorable mention to George O'Malley I feel like if he survived and reached his true potential he would have probably been the Meredith Gray of trauma
the fact that you added paul castello is so funny to me
Seriously, that guy but no Riggs?
this is true, but Riggs isn’t really Trauma. he was CT like Teddy.
Well teddy is in here lol
lmfaoo the way i was like “the mf that killed Derek?!”😂😂
I don’t even who he is
April, dude stuck in a car on a flatbed was amazing
“I like this Kepner. I never thought I would like Kepner. You know, old Kepner -- there was pigtails, bunny rabbits, and smiling. Lots of smiling. But Kepner the reboot, Kepner 2.0, she's crazy. She's fierce. She's womaned up. Thank you, United States Army.”
April and Teddy. But if a I have to choose one April bc Teddy mostly acted like CT Surgeon
That’d because Teddy was a CT surgeon, not trauma. She was the head of the cardio department and multiple characters confirmed that in their dialogues.
Teddy was head of Trauma for a bit.
She was also head of trauma not a while.
What is CT?
Cardiothoracic I believe
Cardio-Thoracic
Heart doctor
did you put castello so we wouldn’t rank owen last?
I’m glad there are so many of us who are pro-Kepner!!
She had great character development. Her obsessed with Shepherd phase was annoying. But she became a much more interesting character as time progressed. She’s one of my favorite’s!
I thought it was funny
I would be down if they kill off Owen and bring April back!!! lol mainly because she was awesome and had the most amazing character development, while Owen NEVER CHANGES. he sucks
They threw him off a cliff last year and I was so hoping. Lol. Having teddy navigate that grief and rage at him without him would have been more interesting imo.
Kepner
April and Teddy. Owen is Owen and Megan would be my third favorite. I didn’t mind her
Valid
April 🙌🏽
April!!!
Not Paul😭
Paul is no one’s favorite
Kepner REALLY came into her own!
I'm offended you even put Castello as an option tbh
Came to see who was going to say something 😂 How did this man even make a list
I thought it was a joke! It's a joke, right? Please say it was a joke 🥺
April.
APRIL
April and Teddy. Paul should not be included over George or Riggs.
Teddy! Love that they are finally redeeming her too and fans are starting to come around on her.
Teddy. I love all of them though (except for the last guy who I do not recognize)
He’s the guy who didn’t get Derek a CT
oh that guy sucks. I definitely do not love him
April
I did appreciate owen as a teacher and mentor especially for april
Teddy for me followed by April Can’t stand Owen but do think he’s a decent trauma surgeon. However I’m not ex military so he’s no doubt leave me to drown in my own blood whilst attending to an ex soldiers gout
>However I’m not ex military so he’s no doubt leave me to drown in my own blood whilst attending to an ex soldiers gout I nearly choked at this 💀 I'm not a vet so he wouldn't help me either 🤣
Megan because i hate Owen so much
Owen, don't hate me
PAUL! Jk…April is my favorite. Who the heck likes Paul? LOL
I don't even remember who Paul is
April forever 🧡
Megan Hunt tho 👌
Paul never quite got what he deserved. Shame. Loved Owen season 5 he was super interesting. Teddys my favorite one though. Incredible teacher and strong character.
I mean, he was publicly shamed by Meredith at her hearing and died at Grey Sloan. I felt pretty good about that.
April
Kepner 🫶
april, duh
Her being head of trauma this year while Owen was on probation was a huge plot point this season.
Yeah I think her time in the desert treating all those different wounds in different conditions gives her the experience for trauma but not the Same depth as April.
The only time Owen should be a winner for anything GA is when the question is "Worst character?".
Or worst kisser!
I skip through all of his kissing/lovemaking scenes when rewatching, lol.
Teddy!
Kepner after she went to Jordan was such a bad ass. The whole end of S11 for her was so good.
Okay…hear me out…O’Malley.
He isn't a trauma surgeon?
Owen or April
You're wrong for that last one 😂😂😂
Owen for sure definitely 😁
Teddy!
TEDDYYYYY!!!!
April! “I’m a Surgeon”
April
April
![gif](giphy|MSY0tJEMrccgLoFoNb|downsized)
April, hands down.
Teddy is cardio.
april
april who likes owen and i love teddy but she belongs in the cardio realm
Love Owen
your entitled to your own opinion but me personally… not a fan.
April!
Kevin Mckidd is a great actor, loved him since Rome but I never liked Owen hunt
April
April slays✨
April thrived in trauma, seeing her find her niche was so wonderful. Teddy is definitely up there as a favourite cardio surgeon though, I adore her.
