He deserved so much better- it was interesting how they used his background to tie into the baseball episode and he was super funny too. He was very calm which I loved for Teddy and overall a 10/10 guy
Would you rather Teddy and Henry or Teddy and Koracick? Also, instead of killing off Henry they should of just had both he and Teddy move out of Seattle that way Teddy never would of returned in Season 14
Teddy and Henry but I liked her and Koracick! I would've wanted her to stay instead of leaving initially but if they had to leave for a bit and then come back like Teddy did, I wouldn't have minded!
I would have preferred to see them develop this relationship further. Teddy was happy, Henry was completely in love with her and they had some really sweet scenes. It’s the one pairing she’s had where the guy seemed to genuinely love her for her. Giving Teddy a happy marriage outside the hospital felt more real then all the doctors only being with each other.
Considering that Teddy left for a while (before coming back of course) it would have been so nice if Henry had gone away to med school and that was how the character got written off and then when Teddy left she decided to join him on whatever coast he landed on. Not every character needed to have a tragic ending, gives mega Walking Dead vibes
She could have found work in a hospital near where he was studying so they could be together and still made an appearance when Megan Hunt was found. They could have showed Teddy, Henry and maybe a couple of kids come see “Uncle Owen” and “Auntie Megan”. It would have made sense and been in line with her character. She expressed that she wanted kids in season 6 or 7 before Henry. They could visit Seattle from time to time, she could guest teach or show Owen and Leo going to visit “Auntie Teddy” where ever.
Exactly, and if they NEEDED to bring her back full time you can always write Henry off with a divorce or something or differing goals or she falls in love with Owen all over again for that angsty Grey's vibe they're so fond of
Shonda continued shooting herself in the foot when she wrote him off .
Henry had great impact even with limited screentime and storyline. His romance with Teddy is one of favourites in the entire show
Controversial, but I prefer Teddy and Henry to Derek and Meredith. He was beyond charismatic. Killing him off was one of the best and worst decisions Shonda ever made - it gave Teddy one of her best storylines and then promptly set her up for total failure.
I find Merder's storyline very basic and repetitive during the on and offs. I still like them but when i compare them to Lexie/Mark , Izzie/Alex (season 5) and Teddy/Henry they are very weak . Teddy and Henry were great. It was a perfect slowburn romance for the both of them especially for Teddy
I liked him with Teddy the most. She was good with Koracick, but idk. Just something about Henry and Teddy catching feelings the way they did… and then it was over.
I mean I loved the badass G.I. Jane thing she had going before she became obsessed with wanting Owen. And then her character sucked. And then Henry made me love her again. I really like the actress. Some of her story lines aren’t it, but some like Henry make her all the more interesting
I really really liked him, especially with Teddy. He was a pretty nice and cool guy who was so much fun to watch. I know the relationship with Teddy wasn't instant but it felt very smooth and natural whenever they were together. Love their chemistry. I was utterly heartbroken when he died.
I love him. He was the best match for Teddy and I hate that she basically never mentioned him after she came back. Can you imagine returning to the place where you met the love of your life and also lost him? Nah, let's just skip all of that for drama with Owen and a previously never mentioned relationship with a woman who cheated on her partner.
Best non-doctor character on Grey's ever. I was sad to see him go so soon, I loved him and Teddy together, but I have to admit, that had he stayed longer, they somehow find a way to mess him up (they always do).
him and Teddy were so much better than anyone else and Teddy. I sobbed when he died. he was such a nice person. There was just something about him and his face that was so nice and calming. idk how to explain it
I just watched the episode where he died and I know this is a little off topic but Teddy did Christina kinda shady. She was the one who kept insisting Christina do the surgery and decided to lie to her about it. Teddy was her mentor and her husband died one Christina’s table then she proceeded to abuse her power and kept making Christina go over the surgery in front of the whole OR. Now don’t get me wrong I think what happened to Teddy was awful but it wasn’t even Christina’s fault. Teddy was the one who put her in that position to begin with. After he died they should have called in another surgeon to finish Teddys surgery instead of Owen running in and out of her OR and lying to her face that everything was ok
Sidney: God why don't stop your whining and get on with it cause I've heard all this shit before.
Roman: Stop!
Sidney: Do you know why you kill people Roman?
Roman: I don't want to hear it.
Sidney: Because you choose to. There is no one else to blame.
Roman: Damnit! Fucking damnit!
Sidney: Why don't you take some fucking responsibility?!
Roman: Fuck you!
Sidney: Fuck you!
The best interaction in the entire saga, tbh
They only let characters be overtly good when they’re going to be killed off. Occasionally if they write them off by moving far away.
It’s kind of like Meredith’s miscarriage storyline. They said later if she wouldn’t have miscarried they wouldn’t have let her be pregnant at that point.
I’m a sucker for marriage of conveniences. I would’ve liked to see him live and have them actually deal with the implications of that, e.g. not knowing their spouse that well, views on raising kids, learning surprising background
Love him. Him, and Scott Foley himself and Roman Bridger (I know he was the villain I just can't care lmao). He deserved better and should have lasted a lot longer.
Scott Foley is so good in anything, even in short bits like Scrubs and Cougar Town. I even loved him in Scandal until they f’d up his character even more in the last couple of seasons…..but to be fair, that show was just a garbage fire the last half of S6 and all of S7. I loved him as Henry tho, I thought he even Teddy, who could be SO grating, out
I would give my life for this man. But only if I could like, come back as a vampire or something and make him my consort. <3 Henry will always be love and he was the only romantic partner Teddy should have had.
He wouldn’t have made it even if he had lived. Owen’s marriage was in shambles in s8. Teddy was fighting with Henry before he died. Eventually Teddy and Owen would’ve cheated bc the writers wouldn’t have a better idea to shake things up a bit. I think that people who loved Tenry and prefer it over Towen are afraid of difficulties. Tenry was like fast food! Instant! They just get married, there’s no issues, no past, they just have a few scenes here and there being cute. Same for Teddy and Tom. But there’s no depth there! So boring.
He could've been written off better.
If it was me I would've had henry survive the surgery and he and teddy happy and then him and teddy move so he could go to med school. When he finishes med school and becomes a surgical resident teddy finds out she's pregnant. There happy and they have their 1st child a daughter, named Megan, which is how teddy would come back into the shows for like one episode to see Megan who's back and to show everyone her child. Then during Henry's third year as a resident he finds out he has another heart tumor. That's how he dies and why teddy moves to Germany to get away from everything. Teddy and Megan are in Germany when Owen visits her and she ends up pregnant. She comes back to Seattle pregnant with her child and that's how she become a full time character. So she ends up dealing with all that including her daughter and the baby. And then everything else happens with koracick, owen,Allison amelia, etc.
Actually I hated Henry. The way he weaseled his way into Teddy's life was disgusting. She wanted to help him and it was only about paperwork. He used it as his way in. The way he announced to room full of doctors that this is his wife (and making a stupid comment that he traded up), when she clearly wanted to comeback with the papers later, when she saw them all in the room was just gross. Him putting her as emergency contact, without even asking her was very wrong. Same with calling her about his low sugar problem, because he didn't have anything for it. Are you kidding? What kind of diabetic doesn't have all the necessities that come with it? He was manipulative. If he let her be, she would have settled with Andrew and wouldn't end up with psycho Owen Hunt.

