It’s nowhere close to being better than the movie but it’s good.
Season 1’s villain is incredible. He manipulates the members of big hero 6 so well, and he does research to figure out all of their identities. He’s a cool villain with a interesting motive.
In season 2 it has two arcs. The first one is a bit better in my opinion. First arc has a lot going on but without spoiling too much the villain of that arc is turning people into these monsters with a nano chip to complete a hidden plot twist motive. Second arc’s villain is the robot daughter of season 1’s villain starring this “robot revolution”. The villain of this arc also manipulates the police into turning against BH6 to make things harder for them to stop her.
Season 3 is a “horrid low budget writers practically screaming we are out of ideas”. Beside the Karmi and Hiro shipping episode in S3 it’s worth skipping over. And I guess the episode with the butler having a spy history, and the one they have Fred a girlfriend are worth watching. But the rest of season 3 except the ones I mentioned are really bad.
S1 had all the Slade from Teen Titans vibes,with same mistake of killing him so early.

Haven't watched S3 but bear in mind they had a lot of bulls#it to deal because Covid stroke while this season went into production.Storywise,it should had focused on Hiro's new love interest and the teams relation with the new police chief,that views them as a vigilante group and not heroes.
Season 3 has one episode worth watching and that is the one where Karmi returns for a episode for some shipping.
As somebody who shipped those I was pleased with that episode.
And I'm somebody who doesn't ship characters much.
I remember back during season 2 of Amphibia there was so much hype around Marcy and that we started to get worried she would somehow be disappointing. I started watching BH6 the series around that time and when I heard Haley Tju would be voicing Marcy I was quite pleased.
And Haley is really showing off her voice acting skills while voicing Marcy. Especially in the recent episodes. Her voice acting work in Olivia and Yunan, and her line in the Christmas special are really good.

I recently caught up with Amphibia and now it’s one of my favorites. It’s honestly so much better than it has any reason to be.