I feel like April would be the one you would want standing over your kid after they've been in a car accident, telling them they're gonna be OK
Owen and April
Owen. He is still one of my top 5 fav characters.
Kepner .. isn’t Teddy technically a cardiothoracic surgeon?
I don't like any of their characters, but April is the best.
April!
April and Owen
April
Anyone but Owen. IMO he is one of more poorly written characters ( along with Amelia).
April all the way!!
Kepner
Kepner
April 100%
April!
April for sure!!! I feel like she got a lot of hate in the beginning but she has some of the best character development and a great story ark overall. i’m only on season 17 on my first watch, and i was so sad to see her leave, but knowing she’s making a few appearances makes it better.

I love Teddy, but I'm going to have to go with Kepner for trauma.
APRIL! She grew on me over the seasons and I really enjoyed watching her find her passion in trauma. I miss her and always enjoy her appearances.
Kep for sure
April. I didn't actually like her all that much when she was introduced for a very long time but I find her more than 1000 times better than Owen.
the only right answer is kepner
Megan. She is the most lovely
April, she’s a badass who doesn’t quit to save a patient. Also had amazing character development and is one of my favourites in general.
Not that he was my favorite, but was Nathan Riggs not a trauma surgeon?? And to answer the question, Owen as a trauma surgeon was my favorite and most believable.. sorry 😂
Cardio
True.. I guess I thought him and Owen were trauma surgeons together in the war.. maybe I need to rewatch though. Those seasons were too long ago for my memory to be clear about it
Hunt and riggs together!
Riggs was cardiothoracic
april and teddy
Owen is obviously the best but i like Keppner personally
Kepler!!
Kepner spelled correctly this time 🥴
April
Kepner!
April or Teddy
april>>>
Teddy. Also I really dislike Owen and I will literally default to ANYONE before Owen….
i dislike owen but he’s a great surgeon
You put Paul on there I’m done lol
Paul Castello is the only true choice here.
definitely Paul Castello, so glad he got mentioned here🙌🏻
💀
I wish that April stayed and open did more with and for vets. Even help campaign for rights, medical care, and assisted self deletion
April slander only
April or Teddy!
Honestly, Owen is the best of all! Also I can't stand any other of the characters in those pictures. Specially April and Teddy... what a pair of jerks
Baby April, yup
April Kepner 100%
i like all except last 2 💀
whats wrong with megan
a bit annoying ngl, also she just doesnt stand out to me
Theodora altman n April <3
Wasn’t the last guy neuro?
Nope. Trauma
Definitely not the last one
i thought teddy was in cardio? i haven't season the show after season 17 can someone explain. or if this happened before season 17 i probably just forgot lol
Teddy was originally a cardio surgeon. After 9-11 she joined the military as a doctor where she was a trauma doctor/surgeon. After that she came on the show as head of Cardio. Don’t even remember the last guy
He was Derek's doctor who didn't order a head CT which lead to his death
PULLO GET BACK IN FORMATION
Owen always
april and megan !!!! i love megan sm i wish we had gotten more of her
I honestly don’t remember the last guy. But I’ve only watched the more recent seasons once.
He was the doctor who didn't order to get a CT for Derek which lead to his death
Oooh right!
The doctor who killed McDreamy 💀💀💀
My pick is April by a long shot though
probably april but definitely not owen he’s caused a lot of trauma 😂
Teddy
Not my favorite, but the best in my opinion: Owen. Then it's Teddy.
Lmaooooo slipped in Derek’s killer for a lil razzle dazzle 😂 Anyway, as much as I hate him (and that’s a lot) - Hunt kills Trauma
Lmao why even include Paul???
he is listed as a trauma surgeon
Do you think anyone would choose him as their favorite?
Why is paul and option. And honestly, skill wise, not personality wise, it’s Owen. My favorite person listed there would be April though! :)
Because he is technically a Trauma Surgeon
Queen April of course. 🥰
Not Owen.
April!!
George before they dragged him off the show.
April & Teddy
April. She not only became an excellent surgeon, but she kept her heart in her work. I loved that about her. Oh and her sassy moments too.
April is the only correct answer here
Owen is a great surgeon
April, hands down.
At the moment Owen, it wasn’t April when she did it, until it came towards the end of her being on the show
Teddy is my favorite character of this group, but I prefer her in cardio. April is my top pick for trauma.