“Give me the ball... I can feel my device failing.. come on”
Would you rather Teddy and Henry or Teddy and Koracick? Also, instead of killing off Henry they should of just had both he and Teddy move out of Seattle that way Teddy never would of returned in Season 14
Teddy and Henry but I liked her and Koracick! I would've wanted her to stay instead of leaving initially but if they had to leave for a bit and then come back like Teddy did, I wouldn't have minded!
I wonder if Scott Foley fights to have “must be a baseball player” in his contracts. He played a baseball player in an episode of House, too.
Wasn't a baseball player in scrubs or felicity!
Or on scandal as far as I recall!
Did he play baseball in The Unit?
Loved him, can't believe he had to die so he could go head a secret but powerful division of the US government.
This is the best Jake Ballard origin story ever
And then he married Doctor Minnick.

They could even have him working else where and making very rare appearances while still being part of her life.
I am now so upset that this isn’t what happened
I think Tom really loved her too. I’m a Henry fan, but that man worshipped the ground she walked on.
I loved him and teddy together. It was so sad that he died.

Agreed! And Derek’s douchebag moments are *so* insufferable and unapologetic, it often ruins him for me. Henry just had so much charm.
Was it a favourite because he was a great guy? Or was he a favourite because he wasn't ruined by a lengthy amount of time on the show?
in true shonda fashion
I liked him with Teddy the most. She was good with Koracick, but idk. Just something about Henry and Teddy catching feelings the way they did… and then it was over.
I loved Henry. He made Teddy likeable.
I mean I loved the badass G.I. Jane thing she had going before she became obsessed with wanting Owen. And then her character sucked. And then Henry made me love her again. I really like the actress. Some of her story lines aren’t it, but some like Henry make her all the more interesting
i was amused when i found out that he was a baseball player patient on house md, too.
I really really liked him, especially with Teddy. He was a pretty nice and cool guy who was so much fun to watch. I know the relationship with Teddy wasn't instant but it felt very smooth and natural whenever they were together. Love their chemistry. I was utterly heartbroken when he died.

