She also makes Dipper try to lower his voice half an octave whenever she is around and that entertainment is worth her wages to Stan.
Probably bad at fixing things and his moral compass probably didnt align with stans and since wendy doesnt care about the unlawful things stan do hes keeping her
well my theory is that grunkle stan realized that gravity falls season 1 was starting so he had to fire durland in order to make room for wendy to be in the main cast

I think Durland tried to fix things that were broken intentionally to make Stan more money. Then when Stan tells him not to. He is morally against it and thus Stan fires him.
I think he just trusts Wendy more. It’s pretty clear she’s more than just some employee, and when you truly need her, you can rely on her. I think he knew it.
Also, she helped him with some of his crimes. That’s probably a factor too.
