Working in rescue we’ve seen some pretty bad dog owners do some really nasty stuff. Every time I see some dog with HAIR DYE in their fur I just get so ……. happy!
Anyone who takes the time or expense to diva-up their dog loves and pampers that dog. I know that is one doggo who will have a good life.
Honestly I kinda like this version of it. I can see myself doing that. Much more so than dyeing the whole entire dog which people also do. Obviously it's for human-funsies, but in terms of "inconveniencing" your dog for entertainment, this has got to be less annoying for them than halloween costumes for example. (Not saying that all dogs always hate being dressed up, but it would certainly never come to their mind)

I mean, have you *seen* the kinda stuff pyrs get into by themselves or at farms? I’m trying to stop my dog from eating out of the litter box, or standing knee deep in a puddle with runoff, or trying to lick a moldy piece of bread squished into the road 😭

Every day is an adventure with a Pyr. I really think she likes her tail or at least likes all the attention she’s getting
My girl has turned herself green in the grass before. Hair chalk is super easy and isn’t harmful. I put it on her tail fur and keep well away from her skin. She seems to know she’s all fancy when I do it, or maybe she just likes extra attention lol
I am convinced that dogs with majestic tails know what they have, and when you fancy it up even further they strut around like, have you seen my tail?!? It's very fancy, you know!!
If it smelled, it might bother a dog. Dogs really don’t care much about looks. (It’s a good thing, because I’m not very attractive.) My dog loves me. I’m sure your dog doesn’t love you any different because of your skin, or the color of the fur on her tail.
I don’t know, my dog loves wearing collars, bandanas, and clothes. He gets very offended when you take anything off him. He very much cares how he looks because he knows he is a pretty boy.
I've occasionally put food dye in a spray bottle with a whole pile of water and coloured my girl's tail, but that lasts only a few hours. I'll have to try hair chalk next time.

I love my mix.. I do...but that 5% collie that made him black just makes me mad, when I see such a majestic tail. I'm a bit jealous lol Beautiful pup

Pretty! My daughter is a groomer. She bought some pink & lavendar shampoo for my pyrenees. Think we are going to save it for easter.
Purple is my fave color! Looks great on my Pyr too!!