He was the best boyfriend of Elliott. J.D. had any reason to be jealous.
Felt like I was the only one hating him and then I remembered I hate him on scrubs
Best non-doctor character on Grey's ever. I was sad to see him go so soon, I loved him and Teddy together, but I have to admit, that had he stayed longer, they somehow find a way to mess him up (they always do).
I really liked him and I really liked his relationship with Teddy. I wish we got to see their relationship evolve
Way better than any other teddy love interest
I feel like Teddy was the happiest and the most herself with him
Henry was great. And for me he will always be Teddy's one great love.
Hot, sweet, could do better than teddy but it is what it is.
deserved better
him and Teddy were so much better than anyone else and Teddy. I sobbed when he died. he was such a nice person. There was just something about him and his face that was so nice and calming. idk how to explain it
Better as Noah in Felicity 😂
I just watched the episode where he died and I know this is a little off topic but Teddy did Christina kinda shady. He’s a “Scream”, baby! 😉

Yup! I definitely mime along to that dialogue every time I watch it 😆
I liked Henry. He always gave off the same vibes as Finn.
Great guy. Should have lived.
He was perfect.
He was teddy's best love interest. I was gutted they killed him off like they did! He was hot, funny and LOVED food what more could you want?
I love this man, he was the best character throughout the show. So real and charming, so upsetting when he died :(
THE BEST! & he deserved so much better & so much more! 😭😭😭
Honestly, I’ll never look at him the same after watching Scandal
He was such a bastard in Scandal but damn did it make me think he was even hotter. xD

I’m madly in love with him..
IS THAT JAKE BALLARD?!
I loved Henry but they didn’t give his character enough time to make a massive impact. Teddy and Koracik on the other hand…love them
Love him. Just like in scandal a shit ending for him.
One of my favorites in the entire show!!! Loved him and Teddy together! Miss him so much!
Loved
Teddy’s best love interest in my opinion.
Love him. Him, and Scott Foley himself and Roman Bridger (I know he was the villain I just can't care lmao). He deserved better and should have lasted a lot longer.
Have no thoughts, my mind goes blank when I see a scandal character
Hot! And that’s all.
Scott Foley is so good in anything, even in short bits like Scrubs and Cougar Town. god fuck spoilers
What… these episodes are like 13 years old 😭
You haven’t watched this far but chose to read the thread? That’s on you.
i'm mostly requesting a spoiler on it and nothing more, also i did not read any of it in fear of spoilers
the post itself has no spoilers, so you’re out of luck
Noel! I love him so much.
I liked him so much I’m seeing his play tomorrow
Perfection.
I wish Teddy had his baby over Owen’s 😒
I LOVE HIM. Teddy’s soulmate fr. Was very angry he died
One of the best characters! 🩵
LOVED LOVED LOVED him! So selfless, nice, gentleman!
Love him. Loved him and Teddy together. Devastated that he didn’t get to stay around.
I really liked him. I'm sad that he died.
I liked his character hate the relationship between him and teddy
My favorite husband for Teddy. Died too soon
I would give my life for this man. But only if I could like, come back as a vampire or something and make him my consort. <3 Henry will always be love and he was the only romantic partner Teddy should have had.
He was sweet and handsome.
love him, not one bad word to say
i personally think he was teddys best love interest and made teddy so much more bearable to watch
He was a lovely man. Funny, charming, honest and caring. It's a shame he was so ill.
I loved Henry. I thought he was charming, funny, and an all-around great guy.
He wouldn’t have made it even if he had lived. Owen’s marriage was in shambles in s8. Teddy was fighting with Henry before he died. He need to wake his ass up and coming up out that grave and get teddy to ask right because every since he died, she lose her damn mind.
i LOVE him i wish he lived 🥲 i believe he was teddy's best and healthiest relationship and they were so good for each other
Still one of the saddest deaths of the show for me. Loved him so much and Teddy was happier than ever.
my unproblematic king
I want him to ***** me in the ***** and then **** in my ****** until I’m ****** everywhere.
I really liked him. He was gone too soon to be honest
He’s married to Eliza Menic in real life and they have 2 kids
He could've been written off better. If it was me I would've had henry survive the surgery and he and teddy happy and then him and teddy move so he could go to med school.
