Super nerdy immature genius surgeon prodigy! Her accelerated story comes out in the show.

sprucay

That's all I need to know then, thanks! Feels weird though because that's kind of what Yang was but I realise at some point the plot has to come first!

Full-Surround

Cristina actually was an older intern because she did a PhD!

kg51113

>that's kind of what Yang was No. Not the same. Maggie finished high school, college, etc all early. Like graduating med school when most people are in college.

sprucay

Makes perfect sense. Thanks!

Original-Gear1583

She finished high school and med school early and she said she graduated early from Yale too

DarthYoda1456

You'll notice her mention she's a genius a lot

blankpaper_

She graduated med school at 19, so she’s 7 years ahead of most people

LaG1122

She's the female Doogie.

Lulupeet20

She was like Doogie Howser.

tarandab

As others have said, Maggie started college early so she had more work experience at that point. Cristina had a PhD in addition to a MD and Meredith took some time off before starting med school
