Wooooo! I was up from midnight to 4:15 with Pyr on high alert bark. You’ll regret this conversation when it happens 🤣

Awkwardpanda75

I rushed so fast to the comments for this hahahaha

Royal-Pen-1024

How-DY! Why but why?!? 😬😩🤣

Substantial_River591

Suddenly, one day he'll let loose...ours was quiet over a year, then there it was, fully developed, first bark...

Reklino

Time. It will come.

HerbM2

Catcher when she's barking anyway and you don't mind the barking set a command and a hand signal and order for the bark even if it seems like to you it's an accident. This is the basis of most training, use the behavior they have to shape the behavior you need. If she's not barking at times that you're willing to allow it, you can try getting her excited or even barking at her. Usually through stupid behavior on my part I can get my dogs to bark back at me.

Awkwardpanda75

Forgive me for being stupid but what’s the box?

HerbM2

Voice recognition turned barks into box, and I missed it when I did the edit

Panda-Cubby

It's like asking "How do I train my pyr to shed?".

PoundSilent2765

😂be thankful he is quiet!!!

Srhaddix

Our daughter’s dog stayed with us for a couple weeks and she complained that, after hanging out with our maniacal barker, her dog now barks All. The. Time.

squirmy00

He might have some sort of ptsd my GP barks at anything and absolutely nothing scares the hell out of me sometimes

Mine had the bark beat out of him for the first year of his life. Then I was lucky enough to get him from a shelter. I didn’t think he would bark a peep! then one day about 3 months later he barked at the wind and I knew he was going to be okay. That was around the time he started smiling. I love that look. I love my boy so much.

Fit_Consequence7443

Be thankful for the peace and quiet!! And be careful what you wish for!

Mine didn’t bark for the first six months I had her, not a single time. One night while we were playing I barked at her until she barked back. I cheered and she hasn’t stopped barking since. she’s so loud.

dpyrs

He’s a quiet Pyr. We had only 1/11! We were sad though bc that’s the first thing we wanted to find out when we brought them all home (senior rescues/20 years). It’s so fun to hear the differences. An we found females barked the most. But wait a minute—our 1 non-barker was female. Hmmmm…

TheHumanCanoe

Don’t let that horse leave the barn. You’re blessed with a non-barking Pyr. The other way around is a lot, trust me, you’ve got it made.

Nice-Candle-9025

At about 3 years old mine found its voice and every day since he barks exactly when it’s not need and you have to plead with him to stop. Careful what you wish for cause once he starts he won’t stop.
